Great family friendly auto store that carries a ton of hard to find parts. Only place I go for my high end racing parts.

I don't know why Yelp is showing I'm from San Francisco when I'm from southern Indiana…read more I tried to make a purchase in store yesterday (6-21-25). I used a giftcard that had a remaining balance that covered most of the purchase and then tried to use a regular credit card to cover the $2.16 difference, but the register locked up. Two employees waited to see if it would fix itself until one, who I later found out was the manager, decided to restart the register. After restarting, their system didn't show my transaction, but the giftcard's balance was $0 and it showed the transaction. I offered to pay the balance I owed, but was told "no". After some back and forth with the manager, he left the register to call the DM. He either didn't call or it was a very short conversation, but he assured me that the money would be back on the giftcard the following day. I explained to him that I just wanted to complete my purchase, didn't want to have to wait until the following day for something that may or may not happen, and that I lived 15 minutes away so I really didn't want to have to come back if the money didn't make it back to the giftcard. At that point, he asked me what I wanted so I again offered to pay the balance and was again told "no". I even offered to pay the balance AND leave the giftcard since he was positive the money would go back was again told "no". Why ask what I want when you know what I want and you're just going to tell me "no" again. I asked if he would be there the following day and, after he told me he would be, I said I'd come back if the money wasn't back on the giftcard. I checked the giftcard's balance today (the following day) and saw that it was still $0 so I drove the 15 minutes to speak with the manager again. I asked for him only to be told "he's not in today" meaning he FLAT OUT LIED to me the previous day. I had to explain my situation to someone else who said "the DM doesn't know what she's talking about because it'll take more than one day for the money to go back on the giftcard". So the DM said one thing which the manager assured me was the case after he didn't seem to know what was going on and then someone else told me something completely different. How does the store manager not know exactly what would happen in the case of their system locking up after a card is ran? This is over only $19.22. I feel like it could've easily been made right on the first day. This is my second bad experience with this location. I placed an order online in April 2024 for store pick-up. I received the email to tell me my order was ready, but upon arriving at the store, I was told they didn't have one of the items. The email showed it was ready and no one from the store bothered to call me ahead of time to let me know their inventory was off. This required me to go to another location 10 minutes away. This location is terrible. Go literally anywhere else.

Extremely frustrated with Jacobi sales. Earlier in the summer we brought our old club cadet mower…read moreto have fixed. Prior to fixing asked jay "how much estimate?" $600. So we hauled it in there and eventually it was "fixed" @$900. I say eventually because their service repairman decided that he was sick and would be back in a week. He left our mower undone and no one knew where all the screws went. We drove the 45 minutes into Seymour to pick it up. Brought it home at the PTO didn't work. Called Jay and he said that they would come get it and return it. Called a week later as I had not heard from him and he said "could we come pick it up it would be another $300". So we did. Fast forward to today and the belt is broken and the PTO isn't working.

Took 2 push mowers there for service. One was an old Toro that had been very intermittently the…read morepast several years. It started a bit rough. I also had a 2 year old Cub Cadet. Both mowers were to have basic services provided. Oil, air filter and so on. I took them there late in the winter. My thought process was that I would beat the rush before mowing season. When I dropped the mowers off, it was 15 minutes before closing time. They close at 5 and that was the soonest I could drop them off during the week. When I walked in, everyone seemed done for the day. Standing around talking, which I don't have a problem with. What I did have a problem with is that I had to approach a couple of employees chatting to get anyone to help me. A few weeks went by and I called to check on the mowers. Wait another week I was told. A week and a half later, I received a call stating they were ready. I picked up the mowers and the price was a two hundred plus dollars. No sharpening of the blades was done. Just an oil change, new spark plug and air filter. No sharpening of the blades which I thought was part of it. When I questioned the bill, I was giving a very vague answer. So I asked what their hourly service rate was and was told $100 an hour ! Wow, wasn't expecting that. Well, it at least they should run very well for the season I thought to myself. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The Toro would start, run for 10 seconds, then stop. The Cub Cadet electric starter still wasn't working. I forgot to mention this in the post. I asked them to look at it, because it stopped working after 2 years. I purchased it brand new. So I took the mowers back the next day. Explained my situation and was referred to a guy the called Push Rod. He told me that the Cub Cadets electric starter conks out after a couple of years. There was nothing he could do. I was shocked because a rarely used it. I just use the pull cord. Then he tried the Toro. Said it was probably a problem with the carburetor and it wasn't worth fixing. I told him that was to bad because it was my dad's mower and he since passed. He said " well if it is sentimental, you can always put it on a shelf." Lovely guy . I then asked Push Rod if they even started the Toro because of the issue I was having. He said " we must have. What's to say it wasn't running fine and developed the problem once you got it home." Again, lovely individual. I told him I live a mile and a half away. I highly doubted that something occurred in that short drive. I I tried starting it as soon as I unloaded it. So I called an old neighbor of mine who works on mowers. He cleaned the carburetor and adjusted the pacing for me as well. Charged me $25 dollars to do so. I am now using the Toro again.
