First time to dive on Oahu- the crew was friendly and we had a short boat drive to the 100ft wreck dive. It was an amazing wreck to see. Lots of creatures hangin out. The crew was nice. More safety instructions about the boat than there was about the equipment which was frustrating because my dive computer didn't function properly. Good explanation of the site and our route though not much about the creatures we would hope to see or did see. Overall, a great dive site and good staff. Thank you! read more

I went diving for the first time yesterday with Dive Oahu. Everyone was amazing through the whole experience. Kendall from the office was super friendly and the dudes on the boat were amazing. We went on a 7am charter with Peter. The 1st dive was at the Sea Tiger wreck down to 115 ft. We were able to see eels, a couple of sea turtles, and plenty of fish and coral. On the 2nd dive along some underwater pipes, we saw an octopus. The waters were calm and the crew was knowledgeable and relaxed. I've done three charters with Dive Oahu since they did my Open Water certification last summer, and always love going out and exploring the ocean with them! read more

Great dive experience! Jason was awesome. We are here for work and then vacation. We were on the boat with some intro divers, but Jason took the certs out in our own group. I appreciated that so much! It was my daughters 4th open water dive, but her other dives were in the Caribbean. First time in a full wetsuit. So when she had issues with her weight, Jason helped her out so much and made her feel comfortable. The crew is so friendly and they spend a lot of time explaining the dives to you so you know what to expect and what to look for. That's nice. Professional and efficient- do have a software glitch somewhere as I was getting emails the day before the dive to submit/sign my waiver. After the third email I quit. CAPT Bob congratulated me on submitting 3 waivers successfully -apparently once is enough. Great gear and set up - pick up at hotel is great as it frees up non-diving family to do their own thing. Again, professional, friendly, competent and a great experience. Two dives - deep to sea tiger and next to deep pipe. Can't beat it - 5 min boat rides to dive sites and great snacks - honey wheat pretzels are like crack. Great start to first full day on Oahu. My husband and I went on a two tank dive with Dive Oahu yesterday. The first dive was at the Sea Tiger ship wreck and second dive was at the Horse Shoe reef. Both dives were fantastic. We saw some sharks, turtles, eels and lots of fish. I just got over an ear infection and informed our dive master, Carolina before we went in the water. She was very patient as I slowly descended into 100 or so feet deep ensuring I was able to equalize. There were only five divers with two dive masters in Anger Management. It was ran very smoothly and we didn't feel rushed unlike other dive outfits, particularly Big Island Divers in Kona (please, if you're diving in Kona, don't go with them) Dive Oahu's Anger Management boat was neat and equipment was well maintained and top-notch. Decided to do some Last minute diving. Called the day before and quickly and easily booked a dive for the next morning. Jay, Lindsey, and Anthony were the crew of "Anger Management", the dive boat. The boat had EVERYTHING you could ask for. A large variety of free snacks and ice cold drinks, a toilet, fresh water buckets for equipment, de-fog spray, and a crew that made it seem like you were with a group of friends, as well as professionals. Kristina was our dive tour leader. She did an excellent job. Her brief was clear and concise, and with her lead and the help of the rest of the crew, we had a super stress free entry and exit. Underwater, Kristina led us on 2 great dives. She pointed out all sorts of neat animals and wrote the names on a little white board. It was all very calm and relaxing, how a good dive should be. All-in-all, this really was a 5 star experience. Perfect boat, perfect crew, and perfect dives. As for the dive sites they took us to: The wreck was incredible. We've done at least 100 dives, and this is definitely somewhere in my top 3 favorite dives. If you can do the wreck dive, do it. The reef near the pipe was decent. Pretty simple coral, but a couple big animals down there. read more

I dove with Dive Ohau the morning of September 24 2019 Went out on Anger Management with Captain Joe, and DM Kristina. We dive on the Sea Tiger than moved over to the reef where the pipe is. I have been diving for over 30 years, and was a dive instructor in the military. I have dived with many all the way down to Rio de Janeiro. And I can say I have never seen any dive shop provide any higher quality boat, and gear than these folks provided. The boat was clean well maintained well organized. Captain Joe provided a good detailed safety briefing with a little humor that makes it fun and interesting and not just the dry safety spill. DM Kristina, provided a safety briefing not in general but for each dive location, she also provided an overview as to what we were going to do prior to getting in to the water at each location. She also set up and check all the gear for everyone for each dive. The dive, Kristina, would get in the water and wait at the anchor line/down line. Captain Joe would assist each diver up and walk them to the edge and help them in the water. Then after all was Okay he would direct them toward Kristina. When everyone was in the water and at the down line Kristina would make sure everyone was ready to go before starting the dive. On the dive Kristina was attentive and not only did she ask each diver if they were OK she even check the gauges her self at least once during each dive. She was good at pointing out the wildlife and on the reef dive she even collected some trash, I believe it was a rubber glove so I was very proud of her for that. All in all I would say the equipment on the dive boat and the boat itself is top notch. The staff Captain Joe the DM Kristina was very professional, very polite, very friendly. I was really stoked to join as a club memeber. The lady who signed me up was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. All the rental gear is top quality. However, the 3/5 is due to the fact every employee seems to have been trained differently. Some know everything, some know nothing..It makes it hard when you are told one thing one time and another thing the next time I go in. Did two shallow dives and loved every minute. I enjoyed the full service to include switching tanks and the engaging DM. The boat trip to the dive spot was less than 10 minutes and CAPT Neal and Jason were plenty of help in making sure all briefs were conducted professionally, equipment was safe, and all divers had a good dive. That's easier said than done when you consider there were 7 passengers that were all at completely different levels of experience. As a guy that is used to hauling dive gear 500 feet to a beach, swimming out 500 ft and then diving after catching my breath, I felt positively pampered. The staff was safety conscious, courteous, and involved at just the right level. I took the time to read some of the comments below and can honestly say I had none of those experiences. read more

