Bobby at Greener Gardens is the real deal. He is your one-stop answer to all of your landscaping needs. He had been doing some work for a neighbor of mine, and I asked him for a quote. I had a patio area and front corner area that were both so bad looking that it was embarrassing. I knew I wanted to have a complete make-over (with more of a tropical vibe) but needed design guidance. I didn't want to just throw a mish mash of plants together. I wanted a thought-out design that provided "the look" that I was going for, while being mindful of plant selection and placement where they would thrive. Bobby provided everything that I was looking for. He has both the plant knowledge and the design skills. Bobby and his team would arrive every morning on time, ready to go to work no later than 8:00am. They were able to expertly handle everything that I needed (hardscape, landscape, lighting, irrigation). The flagstone on my patio was expanded, giving me more room than I had previously for furniture. Professional lighting was added. An all-new irrigation system was installed with drip line sprinklers. Blocked drainage from the patio area to the street was cleared, and new drainpipes installed. They also upgraded my existing water fountain with a new pump and cleaned up the fountain for me. Bobby has a really great team of workers. The same guys stayed on my project throughout, providing nice consistency. A big "thank you" goes to Lalo, Javier, and Benny. I also appreciated that once they started my project, there were no gaps. Bobby and his team may have been working other projects too, but if they were it was invisible to me. They started my project, and I felt that my project was their top priority through to completion. I also appreciated that even at the end with everything finished, that Bobby still came back around just to make sure that everything was still working as it should and all dialed in. I also want to make note that communication with Bobby was excellent throughout. I would text him a question and have an answer back within 2 minutes. I've dealt with several landscaping companies now, and have shelled out plenty of money, so I'd say I'm qualified to review their work now. With that, Bobby and Greener Gardens are far and away the best I've worked with yet! He was able to squeeze me in super fast (3 days from first call) so I could surprise my wife while she was out of town. He got the work done quickly, neatly (didn't leave a mess or any junk behind), and for a very reasonable price. The old saying of "you get what you pay for" is so true, But Bobby is able to give you that top notch service at mid-level prices. You just can't beat that. The part that impressed me the most is the customer service. Obviously having the job done exactly perfect is the goal, and Bobby cane very close. There was a miscommunication, partially my fault) that lead to a very minor issue with the end result. I pointed it out, and was actually willing to live with it. However, as soon as I said something, Bobby himself started trying to work on it, no gloves, with his clipboard in hand and everything! When he realized it was a little more involved that that, he said he'd be back the next day to take care of it. This was all after he was paid. In my experience, once contractors get their money, good luck getting ANY follow up. But not Bobby. He's a true business man who understands the need to have a job done right. We redid our backyard last month and was looking for a reputable company that could do everything in a specific time frame we had in mind. We met with bobby and his enthusiasm and creativity was great.....just what we wanted. I used greener gardens to do some concrete cutouts and planting a couple of trees and have no complaints. To start off I had the hardest time getting quotes on a small job like this and Bobby was one of the few people that actually came out to give me a quote. Most contractors didn't want to bother or gave me a super high quote. Bobby got there on time for the quote, got there on time for the work and cleaned up after. I was able to leave them in the backyard to work and went to work myself. They called me 30 minutes before finishing and I came back to check it out. If only everything was this straightforward. And the guy actually uses email unlike 99% of the contractors out there. I hate leaving voicemails bc they always mysteriously don't reach the person but Bobby emailed me back and forth and was clear about everything. I'd highly recommend using his services. read more

Last Tuesday, a sales representative from Greener Gardens named Bobby Morel stopped by as I requested an appointment to possibly landscape our backyard. From the start, I felt uneasy with Bobby because he seemed to be in a hurry. He seemed disinterested in what I had to say, and was even more aloof when I mentioned that I am trying to minimize cost as much as possible. He seemed somewhat unorthodox in terms of his methods of gauging prices. He didn't write any figures or numbers down. In addition, he was estimating distance with his eyes, not with his feet or with a measuring tape. I'm sure he has amazing depth perception, but some concrete numbers would have been nice. I was also hoping to see some pictures of Greener Gardens work so I could get a better sense of what styles and look would work with our space, but he referred me to the website. On the back of his business card, he wrote greenergardens.com. However, it turns out that the website is actually greenergardendesigns.com. How can a representative of the company not know their company website? Anyway, he promised me a quote within a day or two. It's been five days now, and no quote. Why am I not surprised? He probably saw that the project was small in terms of costs, so he just gave me the run around. Oh well, I'll find someone who actually exhibits a bit more integrity. read more

***BE FOREWARNED! The organization has contacted me directly to insult me, using expletives to respond to my review despite my request for them to cease contact. (See uploaded screenshot photo). In case this is not warning enough -- I now have a public forum of witnesses and motive if I end up dead in a ditch. Like another YELPER below -- I've desperately refrained from writing this review, because Bobby is not a bad person, but this organization should not be in business in the field of landscaping. The time and money I have spent to correct his work in my yard has become too much for me to handle, and now I must help others avoid the same issues and costs I have suffered having hired this company. Net-net: I paid over $5500 and took over 4 months to complete. He continually committed to coming out on certain dates to repair, and would often had a reason why he was delayed (see other reviews). See my photos where he: 1) Left my yard as you see FOR MONTHS before coming back to re-install the sod which died because of incorrect irrigation settings as well as not adequately prepping the soil 2) Every gardener subsequent has stated they had to adjust or replace nearly every sprinkler head that was installed, citing how cheap and incorrect they were - which is why they did not cover the lawn 3) Installed the cheapest most dated pathway and garden lights available, most of them became foggy and broke within a few months 4) The "electrical work" is comprised of extension cords running on the ground completely exposed from the yard to outlets. He made some attempts to compensate for the above, but never offered a refund of any sort. (He had to completely replace the sod at his expense, which I had forewarned him was dying from Day 1 - and since he was delayed to come back out despite my numerous requests to do so, by then it was completely dead). After the $5500 I paid, I have had to endure: Months of being the embarrassment of the neighborhood, hiring an electrician to redo the lighting, a gardener who has corrected all of the irrigation, and replacement of most of the foliage that was purchased - which is either dead or planted incorrectly for design purposes. You will see on other reviews that he has the same habits of delay with other parties, pushing them out time and again - I missed many events and holidays for months because my yard was a disaster (not to mention a danger as well, as when he left the dead sod in piles in my yard for months, wasps began to congregate). This is not an appropriate way of doing business, and I write this forewarn others before they suffer the stress and now all the costs I have had to incur to fix the work that was completed by "Greener Gardens". read more

We had our front yard redone with drought tolerant plants about a year ago, and while much of the work was good, there were several problems. Greener Gardens to the rescue. Bobby's crew quoted a price that seemed very reasonable and they arrived promptly. They dug out several plants that had withered, including a King Palm that had never been very healthy. The replacement is beautiful and the other plants that they put in look like they are in great shape. They did some work, trimming and weeding, that was not part of the original quote, much to our pleasure. They cleaned up spic and span, checked the drip irrigation, gave advice about watering and fertilizing, and assured us that they will replace anything that goes bad withing a couple of months. My wife told me that they didn't take a break except for a short lunch, so they definitely earned their fees. read more

Here is an update. Unfortunately, a year later my rating went from a solid 5 to a 1. A year after Greened Gardens did my landscape for me, one of my sprinkler values started to leak. After several calls and a couple of weeks of excuses, I had to finally buy a new value and fix it myself. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in Bobby's custom service after he finished the job.
