My daughter comes to San Simeon every January in and gets a massage at diva day spa This year I was joining her and she asked if I would also like a massage. I had my massage with Sue Kwansy. I asked if she had time to upgrade me to a 90 minute massage and she did. By far this is one of the best massages I have had! She asked all the right questions on the type of massages I like, she asked if I had any points that she needed to concentrate on She assured me she was massaging me from head to tell and she did! She used firm but soothing pressure, hot towels, hot stones and essential oils just where I needed it This lady knows her stuff! If you find yourself and San Simeon or Cambria take the time to get a massage at diva Day spa. This is an amazing salon!!! Everyone there is so kind and so sweet. Emily came out to the parking lot and helped me find the suite when I couldn't find it on my own. They offered my mom and I a drink when we got inside. Then Sherry did my hair for my wedding! I asked for beach waves and boy did she deliver! She did an amazing job. It's breezy and a little rainy out so she put extra hair spray in. My hair is very fine and usually doesn't keep a curl, but I'm holding up great so far! Everyone inside was so friendly. I wish I lived closer so I could go all the time. If you need curls, go to Sherry! Otherwise, this salon is so awesome they can do anything you want. After reading the reviews, I was really excited to book an appointment and that was a really easy process. Judy was lovely to speak to on the phone and I easily got an appointment for the time that I wanted. I asked what the mask policy was and I learned that masks are not required in the spa but that I could request that my massage therapist to wear a mask when I got there. I arrived to my appointment and it's in a gorgeous location right by the ocean. I asked my massage therapist if she could wear a mask and she said that she was unaware of what Judy had said on the phone and that the room was too small and that she really didn't think she could wear a mask for 90 minutes and be able to breathe. At present time, Covid cases are on the rise and I'm traveling by myself so I'm more on the cautious side and prefer masks. My massage therapist at home wears a mask for over two hours with all of her clients as her standard practice. I know that everyone has a different take on masks, but it is appreciated that what is said over the phone is then what happens at the spa. There was an air filter in the room which was nice. I was able to wear my mask for the whole session without any problems breathing in the small room. The massage was a fairly standard massage. You can request hot stones and it was more of a massage with a little hot stone added not like some other hot stone massages that I've had that integrate the stones throughout the whole treatment. All in all, my advice is if you want your massage therapist to wear a mask this is not the best place to come. read more

Thank you Sue Kwasny, massage therapist, for relieving my pain. You were prompt and ready to go when I arrived. Plus you gave me a solid hour of therapy. It really helped me get rebalanced and dissolve that week old pain. This was my first visit to Diva Day spa and it is a beautiful spa with a very peaceful, serene atmosphere. The table was comfortably heated and lovely, heated towels were used throughout my hour long massage. Doterra essential oils were also used as part of the therapy. I had my hair cut and colored today at this Spa. Brittany Pope did a great job on giving me a change of hair color and a nice haircut. She spent alot of time talking with me and looking at my hair. She presented some options to me and let me decide what I wanted to do. I am very pleased with the results. The staff even offered to include me as they ordered their takeout lunches from the Cavalier Restaurant which was nice as I was there over the lunch hour. The icing on the cake....an ocean view while you are sitting in the chair. The other things I noted were that it was a quiet, relaxing atmosphere and professional staff. My grandmother and I were visiting the area for a mini-birthday vacation, and massages sounded like a great addiction to our trip! This was my first massage and I don't think I could have picked a better place for my first experience. First of all the way we were approached was wonderful. A very open and welcome feel to this place. A wonderful ambiance as you're taken back to the individual massage rooms. My masseuse was Rite, and she was amazing! While the atmosphere at Diva ranks right up there with swanky LA and San Francisco salons (complete with an ocean view that's do die for!), clients are instantly put at ease by the staff's casual rapport, good humor, professionalism, and sincere interest in the needs of their clients. Everyone is special at Diva ... They even host a once-a-year Thank-you party to show us just that! Christine's knowledge of skin and skin products is a marvel -- how she makes a brow waxing a totally relaxing experience is beyond me (and I have highly sensitive skin!) ... but the comfy massage bed and ambient music, coupled with her engaging conversation, are likely contributors. I am so much more educated on my own skin and its needs thanks to Christine! If you are lucky enough to get an appointment with Judy, who also owns the salon, you won't be disappointed. Here's why Judy's great: 1) Her knowledge of what works well with YOUR hair in terms of cut and color is off the charts; 2) She remembers everything: from your hair color regimen to the side on which you part your hair; 3) She's all about service: i.e. never fails to offer me coffee with my favorite creamer and the occasional cheese & cracker plate; 4) She can identify virtually every artist, duo, or group on the 70s-80s Satellite radio station, often played in the salon. And important to note: Although the salon carries the best products for hair and skin out there -- most of them not found anywhere else in Cambria or San Simeon -- you never feel they are "pushed" on you. You will walk out of Diva looking AT LEAST 10 years younger and feeling really good about yourself. This big town salon with small town values gets a well-deserved five-stars in my book! read more

I came here at the recommendation of a friend I was visiting. I got a fabulous massage with Diana - so fabulous, I came back for a second massage during my trip. My friend raved about the other massage therapist, Sue. While I was there, I also bought some tinted moisturizer. When I returned home and tried to use it, it reacted badly with my skincare moisturizer. I could not get it to apply smoothly. I called and, without question, they said to return it. They refunded the full amount the minute they received the product back. It is rare to have the level of customer service that Diva Day Spa demonstrates. If you are in the area, you must give them a try! I know I'll be back the next time I'm in Cambria. read more

My wife and I just had our first trip away since our 18-month son was born, so I wanted an experience that left my wife feeling pampered and relaxed. The most fantastic facial on the central coast! I visited the adorable seaside town of Cambria last weekend and decided to treat myself to a spa appointment to really get relaxed. After searching and reading reviews, I decided to visit Diva Day Spa. The spa is minutes away in nearby San Simeon in one of the most picturesque locations I could imagine. Diva is a Spa/Salon combo and as you walk in, you see that all of the windows overlook the beautiful Pacific Ocean. I booked a one hour customized facial with Christine and was so happy I did! My skin was so soft, smooth and clean afterwards and I was incredibly relaxed. Christine took the time to really understand my needs and tailor the treatment just to me. On top of that, it was super affordable and being from Orange County, I couldn't believe what a great deal I was getting. The entire spa/salon staff were so friendly, I wish I could make this my regular stop for hair, nails and treatments. I guess I will just have to settle with visiting again! read more