Very unfortunate situation we experienced on Wednesday 10/25. We booked for 3 people and was charged a total of 409 bucks. When we booked it, the lady on the phone mentioned we should not book it if we are traveling within 24 hours, however they did not verbally mention anything about health risks when diving. They did state they would send a waiver via email, that we may sign electronically or sign with our instructor. We opted to sign with our instructor, as we did not have email access at the time of booking. We were able to connect to wifi the morning of, and proceeded to open the email. It asked us to sign off that we understood the risks of diving and the instructions, however none of these risks were explained to us so, again, we decided to wait until we met our instructor to learn what risks there are. Peter picked us up and took us to the harbor. He gave us our e-consents and one of our party 3 could not do it due to the health risks. I have a history of asthma and decided to see how I feel once we are actually out by the water. Once we were out in the ocean, I didn't feel comfortable going through with the dive. At this point the staff told me that I can just snorkel and be an observer and be refunded for the dive like our friend that opted out, therefore only one of the 3 actually scuba dived. Once we got back, we were told to call the manager because the staff on the boat stated they already spoke to their manager Shelly and she was aware two would be refunded. We called her and she told us I could NOT be refunded since I went out in the boat. This is total BS because I did NOT Use ANY of their equipment and I did not scuba dive. So they are charging me 150 dollars for a service I DID NOT RECEIVE. what a MAJOR disappointment, this should be illegal. We called back on Thursday because the one that was supposed to be refunded, was only partially refunded and charged as a snorkeler (49 bucks for nothing). The manager stated there is a 320 minimum because we have to pay for the staff that came on the boat. Again, this is garbage because she did not state any of this the day before and we feel very mislead by the staff and the manager. This is all very unfortunate because the staff on the boat was really friendly and cool. Peter, Joe, Mark and the two students Marina and James, made it an enjoyable day, despite not being able to dive. My advice, before booking 150 per person, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you are aware of the health risks, PLEASE make sure once you sign the consent forms you will 100% scuba dive or you will definitely just be throwing 150$ away once your in the middle of the ocean and don't go through with it. read more

My husband and I got our certification with Tiffany as our diver instructor. She is great, my husband would vouch for her for days. She helped me through certain skills I had a terribly hard time with in the pool. I for sure thought I wasn't comfortable continuing with the course but Tiffany talked me through otherwise. By the last pool session I mastered those skills that I wasn't able to do. She was so happy for me as I saw her clap for joy underwater when I achieve each skill. Their flexibility: very willing to add me on the charter last minute on many occasions. They are very open to last minute changes. Their seasoned staff: the boat captains have always been very professional. They respect their job and the ocean and don't mess around. I feel that there should be full length wetsuits offered for thinner guests who need it. I'd recommend bringing along a 1-3 mm wetsuit top to combine with the shorty, though they sometimes will let you double up on shorties. They were early picking me up and had snacks in the van. We got to the harbor, got our gear and loaded up. They had our other gear all loaded up and ready to go. We were the first boat out and took a short boat ride to our first dive. It was a 100ft ship wreck. The dive master gave a great safety briefing that covered our safety stop. The ship wreck was amazing. Then we went to our second dive. We stayed on the surface for more than 20 minutes. They changed our tanks for us and then we headed into the water. The second dive was a reef dive. We saw a turtle, two sharks, eels, and other fish. The captain was great and the dive master was very knowledgeable! I highly recommend dive Oahu and if I come back to HI I will use them again! read more

I've dived with this company 3 years ago last time I was in Oahu and the experience is still good today. They have brand new equipment to use now, the crew was chill and they have good taste in music too. They also helped me out with my dad who is not the best diver. I usually have to keep an eye on him, monitor his air and buoyancy. But I was able to leave him with the instructor while I got to look at the sea tiger wreck and sea critters. If they can keep an eye on my dad that gets a big thumbs up for safety minded from me. read more

I tend to be cautious (and slow) when trying new things, so it was nice that I didn't feel rushed at all by Sam. Really easy to talk to both of them, whether about diving and their experiences, or about their lives outside of it. Saw a lot of ballsy fish (a couple swam right in front of me - others paid me no mind) and even a lil herd of sea turtles! Would def come back next time I'm in Hawaii! Went diving with this shop. Only con I have with this company is SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DON'T GET A PHOTOGRAPHER! I paid $95 for someone to follow around and take pictures on 2 dives (1st was 50 minutes long and 2nd was 40 minutes long). When I got home to look at the pictures there were only 15 pictures (4 of which were of the snack table on the boat) and there were 30ish videos. The longest video was a minute in a half. The rest of the videos were on average 10 seconds of nothing in particular. Other than that one con the rest is all pros. As a certified diver, I had Kathleen as my dive master. She did a great job making sure me and the other person I was paired with were good. She was very knowledgeable about the dive sites and took us to see a lot of the reefs and aquatic life making sure did point things out to us. My brother was doing discover scuba and had Sam as his dive master. He was funny and made it entertaining for my brother. He made sure my brother was familiar and comfortable with doing the skills prior to actually getting in the water. Joe was the boat captain and was very friendly from the moment we came aboard. Prior to undocking he was up and talking with everyone, getting to know you, and during his safety brief about the boat he made it funny to keep it from being dry and boring. If I had more time on my trip or when I come back I'd dive with them again. read more

They've taken us to YO 257 and Sea Tiger wrecks where we've seen rays, eels, octopuses, sharks, and lots of turtles. Equipment is in really good shape, and the staff has been very helpful.
