Genuinely just don't waste you're time, they went around posting flyers saying 115 for front breaks, well I took my car in and he said an hour for his inspection so if something went wrong we couldn't sue them and he found "some much wrong it it" been in the waiting room for two hours and he comes out trying to sell me all these things and I said no just the breaks his mood completely changed and he said it was 75 for the inspection NEVER TOLD ME THAT BEFORE HAND, you can not just say you wanna look at the car to make sure it is okay and than say it is 75 after doing it!!! I would never recommend DIX AUTO CLINIC in Melvindale , I took my car in for some repairs, Endurance was billed $745 for their part I was billed $1700 for my part of the repair that Endurance didn't cover, I paid my part on a Saturday and because Endurance was not open on Saturday he Sam at Dix Auto Clinic said that if I would pay Endurance $745 amount he would release my car and refund me the $745 on Monday when Endurance paid him, Well Monday rolls around and I class Sam and Sam did not give Endurance the paperwork, he was supposed to do that on Saturday by fax or email. Nor did he do it on Monday, Tuesday and finally turned in the paperwork on Wednesday, here it is Thursday and he still hasn't refunded my credit card the $745. Now he tells me that endurance only paid him $708.42 and he now wants me to make up the difference that he did not get paid from Endurance $37. Or he will not refund anything to my credit card. I really don't believe that this is right at all. He should be calling Endurance and taking it up with them. I paid my part. I told him that and Sam told me he doesn't have time to be on hold trying to talk to somebody at Endurance Insurance, so now I have to dispute the $745 charge with my credit card company. SCAMMER!!!! BEWARE!!!! My car needed an A/C compressor so I called the guy "Sam" and asked how much it would be he said 250. That sounded like a good deal so I said okay. Then he calls me a day later saying that there was some other problem that needed to be fixed and said it will cost 700 I told him I don't want to repair it because it's too much. Then he called me an hour later and said he will do it for 300 I said no I don't want to fix it anymore. Sam quoted me 1450 for an engine and to remove and replace it. After my car was towed there from Saginaw, he ended up jacking the price to 1330 for just the labor, had me supply all the fluids, gaskets, and for some reason a new thermostat. Now he messed up the steering rack and created an exhaust leak. Had to pay top rate for crap work, now I have to go spend more money to fix his mistakes. SCAMMER! Watch out! If I could I would give 0 stars! Charged me $85 for 2 screws to my engine cover! I went here this morning and the guy told me my engine cover needed to be replaced and I said i thought maybe some screws came loose he said no it needs to be replaced & he could do it for $85, I said ok he's the mechanic! When he put it on the lift he showed me my left cv axel was leaking and it was gonna be over $400 to replace it so I called my car warranty and they were able to do if for free. So I told him that, and I said they will also replace my engine cover he said no u owe me $85 for that because I already replaced it and I said ok let me see the part, he said I replaced 2 screws u owe me $85. WTF? I said didn't I say that when I first got here it was some screws that came loose and u told me no the engine cover needed to be replaced? He charged me $85 for 2 screws, who does that? When he gave me my receipt he wrote he repaired lower engine plastic cover, so I wrote underneath replaced 2 screws and signed my initials. He got mad scribbled out what I wrote, and said how dare u write in the mechanics section. I told him give me my receipt and keys and I'm gonna make sure everyone knows about you! He got mad and started yelling at me and how disrespectful I was because I wrote on the receipt! I told him this will be your last time u screw anyone over. See I don't have to argue with u I'm gonna hit u where it really hurts ur pockets! It's bad enough we have all this stuff happening in the world, and you wanna take people money! I would NEVER recommend Dix Auto Repair to anyone !!! I have taken my only means of transportation there, and after paying more than $3,000 for the work, it had began leaking oil. The leak was never fixed and now I have a blown engine. And the shop doesn't want to fix it, because they know that I know they caused it to happen. I have reported them to the Bureau of Automotive Regulations and also to the BBB. The shop is FILTHY. Sam has NO customer service. He doesn't know how to talk to his customers. His attitude is VERY poor. You get told your vehicle will be done in 2 days, and it ends up being almost a week. They do not care if you have children and need your vehicle immediately. They care about nothing but taking your money. I hope with my situation, people no longer take their vehicle there. I am going to court to file a claim against them as well. Making me and my children suffer, is uncalled for. They KNEW my truck engine was about to go out, due to their work changing my oil. This place is disgusting the office is filthy there is dirt every where the machanic Sam has the worse attitude ever he doesnt know how to speak to his costumers or make himself clear. His prices are outrageous one minute he'll say a good reasonable price and then it becames into a grand or two. He uses junkyard parts without a costumers approval. He advertises free towing and then towing ends up being about $100 out of your pocket. Sam and the mechanics always take forever to do a job your car can be sitting outside the shop for weeks without being touched. Based off the experience I just had today, I would not be coming back to this place and would not recommend it either! First of all, I waited in a filthy room for at least 5 hours while they fixed my car, didn't keep me updated on the progress, and spoke nothing but Arabic. I feel I was greatly overcharged and they wanted to charge me even more, but I just didn't have it. To top it all off, after I finally got to leave, another customer and I were in the front having a conversation, and we were told to get off the property! Talk about customer service!
