Wow! I hit a pole with my car and the flaps on the front started sounding when I drove. The closest and best reviewed place is Dixens, so I called and they said yes, to come by. I came by and they said they'd make it safe to drive for free. They said I got lucky because it looked worse than it was and they checked the suspension and others; they are okay. I am so shocked and relieved. Then I realized I also needed an oil change, so they changed my oil too. The owner BJ is so kind and made me feel welcomed and relieved. Do go here! read more

Had the absolute BEST experience at Dixon Suspension & Smog. The staff is amazing, especially the owner BJ. I called ahead and he checked on the tires I needed, he gave me all of the price info and shared his in depth knowledge of the brands and my options. He told me to swing by anytime and he'd take care of me. I showed up the following day and sure enough, Bj and his team got me and my Tesla Model 3 in and out of the shop with four brand new tires and a smile on my face! This place does quality work. BJ is a honest businessman. He took my daughters car in that needed some front end work done on it. He checked the car out and found the tie rod was bent along with a few other issues. He gave me a price to fix it and offered me a discount on the repairs to be done. So for the service requested it was a good value and they finished the repairs when promised. After the repairs were made I took the car to a different shop to do an alignment. The other shop tried to tell me I had a bunch of oil leaks but couldn't tell me where the leaks were. I went back to Dixon Suspension & Smog and talked to BJ. he brought it in to his shop put it up on the rack and brought me in to the shop under the car and showed me that there were not leaks like the other shop said there was. So if you want to be ripped off take your vehicle to the other shop. But if you want honest good work done by a shop that believes in taking care of their customers and believes without you, there is no them. They stripped a bolt on my knuckle that also supports my lower control arms ball joint and then messed up again tapped the hole and put a bigger bolt in and guess what the bolt literally just fell out. Did a smog check here. Called ahead to see how much it cost. The guy on the photo was very polite. They told me the best time to come. Showed up, took about 15-20 min for the smog check. They had a nice indoor area waiting. Nice AC and comfortable chairs. Will definitely come back for any other smog check. read more

The question is posed asking me what went well? My answer is? EVERYTHING! I'm only sorry it took me so long to post this review. I went in on July 12, 2025 with extreme worries about my brakes, which I thought was gonna be devastatingly costly. Given this shop is pretty much right across the street from where I live. I have spoken to the owner in the past. Who's a very good man. So I took my car to him and he gave me his honesty. He charged me honestly and fairly and most of all they were absolutely correct About what was wrong with my brakes. It turns out my brake fluid had never been changed in all the times Mazda of Vacaville had serviced my car which was over the past 2 1/2 years. But I did find out is Mazda continue to add brake fluid to old brake fluid during each service. Additionally, the brake fluid had never been changed and the history of the car since it was first sold brand new in 2018. They not only change my brake fluid, but they rotated my tires at no extra charge and also found a brake light that was out that they also changed. They did not charge me for the labor for that. They charge me for the light and I left there and paid a pretty fair price that I was happy with these guys are welcoming they treat you like family and they give it to you straight. I highly recommend this shop and I wish them all the best and I will continue to go to them for anything that I need because I trust them. I also know that a coworker who lives and works with me in Fairfield also experienced Dixon suspension and smog, and also left to find review for them. She's very happy as well. Excellent experience! So I came in to get a quote on a leveling kit fory 3500, they suggested a brand and we agreed to it, unfortunately I changed my mind after I had already payed and left and wanted to go with a different brand but they weren't a dealer for that suspension brand. They immediately refunded me so I could get the brand I wanted and once it comes in I will come back for install. Great experience. Called on a Saturday afternoon. Not only did the owner, BJ, pick up the phone, but he had time to do an oil change for me. BJ changed the oil in my car, and while doing that, discovered my tires needed to be rotated (which his shop did), and found a loose wire hanging under the car and fixed that as well! Extremely professional! There attention to detail is top notch. I had my bds lift kit that was previously put on by another shop modified to go with the new rims and tires. Everything works flawlessly. You can tell that this shop really cares about the customer and the product they put out. I had such a good experience that I had them install a light bar on my truck. My light bar was received on a Saturday and was installed on Sunday. Let me tell you about the wiring job! Everything is zip tied and hidden from the naked eye. A good wiring job is one you can't see and I got exactly that. I was also reminded by the owner to come back to get my suspension re-torqued free of charge. This shop really cares about your safety.
