I come in from Cleveland, OH to see family and I have always been happy at this nail salon. I travel a lot for my work and I have been many places for nail work. This spa ranks in the top 5 and #1 in this area. Out of my three experiences at Diva, I rank all of them a "5." The prices are very reasonable! I have been to several others in Scotch Plains and Westfield. I will continue to go back. I like to treat my granddaughter to service there too (she is 10). I asked for a powder dip and June did a wonderful job! The added treat was a 20 minute massage on my shoulders, back and neck while I had my manicure! Over expensive for no reason. I called for a last-minute appointment to see if they were able to get me in asap. This place was super empty on Father's Day .. and now I understand why. It should not have taken a full hour and some change to get a gel pedicure. And to top it off the lady kept putting the light on top of my toes and smudging them! She blamed me for "moving" my foot when I didn't!! She misinterpreted how thick the light piece came out so when she measured it down to my foot the inner area kept hitting right on top. Instead of redoing that nail she decides to just paint over it ...over and over and over again until she finally got it right. Not to mention my big toe nail is slanted and looks crazy now. read more

I wish I could give them one star. I'm so angry it's not even funny. I walked in for an eyebrow and lip waxing (my wax machine is broken and they were getting too furry for my liking). All I wanted was a clean up on my eyebrows. The woman (with glasses) who did my eyebrows did a HORRIBLE job! I had no words when I saw my eyebrows. She made one shorter than the other, one thinner than the other, and without an arch at all!!! How can you do that to someone?! Especially when I have grown in eyebrows and the shape is easy to distinguish. When told her I was not happy with it she told me oh it'll be okay if you fill it in with an eyebrow pencil. Wtf?! I don't use an eyebrow pencil because my eyebrows have enough hair on them, but now they look freakin ridiculous !!!! Ugh! I'm never ever going to this place again, they are horrible at waxing. Oh and btw..she also waxed the two sides of my lip and didn't wax the center. Luckily my hairs aren't super dark on my upper lip or else I would of looked like Hitler. CLEAN...GREAT WORK! The problem with Diva nail spa is the owners need to learn how to treat customers. I came in for a Gel mani/pedi for $49 which I saw online after searching the website via Google. It seemed to be a decent deal being that I'd been here before and thought that they were a bit pricey. It was Easter weekend and I had been looking for a good nail salon for sometime since moving to NJ from NY. So after going to many different salons I liked Diva nail spa service the best. I decided to try them again. Now let me just say Lucy did my nails and she was exceptionally good very thorough and I was very satisfied with her work. I'm really sad because I wanted to come back, because I was really happy with my mani/pedi. The problem I had was with the owner. So after being serviced I came to the register and this rude Asian man quotes me a price of $60 and I proceed to tell him about an ad which was on his website via google. He proceeded to tell me they have no website, which was pissing me off by the minute. So he continues to go back & forth with me regarding this ad. He then adds insult to injury by insulting my intelligence, telling me that he never saw this ad didn't know where it came from and he needs to call somebody, because it's a fake ad. Being a branded merchant I knew much better it was their ad and they neglected to remove it once the special ( which had NO EXPIRATION date) was over. I could have even accepted if he took responsibility to say yes... this was a special we were running and it ended last month. They need to learn how to treat ALL customers, not just the ones who have been coming for years. HERES SOME FREE ADVICE FOR THE OWNERS...NEVER RISK LOOSING A POTENTIAL CUSTOMER FOR A DIFFERENCE OF $11. HONESTLY, ITS NOT WORTH IT! I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to this salon. I live in Fanwood and have been to this salon several times. Each time I leave, I feel like I didn't get a good enough service for the price. Gave my 6 year old a manicure and pedicure while cutting out the extra steps but still charged the same price as mine, $30. Other area salons charge $10 - $15 as they aren't doing anything but filing and painting. I skipped the $10 callous remover on my feet this time for the sake of time and didn't even get my dead skin scrubbed off in the area of my callouses or heels. So because I didn't pay for the extra callous remover, I'm not supped to get a good foot scrub? I make $40 an hour as a professional with a MA degree. I expect that another professional work just as hard trying to remove my dead skin and callouses while making $20+ for a half an hour work. I can soak my own feet, cut my nails, and paint them for free. read more

