Service was good. Ambience here is they have a bar and a high table and chairs and some booth table, it's also good in a group as well.. if you have tried this place you should come and try this place out. Next time this place is my to go place when I'm in town.

It was hard to have a conversation or even hear the server at times because of the live music out in the common area of the space. The music was good, it was just rather loud. Otherwise the vibe of the space if enjoyable with its nostalgia and stuff. In the past I've ranked my experience five stars but I had to bring it down a notch. I had the meatloaf dinner and my husband had Copper(something) pasta dish. Both were lukewarm at best. The flavors were still good but it wasn't a hot dish by any means, and the meatloaf was a bit saltier than I remember. For the pasta dish, the warm bread was hotter than the pasta dish itself. We didn't send it back because I noticed the server was handling dishes returned to the kitchen at the next table, and our dishes weren't cold or anything, they were just warm. I still maintain they absolutely deserve four stars because I suspect the kitchen might have been having an off night and the food was very good (just the meatloaf was a tad salty). We really enjoyed the mushroom appetizer and the beer selection is excellent.

Today we were "those people" and came in about 30 minutes before close and they still accommodated us. They had run out of sliced roast beef so they sliced it for us. And let me tell you they did not skimp. The sandwich was Stacked and delicious. They even apologized for the wait. Which was completely unnecessary. Definitely a favorite no matter where it is. Having just left we look forward to coming back already.

We wanted to order half a sandwich and salad but didn't see that on the menu. When I asked, they said "no problem," which was a nice surprise. For $15 each, we got what they called a "half" salad, though it was really a full plate - and it was excellent! The HUGE slice of fresh bread with butter that comes with all their salads was beyond good! The Caesar was crisp and flavorful, with homemade croutons that were honestly the highlight of our meal. I also had the club sandwich on their house made sourdough, which was stacked with meats, fresh veggies, and a tangy mayo/mustard spread. I asked the woman behind the counter about desserts, and she happily walked me through everything they had. The place was busy (it's a smaller spot that mostly seats two-tops), but luckily, we didn't have to wait. As for dessert, we didn't have room this time, but the cookies, pies, and fresh-baked bread all looked amazing. Definitely something to try next visit!

However, given the reviews we decided to try it out. I must say, it was one of the best meals I have in a long time! Completely upscale, with an unexpected salad and gelato to cleanse your palate between courses. The wine was excellent, and I had to look twice to see the price which was half of what you'd pay for such a mean in a big city. We will be back to Bisbee and Roka soon!

We arrived just under the wire as the last table seated for the evening and were fully prepared to be turned away, but the hostess kindly welcomed us in. Our server was warm, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about both the food and its preparation. As the evening went on, we learned that this is a family-run restaurant, which only added to the charm and warmth of the experience. I ordered the mussels, one of my favorite dishes, while my girlfriend had the artichoke and mushroom lasagna. For dessert we shared the crème brûlée and a caramel nut tart with mascarpone. Both of us have traveled extensively, eaten at many excellent restaurants around the world, and this was genuinely one of the better meals we've had. The restaurant is beautifully and thoughtfully designed, the food was exceptional, and the service matched it perfectly. As a business owner myself, and as an artist who deeply appreciates craftsmanship and people doing things well, I can't express enough how much I enjoyed the experience.

Some things just come with…read morean old hotel but are worth mentioning: the elevator has been out for months apparently, and that should really be mentioned when booking as many guests have problems with stairs, and there are no rooms on the first floor. There is no parking. There is no microwave or fridge and no room service. The bed is not comfortable and you can hear everything through the walls and floors. However, other things are inexcusable regardless of how historic the hotel is. The WiFi is not strong (multiple interruptions watching TV) and there was a live roach in the room. The front desk was not very friendly or accommodating. If you're looking for a historic, possibly haunted, hotel with a prime location, you may want to consider the Copper Queen, but would not stay again.

Note to…read moreself (and other travelers) if you walk in to ANY lodging facility without a reservation and think you want to stay, ask to see the room and pay attention to how things look before booking! We were so excited to stay in the historic spot in Bisbee and super happy they had availability. We overlooked the dingy carpet, grungy tile, dusty everything and booked rooms for ourselves and my mother in law. We are all really easy going folks that take road trips together quite a bit...not super picky... BUT... EEEEEWWWWWWW! Not only are the corners and crevices of the hallways, lobby, restaurant and rooms filthy, the pool hadn't been cleaned or cared for in obviously more than a year. Dead weeds and old spider webs, etc. all over. Windows were super dirty throughout the place.... Why did we stay? Ugh. We were too weary from traveling and the beds and towels were actually obviously very clean and we thought we could deal with two nights. We did. But man, were we ready to get into our clean car!!! Let's talk about the bar and restaurant that we gave a chance, too. Jeeeeeeezus! Unkempt bartender sat at the end of the empty bar with the music blaring so loudly that it was almost impossible to order. We wanted classic. gin martinis and were told they didn't have olives. Website boasted full bar. Well, we're cool... ok... give us a twist Abby make sure we can taste the vermouth. "Of course," she said. Ummmmm.... Nah. We got two wine glasses with straight house gin. (Asked for Bombay Sapphire) barely shaken. No twist. We wanted a drink, so we drank them and sat outside so we could hear ourselves think. So dumb to give the restaurant a chance. HORRIBLE, tough steak and uncooked brussel sprouts. Meal was inedible. Don't do it. Also - no joke about being haunted. Had pressure against the bed, cords that were on the floor suddenly dropped to the floor like they had been picked up and dropped; door creaked open and cold air filled the room. NOOOO! Do not spend your money here. We should have checked it out before paying for two rooms for two nights. They're getting 2 stars because the linens were clean and they had vacancies.
