I don't know where to start with when it comes to Dr. V and her staff! There's an air in the office when you walk in, you feel not like another patient, you are greeted as though you're part of the Divine Dental FAMILY! The care and concern they provide for patients is stellar, something not found at other practices we've been to. As a first time patient I came praying Dr. V would send me out of the office door with a restored smile. She did indeed do that! Moreover she cared for me as a patient like she understood how an accident had dampened my interactions and stopped me from smiling. My family and I have been going here for 16 years. My last appointment before this was the worst experience I've ever had at a dentist. The hygienist was so rude and condescending. I find them to usually be overdramatic when it comes to telling me I have cavities. They rudely insinuate that I am not brushing my teeth and berate me like a child. I informed them of this before booking again and Nicole in the front Dr V and my hygienist all apologized for my previous experience and they let me know that last hygienist no longer works with them. I scheduled a cleaning and Nicole said since it has been a while I will also need x rays. Okay no big deal you do x rays every time. She quoted me $238 when I asked for the price of cleaning and exam. I come to my appointment and the hygienist is nice this time but we spend an hour doing x rays and she says we don't have time for a cleaning and I will need to come back. Upon checkout I am charged the $238. For an x ray?! Nicole said "yes that is the price I quoted you" yes for a cleaning ... now I am out almost $300 and my teeth haven't been cleaned. It was not directly expressed to me I would not be getting a cleaning this appointment. Why would this not be prioritized to book all together? Who has the time to come back so many times? She then prints out my "treatment plan" in which they expect me to come back and pay $400 for a cleaning. Mind you the hygienist said my teeth and gums look better and I will not need a deep cleaning this time. After they expect me to pay $400 for a cleaning on top the $300 x ray I'm supposed to come back 2 weeks after that for an "exam to evaluate my at home care" that will be $75 which I imagine is just me coming in to open my mouth and then leave. They claim I also need 2 cavities filled and that will be $600. $1300?? I managed to find another office that will do an exam and cleaning same day for $69. What a concept! They inform me that my gums look great. Divine said my gums were 4 out of 5 on the recession scale and this new office told me they were a 2 out of 5 and I have 0 cavities. In fact I actually need one of divines fillings fixed because it takes up 4/5ths of my tooth with overhang. So thanks divine dental you have lost 3 patients of over 16years with your greedy practices. read more

To get the positives out of the way: the place is beautifully decorated, has modern equipment, a nice beverage selection, and charismatic people working there. That being said, I just completed treatment at another dentist where I had my wisdom teeth removed 7 years ago. I was suspicious of Divine Dental's recommended treatment regimen. Generally due to the out of pocket cost for the recommended scaling being north of $500 despite my amazing insurance. But more specifically regarding $375 of different line item charges, which my insurer informed me didn't even have recognized dental codes attached. The office manager of Divine assured me that they were in fact valid codes for lasering. What she did not bother to tell me is that lasering is only to promote healing, generally used only by people who complain of pain after scaling. I had to learn this from my other dentist My other dentist's evaluation was thorough, but vastly different from Divine Dental. Both the hygienist and dentist said my teeth were excellent except for minor calculus that was removed with a standard cleaning, at no out of pocket cost. While they agreed some areas of gum recession were indeed at a 4, they did not recommend scaling even though it had already been preauthorized by my insurer. They most certainly did not recommend paying $375 for unnecessary lasering to follow up the scaling that I didn't need either. Also none of their complimentary services were actually provided to me except beverage. The paraffin was not warm when I arrived, so I was told. I was also told that someone would bring a service menu which they didn't. No facial, no warm towel, I guess 'massage chair' is a descriptive term for any chair that lays back, no DVD offered except for a marketing video from a certain invisible brace company. Don't be fooled by the facade and veneer. They may be skilled at what they do, but make sure they do what you actually need. read more