Took my daughter there to get her a manicure/pedicure for the $49 advertised price as quoted on the phone. When my daughter went to pay, that $49 mani/pedi , the cost was now $67 because she was paying with a gift cert from their store and not cash, and because she picked the wrong color nail polish, (but not told there would be a difference in price.) BETTER SCAMMERS THAN JOANNE THE SCAMMER!!! My first and last visit to Diva Nails. Came here based on a glowing review from a coworker. After arriving with high expectations, I was quickly disappointed minutes after arriving. None of the workers seemed to be in the slightest enthused to assist me and my friend. After us looking at their service menu for only a quick glance, they seemed annoyed that we weren't fully ready to sit down and begin our service. After another second of glancing at the menu, we picked our colors and sat down to begin our pedicure. Now I will say, this review is not to bash the work of the people employed at diva nails. My nails and toes look wonderful. It is the sneaky-ness of prices that made me never want to return. I got a pedicure which was listed as $25 which was all fine and well. Then selected to get a full set which on the board read $40, a normal price I pay for a full set at any other salon I go to. After the pedicure, I sat down to begin my full set. The girl did a great job. Although it seemed to take a very long time for her to do the nails, I was happy with the job she did. Went to check out and my total came to $95 for a full set and a pedicure which is RIDICULOUS and UNHEARD of. I tried to point out that the board said $40 and that's what I was expecting but the woman at the counter argued with me. Eventually I gave up, paid the bill, and left with much frustration. The older woman at the counter had been rude to me my entire experience and definitely made up my mind to give my business elsewhere. It was palpable she was very money hungry. Usually at nail salons I will always have to tell them to fix something, but was so satisfied with the way my nails turned out. Always gives grief if you don't have an appointment for gel manicures. Just today I arrived at 5:20pm and they close at 6pm, he told me to come back another day. So incredibly rude. I went into for a manicure/pedicure before I traveling. They had a very limited choice of nail colors. My manicure was fast and nothing special. My pedicure was slow and she hurt me several times. That night, one of my toes was bright red and swollen. The throbbing woke me up during the night. A week later, I'm off to the doctor as I have an infection. Never again. read more

Not impressed! First, I was rushed when picking a color. Then, while getting my pedicure, the woman pulled a big piece of skin off my toe and didn't respond at all when I told her she had hurt me. It got to the point that I had to ask her not to clean my cuticles on the other foot because she was doing it so roughly. I had to come home and put bacitracin on it. I was visiting from DC to see family for Easter weekend and I normally frequent this salon and get good service. Here it goes: For one, It was on me not knowing what time the salon closes but I arrived 30 minutes to it closing. When I got there, I asked for a mani/pedi unbeknownst to the closing time and when they told me, I opted for a gel mani. Tell me why my gel mani was completed within 15 minutes!!! I never had a gel mani completed so fast. It was rushed and done in poor taste. I had a previous gel set on and she did not do the solution and file technique, she scraped and left some of the previous gel on. As she smooths my nails, she dusted the residual off but didn't ask me to go wash my hands without soap. She applied the gel coat on my nail without rinsing off the dust. Like, what!! Then, she applied the gel incorrectly instead of top to bottom, she was going across. Who does that? The owner kept telling me it was a nice color but the strokes and uneven filing was horrendous. This is not technique you can be proud of as an owenr. One of the other nail techs said I complained too much as I quietly told my friend who was getting her nails done. The audacity. Never again. I didn't even leave a tip. I would never receive treatment like that in DC. read more

They have lots and lots of nail polishes and gel colors to choose from, always new in style colors to Choose from. The looks of this salon will fool you into thinking it is of a higher standard. The work done there is mediocre at best, and when you ask (certain) nail techs to fix certain things or mention that your nails do not look nice, they give you attitude and insist that there is nothing wrong. For example, my last time there my little sister was so unhappy with how sloppy her nails came out and she mentioned it to the lady doing her nails and the owner came over with an attitude, mad at us because we didn't like it. Then they have the nerve to be pricey as well. Do yourself a favor and do not spend your money there. Spend it at a nail salon where the nail techs actually care about providing quality service and the owner is respectful. read more

Best Nail Salon in Fanwood. I regularly get gel manicures with Sammy and she is friendly, fast, and meticulous. She also does a great eyebrow wax. They do good pedicures here as well. I have never had any bad experiences with the owners. If you show up for a gel manicure (which takes an hour) 40 minutes before closing time, of course you will be turned away. Whenever I visit from out of town, I stop by to get my nails done. Until now, I have been happy. This time, I opted for a shellac which I have been getting elsewhere for over a year. It was terrible. The process seemed rush without properly prepping my nails. As a result, I had bubbles in the shellac. When I pointed this out to the manicurist, he said I must have hit the dryer and did nothing to correct it. read more

The worst PEDICURE EVER! It was more like a 25 minute "polish change"

My friend & I had gotten pedicures done here once and were satisfied with the results. We went back a second time on a Saturday for pedicures. They were busy and we didn't have an appointment but we were willing to wait, however there's was a guy (not sure but he might be the owner), he was rude and smirked at us when we requested pedicures. I guess because they were busy he didn't think he needed the business. We will not return. We've since found a place nearby that does better nails and has much better customer service. read more
