Went back to the Dive Bar last week with two friends…read more No wait, many open tables, good service, excellent ambiance. All ordered the lobster rolls which we've had many times in the past. I spent forty years in the seafood business so I know what I'm talking about! This was the first time we were served frozen defrosted lobster meat which was dry and tasteless. Very disappointed! But to make matters worse today I went on line as I do every couple of weeks to review the Palm beach County Restaurant Inspection Reports (available on Google) and frankly I was stunned to read the horrible report on the most recent inspection last week. Management should be ashamed at what was discovered by the health inspector! I'm really concerned about going back to dine there. They really need to get their act together and take action to assure their clientele that this mess has been cleaned up and will not happen again!!!!!

I give two stars to the fact that they have live music. The perpetually open air use of the windows as gathering points to drink and talk? One small step for watering hole, one giant leap towards a meeting with the first letter of the alphabet, used twice. They serve a lot of beer. And 101 drinks. The bartenders know their locals. And this place is full of locals. This is usually the spot that people who have started at Irish brigade, or Lilo's will gravitate towards after those places close down for the night. It's a short walk, or, stagger over there. With no disrespect intended to the clientele, you pick dive bars for their "vibe." A lot of people are going to love this place. Absolutely delicious, the pretzel was very light and the bear cheese had so much flavor to it. Three of us got burgers that were absolutely mouthwatering you bite into it and you went. oh yes, one bite burger!! This is the place to go. My girlfriend got a grilled chicken sandwich. It was absolutely delicious and the chicken she said was seasoned perfectly. Just sitting there, looking all around, brought us back to our childhood the antiques on the ceiling on the wall on the table every direction was so much fun. But it grows on you... The Sail Inn is in every sense of the phrase, a "dive bar".
