Diversity Moving Company was fantastic start to finish. I tried twice to get a quote from Two guys and a truck and they never followed up. We looked online, found Diversity and filled out the info online and within a couple hours Teare reached out to follow up. She was incredibly responsive and informative throughout the process. The moving team arrived dead in the middle of the 1 hour arrival window and they were great. We had Andre, Ron and Damian as our team and they were very polite throughout the process. They were also incredibly hard working throughout the move and no time was wasted. They took great care of all our items and seemed to be having a great time while they worked as well. They even when out of their way at the end of the job to help us out where the home depot delivery team failed us and get our laundry equipment set up in our laundry room. Home Depot couldn't seem to figure out that the washer had to go in before the dryer so our team from diversity had to pull the dryer out and helped set the washer in the room first then the dryer. Anyway, long story short, we had a great experience start to finish with this group and have already referred them to my parents for an upcoming move. I had a great experience with this group. I needed to hire movers on pretty short notice after my move out date got moved up last minute- Teare got in touch with me right away and helped me find a date and time that worked for me despite the short notice during busy student moving season and my hectic work schedule. I have relatively little experience using movers and she helped walk me through the process making me feel like I wasn't being overcharged or talked into anything I didn't need. Compared to other companies I looked at, they were much more attentive and the prices were more than reasonable. On moving day, my neighbors helpfully ignored my posted parking permits, but again the team came through and were really good at both keeping me calm and helping me strategize about options. The movers themselves were very professional, friendly, and fast! They were careful with my belongings and my landlord's walls even with two flights of narrow steps and made sure to get everything just where I wanted it. They were also great with my dog, who can be less than friendly to people coming into his space. I highly recommend them and definitely plan to use them again for future moves. These guys deserve 10 Stars! I was moving back to Pittsburgh from Nashville on August 1, and needed guys to unload a 17-foot truck and carry the contents up two flights of very steep stairs to a third floor apartment. I found Diversity Moving through U-Haul's MovingHelp.com service where they operate as Big Movers. They had well over 100 very good reviews so I took a chance on them and signed up for two men for two hours. On the morning of my move-in Ron, the company owner, called me to say he'd driven by the building I was moving into and from the look of it from the outside, he thought I was probably going to need three guys to get the job done in two hours. Since MovingHelp.com is a pre-pay service and I'd already paid for the two men he told me not to worry about it, there wouldn't be an extra fee. Ron's guys showed up as scheduled and worked their butts off getting my stuff up those stairs in 90-plus heat and stayed cheerful the whole time. I had a lady friend with me who had volunteered to play doorkeeper for the day. She is no pushover having been the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's Real Estate Director for more than 20-years, but even she commented "What great guys these are." read more

I would recommend Diversity Moving Company to EVERYONE. Prior to moving day they were easy to get in contact with and update the list of the items needing moving. On moving day, they were professional and prompt. They efficiently removed all of our large items from our 2 bedroom apartment including 2 fragile items. Everything was wrapped to be protected. They moved everything into our new house, including a futon up to the third floor up steep narrow stairs, without a hitch. They planned ahead when moving items into the house and saw that they needed to remove a light from the ceiling for things to go into the third floor. They reassembled all of the furniture, even items that we had taken apart for the ease of the move. They ensured that all items were placed how we wanted in the rooms. No damage was done to any items or to the old apartment/new house. We were charged exactly what we were quoted (which was also significantly less than other quotes). Would absolutely use them again if we move and could not give a higher recommendation for a moving company. I reactivated my Yelp account to leave this review because they were so great! read more

They are kind and principled - taking the time to hear my needs, build a quote, and explain exactly what is included. Diversity Moving Company did a great job with a local move in Pittsburgh. Ron, the owner, was able to accommodate our preference of moving dates (Sunday AM) with only a week's notice, and provided a very reasonable bid for the job. Ron and his crew arrived promptly at the appointed time, and efficiently and loaded the truck with our belongs. After arriving at the new home, they carefully and quickly unloaded the truck, taking care to place all items in the appropriate rooms. The crew members were highly energetic (I wish we could bottle that energy and sell it!!) but careful, and completed the entire move in much less time than I thought possible. I had moving arrangements with another Pgh moving for Sat. 9/25. Recvd call 845, 3 of the 4 movers called off. Was told, they would get other movers. By 1030, and no contact from the company, we had to make a last ditch effort to find other movers. My daughter found out about Diversity Movers. What incredible people. 5 stars all around. The crew, 4 men, met my husband at our townhouse in Wexford and loaded the truck to its limits in under 3 hours. They then drove to meet me at the new house in McDonald. They were so kind, courteous, respectful and, willing to help with special requests I had for certain items to have certain places. I overestimated how big a room was and the guys were more than willing to retake a bed apart and move it to a different room where it would fit. I was very happy with my movers! Jason, Tim, Malachy & James did an excellent job, they worked hard and were very efficient. They were also fun to spend time with. Only small minus was that I didn't get a heads up from the office/dispatch when they were on their way, and when I called dispatch myself they couldn't tell me when exactly my movers would show up. I think industry standard is that you get a call when they are about to leave; in this case, the guys just called me when they were outside of my house. read more

This was the best and easiest moving experience I ever had. They provided text alerts throughout the entire process and the movers called to let me know when they were 30 minutes from arriving. The paperwork was all digital which made tipping and signing all the documents easy. The movers themselves were polite, safe, extremely detail oriented and made the move fun and stress free.
