I wanted to update this and add that back in April we invited Fil out to give us a quote on a new wood fence and automatic gate for the front yard. From start to finish he did an amazing job. The fence constantly gets compliments and knowing that Fil had the best combination of great price and quality materials. We had a few other companies come out and they either had over-the-top quotes or tried to sell us on cheap low-quality materials. I would highly recommend Fil and he's so easy to work with! I do not recommend this company. I hired Fil to replace the landscaping at my house in July-August, 2020. His crew was great and they did a good job. A couple months after they finished many of the plants died. I sent photos and asked Fil to replace them. He told me we needed to wait until it was warm again. I contacted him in May, when he said he would replace the dead plants. Nothing happened in June even though I contacted him again. Nothing happen in July, so I contacted him again in August and asked for a refund so that I could just buy the plants and replace them myself. On August 13 he said he needed a week and then he would send me the refund. It is now September 14 and I still have dead plants (more have died in the meantime), no refund and not a word from Fill. After I posted this review Fil contacted me and did follow through on providing a refund. As I mentioned above, his crew is professional. read more

Referred a neighbor over to Fil today and than I realized I never updated my review. In short, our landscaping looks amazing!! Fil was super professional , patient and had very competitive pricing. I would highly recommend him if you're thinking of doing any sort of landscaping for your property. We had a new construction , so literally Fil and I walked the dirt , and used the architectural plans as guides on what should go where but Fil was instrumental in helping me pick out the specific plants that would meet city codes/restrictions. We did something very serene for the area outside the guest bedrooms that had large French doors and even though my husband was against turf at first he was very happy with the outcome. He was very receptive and accommodating, while making a few design suggestions based on his expertise and experience. This review is specifically for landscaping and tree-trimming. I know that one or two extremely rude and horrible workers shouldn't be representing the company as a whole, but whoever is in charge of managing their employees should set a standard for everyone's work ethics. Basically while trimming the trees around my property, the tree branch struck my window and left scratches on the property. I yell (because of the sound of the chainsaw?) at the workers to be careful and they just speak and curse to me in Spanish. I am 100% okay with people not being able to communicate in English, but when you point at me and say the word PUTA after damaging my property? That's disgusting and immoral. Rude, racist, discriminatory, horrible work ethics. Thankfully, a English speaking worker communicated to BE CAREFUL WHEN CUTTING AND THROWING and literally fixed the worker's habit of CARELESSLY TOSSING HUGE BRANCHES. This was the second time the trimmed and tossed tree branches striking the window which makes no sense when they can drop it vertically 90 degrees to the ground. read more

Last year I bought a fixer upper house with no landscaping and a yard overgrown with trees, I spent 6 months going through quotes to landscape the front yard and clean out all the trees/weeds in the backyard. I was about to go with my neighbor's unlicensed gardener who my neighbor swears by and then... Then one day I received an advertisement for Green Touch on my door step. I rarely consider these advertisements that starts collecting at my door. But after checking their awesome yelp reviews, their portfolio on the website and knowing they were licensed, I gave Green Touch a call. I thought to myself, one more quote won't hurt. Fil the owner came out to give me a quote on the following: removal of 17 trees, prune 3 trees, stump grinding, weed removal, grading, sprinklers, sod, flower beds with borders, flagstone pathway and uplighting. Yup, I needed someone who was willing to give me quote on all this and more. Guess what, I choose to work with Fil for many reasons. Fil price was competitive, he was licensed, had liability insurance for his workers, he was detailed in his quote, gave me a computer design of the yard, responds quickly to emails, texts and phone calls, and I respect his professionalism. What was more surprising, was the job started on time and ended on time. I don't expect contractors to stay on a timeline, but Fil did and I can't complain. Additionally, Fil met with my husband and I before work, at lunch and after work to ask us for feedback before moving forward. I 'm always nervous when my husband deals with contractors because his perfection mode can be overwhelming for anyone. My husband is OCD and he loved Fil for being just as OCD as he is. The end product, is the front yard I always wanted and a backyard cleaned up from all the fruit and overgrown trees. Even my neighbor hired him to clean up his trees in his backyard. The next project is grading the back yard, sprinklers and new sod. And yes, we will hire Fil again. read more