We had our first visit today and we are already happy and impressed. I was anxious and nervous, this was our first dentist appointment after moving to AZ in October 2018. We did a lot of research looking for a dentist because we went to the same dentist in Orange, CA for 30+ years. The clinic is very clean and looks classy. The front office staff are helpful, friendly and accommodating. Dr. Villanueva took the time to explain everything - what's good about my dental health, and what's not good and needs treatment. I like that she didn't rush through the evaluation. I also didn't feel pressured. I don't have dental insurance so cost is a concern. I'm happy to report that her fees are reasonable and affordable. Kudos to her hygienist, dental assistant, and billing specialist - they all are very professional and also explained everything. We're pleased to have met her husband who is super nice. We feel comfortable and at ease in their clinic. I have recommended them on my Facebook Filipino groups today. read more

Told us routine dental services would be covered by insurance and after completing the services found out our insurance didn't cover it. don't have any dental work done at this office unless you have talked with your insurance first and verified that it's covered. read more

When it was time to select a new dental office for the family we visited and previewed several. After our first visit to Divine Dental Care we knew this was the perfect fit for us - husband, wife and two teenaged kids. The office is quiet, relaxing, soothing, the front desk staff are welcoming, and their scheduling if very flexible. The dentist and staff are friendly, knowledgeable, patient and professional. It took much convincing from my better half to switch dentists after going to the same dentist in Mesa for over 20 years . . . but she was right . . . I did need to find one closer to home. So I finally gave in and try her detal clinic, and I have fallen in love with this place. The staff is friendly and very accomodating, from the hygenists, to the front desk. But that is not what made this place great, it was the extras. The massaging dental chairs, the compimentary hand waxing, the free bite wings, and it seem to go on and on. With all this happening . . . the 45 minute appointment went by before I knew it . . . now I have to wait six months before I get to do it again. Divine Dental Care is truly divine when it comes to atmosphere and patient care. I have been going to Dr. V for my dental needs for more than 5 years now. When visiting the office the experience is more like walking into a spa. The decor is beautiful and calming. The staff is very pleasant, friendly and welcoming. I got my Invisalign treatment a few years ago, the office did a great job at scheduling appointments and the overall treatment. I was very satisfied with results and even got a whitening treatment. Dr. V is the best dentist that I have ever had care for my pearly whites. She is honest, upfront and personable at the same time. If you want to pay a lot of money for unnecessary treatments, go to Divine Dental. If you enjoy feeling like you are in a used car lot with a full-pressure salesman in your face, go to Divine Dental. I made a new patient appt with Divine after losing my dentist of 15 years. I've always had my teeth cleaned twice a year, and never have been told I had periodontal disease. Imagine my shock when the hygienist told me I needed a deep cleaning followed by a 2 week treatment of medicine mouth wash. It did not make sense. Their chart on the wall did not even line up with what she was telling me. I kindly declined the treatment saying, " I was not convinced I needed the extensive treatment." My entire appointment took 1 1/2 hours and they don't even clean your teeth on the first visit! They hammered me with an Invisilign movie, followed by more conversation about it from the tech, hygienist and doctor! When I went to leave, they put me in a room where Mindy, the office manager, gave me my "treatment plan." $200 for deep cleaning. I again kindly declined. She then told me their assessment was "in the best interest of my dental health," and that they would NOT clean my teeth unless I did the deep cleaning. I decided to get a second opinion. After seeing another, more reputable dentist in Queen Creek, guess what? I DON'T HAVE PERIODONTAL DISEASE! Divine Dental is very nice. They have a lovely office with a very friendly staff. All this while they take you to the bank. There should be a way to report them for thefts like. this. Divine, don't tell me it was your diagnosis and that it was a valid one. You just lost a family of 5 to your practice for your false, misleading treatment plans. read more

