I was so surprised by the fraudulent behavior of the over the counter staff, specifically the old man and his son Mohammad, engaged in what I consider to be deceitful behavior and their business practices are steeped in lies and dishonesty at this so-called Tel Ford Service mechanic shop. I initially visited their shop for a simple fuel pump replacement, a task that should have been straightforward. However, they deliberately sabotaged the brand-new part I had personally purchased, forcing me to buy an identical one from them at an exorbitant $567 markup. To add insult to injury, they charged me an additional $300 in labor fees. The old man initially promised to source a superior pump directly from the manufacturer, with the expectation of improved quality justifying the higher price. However, it became clear that he had simply ordered the same Napa Auto Parts pump that I had originally provided (the one he had vandalized). When confronted, he refused to speak with me directly, instead sending his son as an intermediary to feign ignorance. In the end, I was swindled out of over $860 beyond the original estimate. I think this mechanic shop is a den of thieves, and I urge others to avoid them at all costs. Few days later, I had to revisit them for a rattling sound came from the area supposedly repaired part, well within their work warranty. His son then had the audacity to suggest a $75 diagnosis fee, with no acknowledgment of their own error. Please don't take your Vehicle to Tel-Ford Service! I dropped off my SUV for an estimate on getting some front end work done and was quoted work that I knew it didn't need! For example, 2 months ago I replaced my front hub assembly (somewhere else) and they told me that it needed to be replaced. The price that they quoted me was extremely high, and when I went to pick up the car they charged me $45 to inspect the car, which they did a poor job doing in the first place. I was very upset to say the least and you don't charge someone an inspection fee without mentioning anything when a customer drops off their car, that's simply bad management to say the least. Save yourself the hassle that I went through, and drive to some other auto shop! Trust me, I usually hate giving anyone a bad review....but no one desires to be treated this way! read more

I have used them 3 x in the past. The repairs were timely and fixed the problem. The did not appear to include uneccesary services. The first 2 repairs seemed to be priced competitively. The most recent replacement of a starter seemed a bit high so I benchmarked it at a place I go more frequently. Ford Tel charged $431 (part 330, labor 88) to replace a starter. My benchmarked price was $300. O'Rielly's price on a starter was $178. So it looks like they mark up their parts considerably. read more

Quite possibly the best and most trusted Auto Repair shop in the Southeast Michigan area. The mechanics at this shop are ASE certified, they are a NAPA Auto Care Center, have been in business for decades and is the number one most referred to Auto shop I am aware of. They recently moved from their old location of Tel-Ford Shell and are just down the street about a quarter mile. You will never have to go back for the same problem or any mistakes other shops make. They only use high quality parts and warranty their work. They are extremely honest and the owner Adnan ("Ed") is also very well known with returning customers from 20 years ago! Also, many loyal customers live an hour or more away and only come to this repair shop because of their perfect service. I myself have been coming here since 2004 and simply will not go anywhere else. If all of these facts don't make it the number one shop in Michigan, I don't know what else will. read more

tel ford is the worst shop i went to im 20 years old had power steering problems on my 01 monte carle paid $1,200 to get it fixed less than 2 months same problem occur and they say its something else that cost that problem. when someone pays $1,200 i would hope the problem doesnt come back, car has been in shop for 3 days and i have to call to get updates they dont even bother to call. if your spending big bucks i would not recommend this shop. read more
