This was my first time coming to Surf City and I'm really glad I chose this cafe for my lunch spot. The employee at the counter was really helpful in recommending a juice for me. I didn't know if I wanted a juice or a smoothie, so he recommended the popular ones and ultimately suggested I go with the juice. I would definitely come back again! read more

Yes, yes, yes! Who needs Panera when you have this? Great place for breakfast/brunch and working away from home. Lots a great nooks and fantastic views! Small menu but what's served is top notch. Loved the avocado toast! The addition of the lemon added so much freshness and the goat cheese spread....wow. My new favorite avocado toast, hands down. The juice was really tasty, as well! Really loved this spot in Surf City! I was captivated by the views and creative açaí bowls posted by other Yelpers. I'm a sucker for a good aesthetic and Diver delivers. But it's not just for looks... the food is seriously tasty! I simply couldn't decide, so I ordered two things. The natural choice! I wanted to try the avocado toast, so I ordered the bacon version. It also had goat cheese, microgreens and lemon zest! Such a well balanced toast! The bacon and avocados were savory, the goat cheese was rich and tangy, the lemon zest brightened it up, and the microgreens added texture and freshness! The bread was gluten free as well. Excellent presentation! But even better presentation was the pitaya bowl. WOW! The smoothie base had a beautiful bright pink hue, a delicious blend of dragonfruit, strawberry, banana & coconut. It was topped with an abundance of deliciousness! Natural peanut butter, chia seeds, gluten free granola, plus sliced bananas, mangos and kiwis. Top it all off with a beautiful edible orchid bloom. I will say, the bloom did not taste good. Lol. But the smoothie bowl was fantastic! So fresh and filling. I grabbed my coffee from the counter and headed upstairs for my food to be delivered! I initially headed out to the deck, but it was a pretty toasty morning... so I shamelessly snapped some pictures with the beautiful view of the marina in the background and headed inside. Cute modern cafe near Topsail beaches. We went Memorial Day weekend and the inside was packed. I shared an açaí bowl and a breakfast burrito with my better half. The açaí bowl is one of the better versions I've had since relocating to NC from CA. The toppings were plentiful and the fruit on top was fresh too. I ordered their caramel macchiato with oat milk which was so delicious (I honestly wanted to order more of it). The vanilla flavoring used wasn't too strong, but strong enough where it held its ground with the oat milk. The sandwich is ok, could use a wow factor to kick it up a notch. Wanted to come here for a cute romantic date and it's definitely a great place to treat yourself too. Plenty of great seats, all with a scenic view no matter where you sit. They got games and activities for the kids too. Private spaces too if you're bringing family or friends too in the upstairs area. Parking can be a bit of a hassle but worth a visit. read more

Their menu is not huge, but the very friendly staff can create or adapt anything to fit your cravings or dietary needs. I am allergic to bananas, so when they learned that, they were quick to ask questions & make sure nothing was contaminated. As I was perusing the menu, they told me about a new blue smoothie bowl they'd just created but hadn't yet named. It has a pineapple-coconut base, to which they added plenty of blueberries, kiwi, granola, and coconut. It was fantastic. Not a fan. The layout is weird and there's a room in the dining area where a toilet is just way too close to a table for my comfort. There's not that much on the menu. And the items we DID order were nothing to write home about. The drip coffee tasted like it was reheated from last week. This place definitely feels like a house that was converted into a restaurant without any thought about accessibility. The dining spaces are literally broken up into the "bedrooms" of what used to be someone's house. Maybe there's something on the menu that's good but my party and I did not find it the day we went. You guys are by the beach, very close to places that saves sea turtles, that many times are harmed by straws and plastic. One of the things we like to do on a getaway is seek out a local place for breakfast. Well, if you're in the Topsail/Surf City area and like to do the same, this cafe is for you. My breakfast burrito was full of great flavors and portioned just right. My wife's bacon, egg, & cheese sandwich (regretfully they were out of avocado) was perfect. Nice "healthy" options on menu as well but, like I said, we were on vacation. The cafe itself was just as I pictured online. Bright, clean, architecturally simple yet stunning.
