Updating my review. I typically will come back to see if theyve solved some problems and gotten in the swing of things. Th opposite kinda hit me today. The food was hot, fresh, and there were no issues with the service. But i had to knock two stars off my initial review. First off, I did order the same thing. Unfortunately the quantity was cut by somewhere between 20-40% Pic attatched. Secondly, the price went up by $1.50. I also asked for cocktail sauce again (fried shrimp, oysters, and gator tail) and they still have none. After 5 months that means its a chef or owner choice. Unless youre a multistar michellin chef, I would expext to be able to enjoy food with the common accessories, not someone else's choices. Again, the food was fine, the server was good, but it's losing stars for me on value and a lack of the most common fried seafood condiment ever. read more

The food was just ok. The gumbo was cold and rice was hard. The house salad was lacking for sure. The low county boil was not that great (shrimp, crab, crawfish, corn, sausage) it was expensive and not worth it unfortunately. Our waitress was not very enthusiastic and seemed to not want to be there. Go for the beignets!! Maybe try shrimp and grits next time. It was dark inside and needed some updating. read more

Food was good but not exceptional. I had the Chicken Penne pasta which did have a little kick spice wise, but was not too much. I even had some leftovers for lunch the next day. My wife had the Blackened red fish which she felt was a little bland. The red fish came with a side (Cajun fries were selected). The fries were fresh and hot, but not as spicy as anticipated. The mural on the wall had an appropriate Cajun theme. The waitress was friendly. We plan on returning at some point in the near future to try the po boys for lunch. read more

Well they've done it again!!! These folks are such nice and sweet people. The food is some of the best Cajun cuisine I've ever had. The wings are second to none!!! The jambalaya, I've had many times and never disappoints, always wonderful. Love this place!!! read more

Enjoyed dinner tonight, our second visit, the first being the week they opened. The service was great, the food delivery time was very good and the food was excellent. The portions were ample and cooked perfectly. My wife had the shrimp PoBoy with okra and I had a cup of gumbo and the low country boil everything was delicious. I am a very spicy food person so the only thing I would offer is that with the boil serve some Old Bay seasoning to use. A great addition to dining in Blairsville! read more

Tried them tonight. Was very disappointed! Jambalaya had no flavor ! Portion wasn't very big for the price and had very little chicken and sausage. Lots of rice. The flavor was missing in the Jambalaya as well as the Gumbo. $18.49 for a bowl of gumbo is a bit much, but add no flavor and it's a disaster. No taste! They claim to have a Louisiana background but that's up for debate. Most Louisiana Cajun restaurants have flavor and good size portions. They don't! Bland food will not translate to repeat customers. Service was ok but I never got the water I asked for. No alcohol was a surprise! I was really hoping to find a go to place but won't be back. read more

Just returned to have lunch here after trying them on opening day, and I have to say that the change was remarkable! I think they listened to folks seeking authentic Cajun flavors, who mentioned that the food had been a bit bland initially, and they really stepped up the flavor. The gumbo was amazing with large pieces of shrimp, sausage, and chicken supported by a tasty broth made with a Molé roux. I wouldn't call it spicy hot, but well seasoned with a nice little kick. Those afraid of a little heat, Cajun food isn't always hot, but it should have spice/ flavor to it. Also tried the popcorn crawfish bites, and they were excellent. Even the smallest pieces contained a good portion of crawfish. You could definitely tell that you were eating crawfish rather than shrimp. The batter was crispy but not greasy, and the homemade remoulade sauce was the perfect compliment. read more

I ordered a cake and drove almost 2 hours to pick it up. When I got there, I was told by the hostess they didn't have any orders. I was asked to show proof of my order, which I did. Then, we sat while she figured it out. She returned and said someone would be there in about 30 minutes to talk to me about my order. The person finally came, apologized, and told me they would cook the cake I ordered and traveled to pick up. I was told it would be about an hour before it was ready. We told them we had driven a long way and were willing to wait and appreciated them cooking it for me: Through all this, my husband and I assured them it was fine and we would wait. We were very calm and polite. Granted, we had our four-year-old twins with us, so it was very frustrating, to say the least, but I have Celiac and really wanted the gluten-free king cake, and had been looking forward to it all week. We figured since we had to wait, we would try their food. There was no gluten-free menu, even though we were told one of the owners has Celiac as well. My husband ordered boudin balls and was unimpressed, as they are not authentic boudin. My kids ordered the gator bites and fries, but they did not eat them, and my husband said he didn't blame them for not eating the fries. I ordered the shrimp and grits, and it was nothing to write home about. My husband ordered a po' boy and asked for the banana peppers on the side. It came out with the bell peppers on the side and banana peppers all over it. We ate and waited, our kids growing increasingly restless as time went on. The server was very young and obviously inexperienced as she stood on the side of the table with my kids to hand plates over. She also left the front door open at one point, allowing cold air to pour in. My husband had to close the door for her because she apparently didn't notice it. And she put his sandwich order in wrong, At about 6:10 -after being in the restaurant for over an hour- our server said my cake would be ready in "just a minute." We waited some more. After 10 mins, my husband decided to take one of my kids to the truck and go ahead and get it started (it's a diesel, if you know, you know). At 6:25, one of the owners came to the table and asked how everything was. I told her it was fine, and she proceeded to tell me the tip my husband left was "rude," seeing as they were "going out of their way to make it right." I'm a little confused as to how driving 30 minutes to the restaurant she owns and baking the cake that was ordered four days in advance is going out of her way. I would say that driving almost two hours and sitting in a restaurant with my 4-year-old twins for nearly two more hours was a better representation of going out of the way. Until then, my husband and I had been frustrated but not angry. However, this made us both very angry. No, we did not leave a big tip. We did not have great service from the server. We had been inconvenienced by the whole situation but kept our cool, and we had already stayed to eat even though we didn't plan to and therefore spent $50 more in their establishment than we had planned to. We found this behavior from the owner shocking as they are a small business and did not have a lot of traffic the whole time we were there. I waited ten more minutes after this incident. I finally had to take my other child to the truck because he was fed up with being there, and I went back in to continue waiting. Finally, I walked out with my cake at 6:40 pm after arriving to pick it up at 5 pm. I will not go back, and will not recommend it to anyone for anything. read more

Allie and her family have a winner here! We came in specifically because Crawfish Etoufee was the special tonight and it's my husband's favorite! When we arrived she greeted us at the door and told her we came for that. When it came time to order the server said they were out of etoufee but she would check. She came back and said Allie was making a new batch just for him! Now, that's going above and beyond in the service area! Our meals were great, portions very generous & flavorful! Put this new, family owned and run restaurant on your list of 'go to' places. read more

I was not impressed at all with my meal or service. For an appetizer I had the fried crawfish tails. It appeared each tail was cut into 3 or 4 pieces breaded and fried. Some breading had no crawfish at all. For my entree I had gumbo and red beans and rice. I have eaten a lot of gumbo all over the south and this is one of the worst I have ever had. Since this was listed as an entree I assumed I would get a full bowl, but I got half a bowl. It was greasy, watery and tasteles and it cost 16+ dollars. The red beans and rice were awful. The rice was hard and the beans were undercooked and mealy. no flavor to them. It is clear whoever owns this place never taste the food. Don't expect it to last past Christmas. read more
