Merari was incredibly patient as I looked at (and then re-looked at) several styles. The piercing fee is typically $50, but since I mentioned it was a birthday gift to myself, they kindly waived it. Plus, I got 10% off as a first-time customer, WOOT! This gal loves a bargain, and let's be real, this is NOT a bargain kind of place (in the best way possible). I ended up choosing a dainty little diamond crawler-style piece that I absolutely love. Since they weren't busy, I only waited about 30 minutes for the ever-so-gentle Ivy to work her magic. The whole experience was smooth and super welcoming, I can totally see how these high-end piercing boutiques become addictive. Do I need a 4th one, maybe... My only wish? The front staff was super helpful in all my questions. I knew in my gut I have to make these decisions as, "I'm ready - get it done, so I don't talk myself out of it." Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience at all. The artist who worked on me seemed inexperienced, and the process didn't match what I was told. What should have taken around 30 minutes was discussed as taking several hours, which already felt off. In the end, I was charged $200 for a cover-up that I'm extremely unhappy with--especially since it's on my face. To make matters worse, the artist didn't follow through on what was promised. He said he would work on two tattoos but only did one, and even then, it wasn't what I asked for. I specifically wanted a design resembling stitches, but instead I was left with a large black feather on my head that I deeply regret. The environment also felt unprofessional. The staff came across as dismissive and made me feel judged for the tattoo ideas I wanted, which added to an already negative experience. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and unhappy with both the service and the final result. I would not recommend this shop. Are there any tattoo shops in the area willing to help fix a bad face tattoo once it heals? I'm worried it might scar, and I'm trying to figure out my options. The artist I worked with--whose name may be Ivan or Isaac--came across as confident, but in my opinion did not demonstrate the level of knowledge or experience I expected. For example, when I asked about certain techniques like blood shading, he didn't seem to understand what I was referring to. That raised concerns for me about his training and experience. Again, this does not reflect everyone at the shop, but based on my experience, I would personally not recommend working with that particular artist.

I went to lilygrace to get my 4 month olds ears pierced. I was a bit nervous in general for this…read moreprocess but knew I wanted them done while she was very young so she was less likely to mess with them during the healing process. I found lilygrace on yelp and read a lot of great reviews. So I decided to make an appointment online which was very easy. I was able to schedule for same day service. I opted for the piercing without the numbing cream as I read it doesn't really work as it just numbs the outside of the ear, and the inside is what gives the sharp feeling while getting pierced. The lady we got was named Cira (I think!) and she was EXCEPTIONAL! You could tell she's been doing this, with young babies, for a good amount of time. She was very precise in marking my babies ears and had me double check that I was happy with the placement. She explained that babies ears continue to grow down and out so the marks would be a little closer to the head. She explained everything step by step and was so very calming throughout the entire appointment. My baby did so good and I'm so happy with the result! They provided the ear cleaning solution and clear instructions for aftercare which was so appreciated! No need to go seek out cleaner for babies! The only thing I would say wasn't great was the prices of the earrings themselves. It was a bit of a shock when I saw the price tags but at the same time they are quality and look great! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!

My piercer was great, very friendly and informative. I don't want to assume the tattoo artist's work is always like this, hence why I'm leaving out their name....but It's blown out and the whole process felt rushed...and not welcoming. I let it heal and trusted, but it didn't get better. There's clear grey bleeding out and the front desk denied seeing any. I tried contacting the owner in private before leaving a public review. When I stopped in the front desk demeanor switched immediately after my unease was brought up. They were dismissive to any and everything I said, saying "yeah, yall can talk about that. I don't know, you two can talk about that. I don't know when they'll be in." They took my number seemingly to just appease me, but I never received a call. Which isn't surprising. Can't speak for all the artists here, I've seen some great work! However, I absolutely would not recommend this shop based on how they handle criticism.
