DJ Tuese refused to DJ 5 days before my wedding. It was his own personal choice to not comply with the county level mandate to provide either 1) proof of vaccination or 2) a negative COVID test result. While the mandate was implemented with very little notice, we had no choice to ask all of our vendors and guests to comply. Tuese was the only one who chose not to. While I understand he may have his personal beliefs, he didn't even provide a substitute. He also refused to refund the security deposit, even though he previously said that he would provide a full refund if he's unable to provide DJ services. I was left to anxiously find another DJ just days before my big day. This was immensely stressful and I wouldn't wish this on anyone planning their own wedding. I highly DO NOT recommend DJ Tuese for any of your special events. read more

We used DJ Tuese for my daughter Bat Mitzvah on Dec 22nd. We were looking for a DJ that was willing to make a few announcements (dinner, photo booth, dessert table, etc) and take control of the dance floor. DJ Tuese did all of this and so much more! We did a search through Yelp then came across DJ Tuese. The reviews were outstanding so we decided to give him a shot. DJ Tuese was super responsive and very accommodating with our requests. My wife is very organized and emailed a detailed timeline/agenda which didn't scare him away :). He met with us at the event location several weeks prior to the date and offered suggestions on how to set up the DJ booth and dance floor. My daughter created a 30 song request list which he incorporated into the play list. DJ Tuese also added several group dance songs to get everybody out on the dance floor. He also has several DJ style lights, lasers and a fog machine which created a terrific atmosphere. My daughter thought he was awesome and my wife and I were very happy with his services. Tuese did a great job as the DJ for my wedding reception dinner! He was recommended by my friend, who also had Tuese DJ her wedding. I'm so thankful for the recommendation, because I'm not sure I would have found him otherwise! My husband and I aren't really big on dancing, and neither are our families, so I didn't have too many expectations for dancing that night, but the dance floor was actually packed! Tuese picked songs that all our guests loved, and we're still getting compliments on our wedding music. I'm particularly thankful because I really didn't give very much guidance as to what kind of music I was expecting (maybe gave him about 5-10 examples of songs I enjoy) and he was able to pick up on the general type of music I liked. After the wedding, Tuese also sent us a video of clips that he'd recorded of the dance floor. It was such a nice surprise and gesture, and an extra step that we loved. It's extra special to be able to look back on those clips because you don't realize that on your own wedding day, there's so much going on that you miss a lot of the action at times. We'll treasure those video clips forever! Tuese also did us a huge favor and saved us from potential ceremony headaches. We only booked him for the reception, but 2 days before the wedding, we'd gone to the church to do a sound check and found out their sound system had some issues and couldn't play the music as we were expecting. In a frenzy, we called Tuese to see if he could run sound for our ceremony as well, but he was understandably already busy during those hours. He went out of his way to reach out to his contacts to see if any of them were available to help us out, and through him, we were able to find a DJ to help us play the ceremony music. Last night a DJ saved my life... OK, maybe it wasn't last night, and maybe he didn't quite save my life, but DJ Tuese REALLY made my wife's birthday party special! I found him on Yelp (tons of great reviews) and he was super-responsive, very informative and even provided video clips of some of his events. On top of all of that, his rates were incredibly competitive, and he could even arrange a photo booth for our event. I was sold. Leading up to the event, I probably contacted him a bit much (sorry DJ Tuese) with thoughts as to music, program, logistics, etc., and he was so patient and accommodating. Fast forward to night of, he (along with his photo booth provider) got there early to check out the space and set up, and just chat with me about last minute arrangements. Obviously, he was most amazing during the event itself. He knew to keep it low key during cocktail hour, so that our guests could mingle and catch up, was a great emcee during the actual "program" and then did an INCREDIBLE job of ramping up the hype and energy as the night progressed. DJ Tuese was awesome! He was the DJ for our wedding on 6/29/19. He was very kind and professional throughout the whole booking process. We contacted him about 3 months in advance, and he made the whole process so easy. The day of was wonderful, he played great music and everyone loved him! He could sense if the crowd wasn't really feeling the song and he changed it immediately. But that only happened 1 time that I remember because his music playlist was great. I would definitely recommend him! My main priority was keeping the music "family friendly" because we had a lot of young cousins who attended. So I didn't want any music with the explicit lyrics, and it was no problem for him to play the "clean" version. He has a variety music and played all the hits. He kept the party going and everyone had a fun time! He was so patient with me too the week before the wedding, I had emailed him a few times and he was so responsive and nice! I don't give many 5star reviews on Yelp but Tuese is amazing! My wife and I hired him to DJ and MC our wedding at The Mountain Terrace this October and he did a fantastic job. He arrived on time and set everything up quickly. We paid extra for uplighting and he really nailed it with the perfect placement around the venue. Our wedding cake and bar area looked amazing with the purple and blue uplights. And of course, he did a fantastic job with the music and his sound system and had our guests dancing all night long.
