If the residual pest control chemical doesn't kill the newly hatched "yellow jackets" the second chemical treatment will be applied. Justin came out at the end of March, and the service I paid for specifically included attic treatment, sealing the attic edge line, sealing exterior weep holes, sealing an entry point along the garage roofline, and attic baiting/trapping. The entire point of paying this much was not simply to put out traps--it was to identify and seal the entry points so the mouse problem would actually be addressed. Yet only a few months later, I'm once again hearing mice running back and forth up in the attic. For $1,850, I think it's completely reasonable to expect the exclusion work to last longer than a few months. Instead, my experience has been that the emphasis seems to be on returning for repeated treatments every few months rather than actually eliminating the source of the problem. I understand that no pest-control company can guarantee a mouse will never enter a home again, but when you charge $1,850 specifically for rodent control and exclusion/sealing work, customers should reasonably expect the entry points to be properly identified and secured. I paid for a solution to the problem, not an endless cycle of recurring treatments.
