He even opened the door for me coming in, which immediately felt welcoming. They take walk-ins, the process was super quick, and my car was done in less than 20 minutes I think. The lobby was also surprisingly cute and comfortable with plenty of seating. I especially loved that they had books for kids while waiting, including Where's Waldo, which was such a thoughtful touch. 1 star I went to Smog King for a smog check back in April, and they made a serious error that has now caused me major issues. They recorded my vehicle's mileage as 193,194 instead of the correct 93,194 -- a 100,000-mile mistake. Because of this, Carfax now shows inflated mileage on my vehicle, and it's made selling my car extremely difficult. When I returned to Smog King to ask for help correcting the mistake, the owner was incredibly rude and told me "not my problem" -- no apology, no attempt to help, just a dismissive attitude. This kind of customer service is unacceptable, especially when the business is the one at fault. I will never return to Smog King and would strongly advise others to go elsewhere if you care about your time, your vehicle, and how you're treated. read more

Registration time for my vehicle and I needed a smog. Today, I decided to do a walk-in this morning. When I arrived, there were only 2 cars in front of me. The owner was out there and greet me as soon as he saw me walk up. I told him a smog was needed and I didn't get to print the coupon and he said no worries I got you. He was friendly and he engaged with the clients ahead of me. He did the work himself from what I seen and he was efficient and explained to clients whether it passed or if it needed work. In my opinion, it's good when they take the time to explain what needs to be done if it didn't pass. And from what I observed that's what he did with one of the clients! it went quick! When it was my turn, I pulled my car in and waited while he ran the test. It took less than 10 mins, quicker than what I was told so that was great. He came out and with my paperwork and it passed the smog test! Woo hoo! I'm not sure what the normal cost is for a smog, but he gave me the $30 off even when I forgot to print the coupon so that was helpful. I highly recommend this place if a smog is needed.