Final Update: Fil's crew came out a total of 4 times and really worked up a storm. They took my dilapidated front yard and turned it into a beautifully hardscaped work of art. I am totally impressed with the speed, quality and professionalism of the work. I will not hesitate to recommend Green Touch to anyone who needs landscaping work done! Great work, Fil and the Green Touch crew, you have earned a fan for life!! Update 2: Fil came out and did a very thorough walk around of my yard. He worked with us to create a plan to transform my current mess of weeds and dirt into a drought friendly landscape. His estimate is in line with others I have received and I contracted him to perform the work. Once the work is done, I will give my final update and post pictures of the before and after. Update: I received an email as well as the comment below from Fil. I understand being busy as I own my own small business and I am willing to give them another shot. I will update again once an appointment has been made and fulfilled. I contacted Green Touch about getting a quote to have some work done, according to their website the quote is free. However I was told that it would be $75. When I asked why their website says free, he said its free if the clients have a good idea of what they want. I said I did have a good idea of what I wanted but I have yet to hear back from them. Here is the email transcript: Initial email from Green Touch following the quote request: Hello and thank you for contacting us. We have our plant consultant/designer to meet with you for an hour for $75 She will help with plant recommendations and such. She can meet this Friday or Saturday. Let me know if that works. Thanks My Reply: Hi, I'm interested in making an appointment, but according to your website the consultation and quote is free. Is this not the case? Hi Reply: Probably need to update website. Quotes are free for landscape install when the clients already have a pretty good idead of what they want. I usually meet with the clients as a contractor and we brainstorm to come up with some plant ideas but it takes a lot of effort and time. Some clients prefer to meet with somebody who is more trained in plant material. Please let me know. My Final Email (as yet unanswered): Ok, we do have a decent idea of what we want, we just dont have the time or knowledge to get it done. Mario and his team were quick and efficient. They took our our 20 year old drip system and replaced the front and back with all new drip. They add drip to new plants that propagated on their own (those we wanted to keep) and cleaned up as if they were never there. The price was very reasonable, and the quality was top-notch. I've used this service several times. Most recently I dealt solely with Sabino for irrigation installation, tree trimming, and bush hedging. He completed everything on time except the hedging of a bush. After I already paid and pointed out to him that one of the bushes wasn't hedged to my liking he followed through on his promise and sent workers out the next week to finish the job. I searched for about a month before finding Fil and his team. I hope you find this before you waste any time shopping around, hire Green Touch! They just finished our work today and I can't believe that this is our yard. They did a complete demo including removing trees, rose bushes, and more weeds and plants than I could count. Then, they updated our sprinkler system and installed new plants, mulch, and sod. EVERYTHING was done in three days, unbelievable. And, even better, it looks better than I could have every imagined. And, it was very cost effective! Fil is incredibly professional and was quick to communicate. He's also extremely knowledgeable about plants: what they are, and how much care they need, etc. He also has a fantastic eye for design, I sent him a few photos of what I liked and he knew exactly how to implement it (though I don't even think he needed the photos). His team were all extremely respectful, professional and boy do they work hard. They went so far above and beyond, even cutting down hedges and repairing a rose bush that weren't included at all in our proposal. If you're looking to hire someone to design your landscape, do landscaping work, or do any work on trees, these guys are your guys. I scheduled a meeting with Fil from Green Touch for an estimate on a landscape renovation project for both a rental property and my personal residence. He never showed up or answered my text. Finally after a second text he apologized for not responding and we scheduled a second appointment. After discussing what I wanted done I told Fil that I wanted to use his company. The rental was scheduled to be done in mid July and the residence in October. I asked for a summary of the work to be done and the cost both of which I never received. I followed up with another text and again received no response. In the third text I asked why he went to the trouble to spend a couple hours with me discussing the scope of the work and then never answered my contacts. In the final text I told him that if he didn't want the job the ethical thing to do would have been to discuss it with me. The obvious conclusion I came to was that he had enough work scheduled that my job was not attractive enough -- all of which could have been stated up front. Based on my experiences with people in the trades, if they can't keep an appointment to give an estimate, then good luck dealing with problems down the road. If you are considering hiring a landscape contractor, my advice would be to read all the Yelp reviews and not just the first ones that pop up. The negative reviews are often hidden in the back especially if the contractor advertises on Yelp. Green Touch is a company that I would never recommend. I did not find Fil to be trustworthy, and I discredit everything that he told me. read more

