She ended up cutting it much shorter than I asked and cut everything the same exact length all around. Disregarding my request for to having layers. She didnt make the cut fit the shape of my skull or forehead very well either. She spent about 10-15 minutes total which is the shortest time for a haircut ive ever had, and I think its why it did not turn out good.

It was too much trouble to have to drive out to my former hairstylist despite how much I loved her. I'm so glad I found Monik on Yelp! Monik is great at colors, cuts and styling. And while she's great with Asian hair, she's not limited to just that. She's great with everyone's hair, as evidenced by her steady stream of clients every time I visit. My friend who just moved here from the Bay Area also went to Monik and we were all raving about how cute her hair looked. Marissa listens to how you'd like your hair to look (color and/or cut) and offers her professional opinion, if asked. Please ask. You may save yourself a lot of grief...lol. I've had some spur-of-the-moment hair color requests that I wanted Marissa to do. I'm grateful that she offered other options/choices for my hair. Thank you, Marissa. Remember, hair color frames your face, and if it's the wrong color next to your skin (even though you may LOVE it), it can affect the color of clothing you normally wear and your make-up, too.
