I am new to the area & was looking for a good nail salon to do old school (pink & white) acrylics. Everywhere I checked only did "SNS" /dip acrylics (which I'm not a fan of). I called DJ Nails after searching google for recommendations and at 1:00pm was easily booked for a full set with Trina at 5:30 the same day Trina asked my preferences as I sat down and did exactly what I asked for!! And even had glitter & colored acrylics for my tips which I love. She was super friendly, and quick!! So quick I had time to spare afterward so asked if there was time before closing to squeeze in a pedicure....... No problem at all! Pedicure with CeeCee was AWESOME! I come in without an appointment and the last that was there only does nails and I wanted my feet done as well. She was very nice and said the other lady had to run and get a prescription she would be back soon and said come sit we can go ahead and do your nails. She was so sweet and even gave me recommendations on places to eat since I'm here for work. The lady that did my feet was nice but I don't feel like it was long and enjoyable enough. Randomly booked pedicures for my mom and I earlier this week at this establishment. The lady who answered the phone explained that they were short staffed, but that she'd try her best to accommodate us. That worked fine for us bc we were not in a rush. The woman who did our services was fantastic, we both left super pleased. A few days later I had an itch to get a full set done on my nails, called, they fit me in, and I couldn't be happier! Linda was awesome, she listened to exactly what I wanted, and is definitely a master at her craft. Every manicure I have gotten from here has been great. I don't go very often, but if I'm going to get a manicure or a pedicure, I get it here. I wanted a curved set of nails and could not find anyone in the Raleigh area that knew how to do them. Ms. Trina to the rescue. She build up the curve on the nail, so ingenious, of a natural curve tip and made it look like the BOMB, just like in the 80's and 90's. Did a nail dip. This is not my regular place. And I wish I stuck with my tried and true. These services are expensive and to go back to my place for a redo is worth it. There's ridges along the edges of my cuticle from product ( not filed correctly) my nail is exposed on the sides which creates a whole bunch of issues from lifting to tearing my natural nail. And it took 1.5 hours... which is CRAZY.... The woman who did my nails was very sweet. But lacked experience for sure. read more

"The man" that did my 20 year old daughters toes and finger nails, was "very RUDE" and he was pulling on and even slapped her hand, saying that she was holding it wrong. He insisted for her to look somewhere else and to not watch him. He didn't listen to what she wanted, they were THICK, and the polish was bubbly,, and he did such a terrible job, that even after paying 55.00 for the service, we went to another nail salon and paid again to have her nails totally REDONE in the same day! They don't listen to what you ask for, and they do whatever they want, and act as if they don't understand you, and they give you up charged services that you don't ask for and then say it's too late now, you have to pay. . They seemed to only care about getting the NEXT CUSTOMER in their chair, instead of making you a returning customer! read more

This was the first establishment I went to for a manicure and pedicure when I moved to the area. It wasn't amazing and it wasn't terrible. It was just okay. Being here for a while now, I have been to DJ Nails several times and my idea of the establishment hasn't changed. I am generally always greeted, however, there have been times I have not been serviced for 20-30 minutes after my arrival. I have had my eyebrows done here by Trina and she always does a great job. However, my manis and pedis are generally pretty shoddy. I had a gentleman do my nails here and left pretty upset because my manicure was so horrible. Overall, depending on the nail tech you get, you can leave satisfied or pretty angry. (However, I have not found any other nail shop in the area that has done a better job, and since they are convenient I have stuck with them.) read more

I love supporting local businesses, but unfortunately, I won't be back. I'm not a nail snob by any means and don't regularly get my nails done so it's not like this review is based on comparison to anywhere else. I made a reservation for two other friends and me to get pedicures on a Saturday. We get there and of course they're busy...it's a Saturday...which is why I thought a reservation would be a good idea. Apparently, having a reservation means nothing because we waited about 20-25 minutes before being seated for our pedicures. I paid a little extra for a deluxe pedicure, but honestly I don't know what was extra since my friends got the basic pedicure and it was about the same...maybe some extra lotion? I wouldn't waste your money. Anyway, the woman cut my toe so all of the stuff she rubbed in burned. The polish job wasn't superb either. Wish I could've had a better experience. read more

Bad experience. My skin at the base of my nails were cut with the dremel used to drill off my cuticles. One finger got infected and I wound up at the Dr. On antibiotics and warm salt water soaks. I'm diabetic so any infection especially on my fingers or toes is very dangerous. I wont go back!!! read more

had gel nails done. went home, noticed one nail was messed up. had a bubble in it. 2 days later, nails started messing up. the girl who did my nails told me they last longer then the acrylic nails. WRONG. Its been 3 weeks and my nails look horrible. I have NEVER had this problem EVER. Not even that, I had to wait too long to get these done & on top of that they only have 2 people working there? very unprofessional. would much rather go to #1 Nail next to roses in Fuquay right down the road. I went there afterwards to get a pedicure and my toe nails still look the same & I got french tips! unbelievable! read more