My yard had become a mess of weeds, uneven dirt, & plants I put in without much research that didn't work well. I met with 5 different vendors. 1 never provided a bid and a few could do part of the job but not all of the job or needed me to have a very concrete plan of what I wanted. I am very happy I met with Fil at Green Touch, he was able to help put my rough ideas into a solid plan. One of the reasons I selected Green Touch was that they could do the pavers & firepit as well as grass, irrigation & plants. Green Touch Tree Care is great. Fil is wonderful to work with. He was very passionate about the landscaping surrounding my home. I have used his services for tree trimming, tree removal, backyard design, planting and sprinkler repair. Fil was able to design a sprinkler configuration that would allow the flowers in my walkway flourish. He did it on the 1st try, unlike The Sprinkler Repair Guy who after at least 5 times did not ever get it correct. In fact I have so much trust in Fil that I recommended him to my Grandmother. She hired him to remove a giant palm tree from her backyard and as expected Fil and his crew did a wonderful job. Nothing but great things to say about Fil and Green Touch. We used them to remove an ugly vine that was home to rodents, remove a couple of trees from our yard, install a multi-trunk Birch tree (which we subsequently had him replant), patch a portion of our back lawn with St Augustine and install a sprinkler system in front and back yards. Everything he and crew undertook was completed to order, and was as promised. They did a fantastic job on all the work. I tried to re-program the timer for the sprinkler system, and it goofed up the back sprinklers. I called him, and he personally came out this morning and reviewed the situation, made the appropriate adjustments, fixed the problem (I had jostled a wire loose) and thanked me once more for allowing him to provide his service. I don't expect that level of service (owner coming out on a Sunday morning), but I was sure impressed. No charge for the house call! We collected multiple bids for major hardscaping and landscaping work for our backyard and side pathway. Fil was quite responsive and knowledgeable as you would hope someone to be in this field. He provided us with a competitive estimate and timeline like a couple other people had, but it was his communication with us that really drove our decision. We love to be involved throughout all our projects, and with as many questions as we had, Fil seemed to process quickly and efficiently provide options and solutions. Our final product was really great. When the promised finish time was delayed due to unforseen inventory problems, he worked with us to provide a solution that we were even more happy with than the original design. I had reached out to Green Touch for service. Asked for a quote for some landscaping. The rep came out and gave me a price. A very high price. We ended the conversation with him saying, i'll check availability and reach out to you when we can get the job done. I said " ok, let me know." If I had received a 2nd quote at the same price I had the intentions of going with green touch. I had requested a quote from another landscaper. The 2nd quote was half the price. The next morning I was informed as I was away from home that they were at the location doing the job. I had never scheduled service. Only requested a quote and I was supposed to get a follow up from the rep. And they just decided to show up and start the job without notification and without me being present. Very unprofessional. I am a real estate investor and have used Fil a few times now on various properties to trim/remove trees and tree limbs, trim shrubs and fruit trees, and do general gardening. Some are basic jobs and some are quite large, tricky jobs where he has to carefully remove and trim trees in hard to reach spots. He and his crew do a great job every time (which is why I keep using him!) Super honest and fair pricing and completes the job in the time frame he says. He is really knowledgeable too and will explain anything about trees if you want to know. We've used Green Touch for landscaping in both our front and back yards. Fil worked with us to fit everything into our budget at the time, so we had the back completed first and the front completed second. The unique design they helped develop for the front was perfect to match the narrow attributes of our driveway so that I don't accidently back up over a sprinkler. Fil even came back to ensure that the lawn was being watered evenly, and replaced a patch that had dried out when adjusting the sprinkler flow. We still have Fil's crew come to the house a couple of times of year to knock back our hibiscus, and they always get the job done quickly and professionally. Fil came as scheduled and gave me a quote to remove some monster trees from the back yard that were overhanging two neighbors properties, lifting their slabs and breaking block walls. They were also lifting the slab of my garage. Fil's crew was scheduled for 7:30 a.m. but showed up at 7:00 a.m. so they were all suited up and ready to start work at 7:30. a.m.. Those gentlemen worked like a well-oiled machine with no loud music, no personal chatter, no interjections of the 'F' word and no disasters to anyone's property (We won't talk about the angry racoon sleeping in one tree). All in all, they were absolutely professional, efficient and a pleasure to have around. They did the job and left all the properties involved spotless.
