We went out of our way to go to this location as they had some special "dumpling squishies" that our teenagers "had to have," as this item was trending on social media. We called ahead and Harmons put two to the side and it's a good thing - when we went by a few hours later, these were the only ones left in stock! We also purchased some snacks for our drive. Staff was friendly, store was clean, and selection on all products was fabulous. I agree with others that this is the best grocery store around and worth a visit if you're in the area.

I like how they also have a large seating area for folks to eat. We did try the gelato that they sell here and it's pretty good! My favorites are the Biscoff and pistachio. There's also a cafe for drink orders. It's not too far off the freeway, and there's also a gas station - great one-shop stop!

We've spent hundreds of dollars at Red Mountain Market. Sadly, a few days ago, I was rudely confronted by the cashier, who I believe may have been the owner, Todd Muse. I came to the store to shop and ask a question about something I may have lost near the counter the other day (a pack of Hormel meals). However, no one was even at the register when I went in. Next thing I know, the cashier come sover and starts telling me I need to leave the bags in the front of the store. He then boxes me in and corners me there near the entrance like I'm some ruffian out to rob the place. I understand that businesses have policies to protect themselves from theft and loss. That's not really the issue. The issue was the way I was approached and made to feel as though I was doing something wrong simply by walking into the store with bags. I was treated like I was some kind of thief or a criminal for coming in with bags and looking at some protein noodles in an aisle of the store. I had come there as a paying customer, not as someone looking to cause trouble. And I can't shake this feeling that I was treated differently because of the way I look. That feeling became even worse when I read another review complaining about being treated differently in this store by an individual matching the description of the cashier because of a similar reason. I then asked about the item I thought I may have left behind a few days earlier. Instead of looking, checking, or even seeming willing to help, my question was immediately dismissed with, "Well, there's nothing we can do at this point." That really bothered me. I wasn't asking anyone to perform an exhaustive search. I was simply asking whether something might have been turned in or left near the register. It would've taken two seconds for the cashier to turn his head and look over the counter to see if my package of Hormel meals was still there. He couldn't even do that. It felt like he just wanted me out. So, I left. I left without spending another cent. And I never intend to spend another cent there. What makes the experience especially disappointing is that my family had become regular customers. We've spent hundreds of dollars there over the past several weeks. We specifically chose to support this small local business rather than automatically going to Walmart or Smith's. There were products we bought so frequently that we would joke that we were the reason they kept selling out. You know, if he hadn't treated me like that, I probably would've purchased all the protein noodles rather than ordering them on Amazon the next day. I probably would've continued to buy out the Hebrew National hotdogs and buy my wife the Red Button ice cream she loves. But no more. I don't expect special treatment because I've spent money there. I do, however, expect to be treated like a valued customer rather than with suspicion and dismissal. I strongly believe in supporting local businesses. But supporting local has to work both ways. Customers should also feel welcomed, appreciated, and treated with basic courtesy. Unfortunately, after this experience, I no longer feel comfortable shopping at Red Mountain Market.

However, the $19.18 for Fees is excessive. I did call Grub Hub customer service and though the lady was difficult to understand (English was heavily accented) what I got from her listing of costs under the Service Fee umbrella came off as more like the cost of doing business rather than a burden buyers should bear. When using Grub Hub, just be aware that my $222 food delivery quickly became $260. If that does not give you pause, Grub Hub might be for you.

Dixie Meats is such a great addition to this town! I stop there a minimum of 2 times a week. Being able to get a steak cut to the thickness desired is such a treat. The owner, Eric Shameti, told me it was OpenTable's policy that I could not get out of the $50-per-person fee. After I explained the situation, he said he would "see if he could lower the head count" to possibly reduce the charge. I contacted OpenTable's restaurant division to verify this. They confirmed exactly what I had already read online: OpenTable does not set these fees--each restaurant sets its own cancellation and deposit policy. I then looped Eric into the call so both parties could hear the same information. The moment I began confirming the facts with the OpenTable representative, Eric launched into a stream of profanity, calling me a "piece of shit," telling me to "F-- off," and directing the same language at OpenTable. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (like many people in this community), I found his language deeply offensive and told him I would not be bullied. He continued the verbal assault, then changed his story and admitted it was actually *his* policy, not OpenTable's. Once he was caught in the lie, he began screaming at both me and the OpenTable representative. I have never been treated so poorly by a restaurant owner. This is someone who showed zero regard for his customers or the community and was willing to lie in order to extract $50 per person. There is no response Eric can give that would make up for the lies, the verbal abuse, or the attempt to pressure me into paying a fee under false pretenses. I strongly encourage anyone reading this to think carefully before supporting this restaurant. OpenTable is currently in the process of reviewing his account for deplatforming. I will be sharing this experience across social media and have already spoken with local media. I have also retained legal counsel should he attempt to charge my card. Behavior like this should not be tolerated. If an owner is willing to lie so easily about a cancellation policy, it raises serious questions about what else he might be willing to misrepresent.
