The most beautiful location and yet the worst experience I've ever had ! My regular nail place had no appointments and i needed a powder gel mani , i went on yelp and found that people had positive reviews for diva nails and yelp hasn't let me down yet ..... i went in and lee proceeded to give me. This is my favorite nail place, I'm really going to miss it if and when I no longer work in this area. Mondays to Wednesdays are now half off waxing and a $20 mani and pedi. Sometimes I treat myself to the mani and pedi combo and I am never disappointed in the job they do. I try to go on schedule for eyebrow waxing but I don't always end up going in every two weeks like you are supposed to. They are clean, the staff is just wonderful and everyone does a good job, I've always been impressed with whichever stylist has worked with me. Esther is the manager and she's really awesome, everyone loves her. I'm usually able to go without an appointment, although occasionally I've been asked if I could come back later or the next day. I always give a nice tip because it's worth it. If you live in Hewlett or stop in the area for whatever reason this place is one of the town's treasures. read more

This was my first time here because I am still looking for my favorite nail place. Unfortunately this is not it. This place has so much potential though. I got a manicure and a pedicure for $25 bucks. The pedicure: The massage chairs are good. The pedicure itself is just okay. The person I had didn't really scrub my feet much. She was also constantly leaving to go help or assist someone else which was really annoying. What I did like was the hot stone massage and the paraffin wax on my heels. The manicure: I usually like the same person to do my feet and hands. Two different people did my manicure. Someone new filed my nails and then someone else polished my nails. Frustrating! The first woman was too busy looking over at other people's conversations and too lazy to cut my cuticles the correct way. I also had a nail that was broken close to my skin so I asked her about putting some glue so it didn't rip. She said "it's fine". The second woman that came to polish my nails looked at it and made a better call. She put the glue and powder. My nails came out fine but the service was all over the place that it made the experience unpleasant. Will I go back? If I'm out of options. Update: 1 day later- Three of my nails already chipped! It has been less that 24 hours. I've lowered the review to one star because at the price that you pay, this should not happen the next day! read more

My advice to you about Diva is simply this - do not give Esther (owner) your business. Esther overbooks appointments and then when you get there she says "Oh, no you didn't have an appointment". I had been returning for a while, but finally decided that Esther so disrespects her customers, even the ones who have supported her business for years and she is not deserving of such loyal business. Don't rely on your appointments - she will pretend you never made one so that she can double, triple, quadruple book customers and let them wait knowing that at this point they have no better option especially for those who have events, interviews, etc. An example - I made an appointment a week in advance. When I arrived, Esther insisted that I had never made the appointment and proceeded to send at least 4 other women ahead of me! She did this to another woman while I was there, and a few months ago did the same to my mother and a friend separately. The most disturbing of this was when I approached her politely and explained that it was really not a nice thing for her to allow so many women ahead of me and allow a loyal customer to wait 50 minutes for an appointment that was made in advance. Esther's response - NONE! She literally completely ignored me and then began talking to somebody else. I was so stunned at how rude she was. I stated again that I felt disrespected and if there was anything she could do to keep my coming back after being her customer for years, and she yelled in my face "I DON'T KNOW I DON'T KNOW!" Even more shockingly, she did this to others I know. This is not a human being who is prepared to run a business based on hospitality and making a person feel taken care of. Isn't that what we go to nail salons for? Stay away from Diva Nails, and choose a place where the owners treat you with respect and appreciate the money you're paying.
