My stylist , Ashley, which I have visited twice now does wonderful things to my hair! I am very happy with the results . I recently received a haircut from Caesar and told him I just needed a trim and layered. I was growing my hair out from a chin length cut, my hair finally grew to my shoulders and he cut my hair back to my chin! I wear it curly so I blew it dry and the layers are terrible, I have like a hole or no hair by my chin but a ledge of hair that blends into nothing. I hate my hair, another 6 months of growing I guess. Wish I could get a refund for this terrible cut. read more

I was looking for a salon to get my hair done at, and I live in old Roseville so I thought that I would stop at this place called Lucy's salon and get an estimate to see if it's any cheaper than what I usually pay. Well it came out to a lot cheaper so I decided to make an appointment, plus I was super excited. I have two lavender pic-a-boos one on each side and I also wanted a root touch up, dark brown, to cover up my grays. I think she quoted me like $80. Somewhere around there and I thought it was great because I usually pay around $120 elsewhere. So I think about a week a half later I go in for my appointment and everything is great she's doing my hair and then she asked me if I wanted a haircut. I said no because I just got one not even a week earlier. All said and done I really wasn't paying attention to the total when I swiped my card at the time, MY BAD, But then a couple days later I had saw that I was charged over $100, I think it was around $120. When I called the owner that had done my hair I asked why I was charge so much. The whole reason I made an appointment with because of the price I was quoted. She said because I got a hair cut also, lol. I said no I didn't. She said well I have it written here you did. I said sorry but I didn't want my hair cut because I had just gotten it cut. The whole thing was very odd and extremely unprofessional. After trying to explain to her in so many ways I never got a haircut by her I just said forget it. If you go there be prepared to pay for things that you've never received. Or at least check your bill FIRST to make sure that your paying for what you were quoted. I called Lucy's salon for a quote on a Brazilian blowout. Spoke with the owner, Lou. She was super friendly and was able to get me in for an appointment 1 week later and her pricing was much better than other places I called. Her salon is super cute. Lou, the owner, is the one who actually did the Brazilian blowout on my hair. She did an AMAZING job. It went from taking me 45 minutes to blow dry/straighten my hair to 10 minutes total and it blow dries super straight. I don't even need to use a flat iron. My hair looks super shiny in smooth. Lucy's Salon totally earns the full 5 stars. I could not be more excited to review such a great find! I moved here from southern CA and of course, needed a new hairdresser! I found my girl! Lou is hands down, THE BEST. She is talented, focused, and cares very much about the quality of her work and the products she uses. She heard I was a teacher when I called to get a last minute appointment (I had Open House at my school that week, and was eager to get my hair done!) and she was able to take a late appointment! Parking was easy, it's in cute old town Roseville. The salon is very well decorated, trendy, clean, well stocked with Bumble and Bumble products (which are worth a review of their own). I was greeted promptly, offered a drink, and only waited about two minutes for Lou to hug her previous client good bye. Then, she looked through my pictures from Pinterest and asked me questions about cut, color, time to style, etc. and then she got to work. I was so glad to hear she uses Olaplex for highlighting (it keeps your hair healthier and softer, and it's an 'extra' that other salons are too cheap to use). I received tons of compliments from my new do! It's my first time with short hair, and I love it! The bayalage highlighting that she did by hand compliments the A-line bob perfectly. I used to live up north, but now I moved to so cal I come visit her when I'm in town for my treatments and maintenance. Can't find no one like her and I live in San Diego ! She knows how to smooth and de- frizz my hair and give me a cut that makes me feel like I can manage all the thickness without it looking like a big ball of hair on my head. I just got my hair done here today for the first time after experiencing the worst salon disaster of my life at an old hairdresser I had gone to on and off for years in Elk Grove. I came in with the disaster that was my hair earlier today and was treated to the nicest, most welcoming people and atmosphere when I walked in. Emily was able to see me on very short notice, since I wanted to get the horrible bleach job and streaks out of my hair as quickly as possible, and from the very start she was sympathetic, understanding, and helpful in suggesting ways to fix the problem. I came in with an old ombre that had been re-bleached to high heaven and weird, streaky, uniform highlights that did not even blend in color-wise (nothing like what I asked for from the old hairdresser) and left Lucy's with my dark hair reinstated, with a few lovely, subtle gold highlights to add dimension. The entire time Emily shared her sympathy for what had happened and reassured me she could help, and did an AMAZING job not just covering up the huge mistakes but making me excited to have the color job she had done. She and the other wonderful, nice lady who was there (darn don't remember her name!) were extremely accommodating and kind, offering me and my sister (who had joined me for moral support after the previous day's disaster) water and making sure we were comfortable the whole time, offering us magazines and chatting pleasantly with us throughout the appointment. Also, Emily kindly did her best to keep the price lower than the high we had discussed was a possibility, and I think gave me a complimentary style (a very appreciated gesture after having my old hairdresser ask me to blow dry my hair myself the day before), all of which brightened my day and helped ease my hair trouble anxiety. They even offered the in-salon Bumble and Bumble products they sell for 20% off for being a new customer! Not only were the people there warm, welcoming, and talented in what they do, but the atmosphere of the interior was also lovely to just sit in whilst getting my hair done, with lots of cute, trendy furnishings and natural light flowing in. Thank you Emily, for making the previous day's catastrophe unbelievably better, I love my hair again!!!