I went there about 4 years ago because it had been awhile since I had a cleaning. I had a coupon for a free cleaning so I thought it would make sense. The female dentist there, can't remember her name, left a really bad impression on me. First she told me I had four cavities, but that was only after I had informed her I had not been to the dentist in a while. I had no prior pain in any of my teeth. It is been 4 years since then I have not had any pain in any of the socalled cavities she found. Just went to another dentist and he informed me I have no cavities. Beware of this place. They will flat out lie to you to try and get your money. That way they can afford the fancy flat screen TVs and interior decorating they have. Criminals as far as I'm concerned. If I did the same type of thing in my business, I would be in trouble. read more

From the initial phone inquiry to a deep cleaning and two crown repairs, Dr. Villanueva was impeccable: she is incredibly kind, caring and compassionate! Look I've read a few negative responses, most complaining about price. People need to understand you get what you pay for. I want to feel important and to be treated like royalty, well guess what everyone this is the place. So yes price may be a little more expensive and it's worth every penny. Now if I want the pay bare minimum then yes I would go to a low income dentist and get the treatment. But I don't want to be a number and part of an assembly line. Divine dental have extraordinary staff and will remember your name on your second visit and will even recognize your voice on the phone. So remember everyone it's really your preference and how you want to be treated. This goes for every company out there, I will pay a higher price for outstanding customer service ! Decided to give this dentist a try last week because my old dentist is about 20 miles from my current home. The staff and dentist were very nice, the office was also relaxing. However at the end of my visit I was presented with a $1500 plan for "needed" work that was not covered by my insurance. This was for a deep cleaning that I had done previously at my old dentist and was charged $75 out of pocket for the service (2 years ago). I felt like I was at a used car dealership, they were pushing me to begin treatments that day. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I decided to return to my old dentist, where much to my surprise, found out that I required no additional deep cleanings and have no cavities. Also, this dentist will email and text blast you constantly the minute you leave the office. I regret going and giving them any of my personal information. read more

Honestly, please save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. It truly is a bummer, because everyone at Divine Dental is SO nice. But, I have never had so many problems with getting routine cavity fillings. I had to go back 3 times for her to "fix" the mistakes, and I am still not happy. But, I refuse to go back. Just for example, the spaces between my teeth where she filled cavities are way bigger than they used to be. Food gets stuck in there, and it is just gross. I went to have her fix it, she said she tried. It's better, but not what I expected. I have gone to many dentists in the past and have never experienced problems like this. I will DEFINITELY not be going back. And I am just trying to save other people from the same problems. read more

DENTIST OFFICE OR SPA?? I love this place and have referred many friends and family. I would not refer them if I didn't love it myself. Every member of the staff have made me feel welcome and comfortable. Have never had any problems in the three years I have been going to Divine Dental for my dental needs. I have since moved 25 miles from the clinic, but I refuse to change dentists. I am always asked if I want the massage chair on or if I would like a hand massage, etc. My dental hygienist, Kerrie, is absolutely wonderful and a great conversationalist. Dr. Michelle Villanueva is very personable and has done a fabulous job with my dental plan. I cannot say enough great things about everyone at this clinic. Michelle, Kerrie, Mindi, Kayla, Alexis, Elisha, and Jessica, I love you all. I am sorry if I missed anyone, but you are all wonderful. I still wonder if I am walking into a dental clinic or a spa. Here's an idea...why don't you focus on good dentistry and customer service instead of massages, hand soaks and other stuff that doesn't matter. All they want to do is upsell you on dentistry you don't need. We switched to this dentist after years only due to our move to the far East valley. First appointment instead of cleaning my son's teeth and addressing his pain in his molar, they tried to sell us a $400 gingivitis treatment. We refused, they refused to treat him. Went back to our previous dentist and he was floored. The kicker? They charged my insurance $300 for the "in depth" exam (that took all of 2 minutes) and came after us for an additional $100. Never again! Stick with a dentist who is actually interested in caring for your teeth. Already made a formal complaint with the board of dentistry, this dentist is totally taking advantage of people. read more
