I was pleasantly surprised to see a nice tea selection. I find that places cater to coffee drinkers and tea is limited to regular smegular Lipton from the local dollar tree. Not here!!! Soooo about my service, Tasha came and got me right away. She was kind and genuine. We chatted during my service. She helped me pick a color and was very affirming. I did the medium pedicure, gel removal and additional gel polish since Cleveland decided I needed rain on my pedicure day. Ugh! My tea was tasty, my feet feel great. I made an appointment the day before which was super easy. They patiently explained the differences in pedicure types and service process. I selected Statement Pedicure ($60) with gel add-on and removal ($15). I received luxury add-on free - lip mask. I selected colors from an old school book but screen try-one are also an option. I went with tried and true OPI but other options/brands are available. I love the pedicure area that includes privacy dividers and curtains. If you're doing pedicure solo, you can be separated from other guests. If you're visiting with the group, the curtain can be lifted. It creates a very relaxing experience. I asked for tea (quite a few choices) and my tea magically appeared at my chair when I arrived. The chair rotates to let you easily climb in, has gentle massage and heat. Gel removal starts with cute plastic clip-ons for quicker removal. You are asked about shaping and the number of coats. I liked my nail tech and her preciseness. Plan for a bit extra time (over an hour) if you're planning to take gel off and reapply gel. I feel like other salons have more masks as part of the pedicure service, but I was satisfied here. SERVICE: I'd love to add a few other reasons I love Statement. I recently called in to move up my appointment to an earlier time the day of. They easily switched me which seemed like a miracle. Also, so many little nice device touches here - coat room, complimentary drinks, continuously genuine and very friendly service, and consistent quality. I'll be back very soon for a wax.

They use plastic bags in the pedicure bowl but never clean or wipe them, also pay attention as the gentleman named Hi, provided a pedicure, then slid over to my pedicure with the same dirty tools and towels. Needless to say, I had to request clean towels and tools and explain to him this was unsanitary. There was no spray cleaner in sight - he had to go to the back room to get it. I also noticed that the owner goes the extra mile in using terms and expressions from our community. It's unnecessary, just be yourself as I am sure you don't speak that way in your culture. This does not win brownie points and is annoying. Examples include, "Hey girlfriend." The entire conversation was sprinkled with fitting into the black community. Then reverted to her language and laughed speaking to her coworkers. This is demeaning, just be yourself. Polo Nails should be fined and mandated to clean and maintain sanitary conditions. The unsanitary conditions clearly express that they don't care about our community, they come in and provide low service and we accept it. Ladies wake up and run from this nasty salon. I glad I didn't see before, as I may have went elsewhere. I did witness employees wiping stations and pedicure bowls between customers, but the floor and chairs and area around the sink needed care. They moved me to another chair stating someone would come and finish my gel polish. 40 minutes later someone comes and finishes my service. I didn't complain or anything I waited patiently. When I went to pay I kindly asked for a discount because not one of them advised me that only 1 person in the shop can do gel polish. Tran the owner I'm assuming laugh in my face and said no we can't help that they were busy .... It was only 5 people in there! They really weren't willing to help. We've been going to this spa for years for different services. I've always recommended them to others but not anymore.
