I took a break from nail salons for several months and decided to pop in to my local salon for a regular manicure and eyebrow wax. I was dad to learn that my regular tech left before Thanksgiving. The owner and one other tech was working. As usual, I was able to get right in. I requested a manicure with regular polish. It was ok, nothing special. The massage was minimal. I've gotten regular manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, and waxes at this salon for the past year and a half, but when it came time to pay, I nearly had a heart attack. Eye brow wax went from $12 to $15- that I can understand. But a manicure with regular polish (that's been sitting there for quite some time) went from $25 to $35!!!! The manicure was NOT worth $35. Sadly, I won't be back to overpay for a mediocre manicure. The owner is sweet and I wish her well, but those prices are North Hills prices, not Fuquay. read more

WORST MISTAKE EVER.... literally the worst service I've ever had. Service was rushed and the technician was lazy, Incompetent to say the least. SNS left my nails clumpy and way too thick to look natural and several mistakes were made through out the process which she just covered up with more layers of dip powder hence the thickness... Normally I don't waste the energy leaving a bad review, but not only did I get the worst dip powder manicure I've ever had, but she over charged me by $5. She clearly stated it was $40 as the sign also said, but when I looked at my receipt, she took it upon herself to charge $45. Not even 3 days later, my nails are even worse than when I left as they are peeling and lifting. She barely filed, left glue crusted on my fingers, didn't push back or trim the cuticles, etc. Avoid at all costs! read more

I usually go to Lee Spa in Holly Springs, but I decided to give this place a try...word of advice- stick to the rivers and the lakes that you're use to. The ladies were kind, but the experience and quality was not great. During my pedicure, I got nipped on my toes twice and bled, the whole process of being clipped and filed was painful. When she buffed my feet, it was so hard that the side of my foot started peeling and left a scab which will probably leave a little scar. The massage lasted all of 2 minutes- if that. The scrub they use was so rough that it left scrapes on my legs and burned when I showered later that night. Some of my toe nails were clipped and filed slanted, luckily my nails grow quickly. Lastly, the painting looked as if a child did it. It was not relaxing at all and I was not satisfied, but I paid anyways to avoid confrontation. I will not be going back. read more

Angel nail is crooked. Don't go there. Was charged $60 for a manicure which didn't happen. Nails were left with dry skin and cuticles not trimmed. Nails were left broken and ragged. Pedicure was worse! Would not take dry skin off feet unless I paid an additional $10 which I refused! Polish looked like a 5 year old did it. Left looking worse than when I came in. Annie--the owner--is wonderful. She offers complimentary sodas and wine--and a relaxing quality mani-pedi experience. If you're in a hurry, tell them. Otherwise you will enjoy a longish mani-pedi experience (which I like). Been going to Angel Nails for 10+ years now. It's always nice to go to a local shop where you know the staff. I ALWAYS make an appt--never just walk in. And I never get the most basic pedi. The extra few dollars to bump up to leg scrub and massage is worth it. So ask to see the services menu! Please read the reviews about nails not lasting long at all. I wasted my money getting a French manicure with a design. The design was crooked and not even but I was nice and let it go then not even an hour later the gel was coming off I went back and the tech blamed it on my nail being thin but my nail didn't even break or anything she glued the part that came off back on!!! The next day more nails did the same thing so I went back another tech took off she kept going on about my nail being thin and needing more calcium but that's bull if the only thing coming off was the polish. So I just politely said just give me a refund they literally took off all the polish in all nails and she said she could only give back $15!!! So ridiculous over something that she didn't do right but said it wasn't her fault that it was bc my nail was thin like girl please. This is my normal nail place but my last visit was a disappointment. Mani pedi and tip was $100 and my dip polish cracked in 2 days. I went back and they fixed the 2 damaged nails for no charge. Now 2 weeks out and mote nails on both hands are cracking and peeling. Dip polish should not do this. I dont know if it was the product that was defective or the manicurist just didnt do it right. For what they are now charging I'm going to look for someplace else to go. I feel like I waisted $100 read more

I went to get my nails done at this place and my experience was absolutely horrible and I didn't even get my nails done. When I walked in I was asked what I wanted done and to sign in. Angel Nails is another of those seemingly strip-mallish nail salons that pop up here and there, with the focus more on price than customer service. Not so at Angel Nails. It's a great place. And I think the prior reviewer moved the service levels up a few notches. This is my fourth visit. The staff are friendly and highly skilled. They have a vast - I mean HUGE - array of regular and "shellac" polishes. The pedicures and manicures are top notch, even compared to larger cities I've visited and where I've had mani/pedis. Yes, the interior is too bright (overhead fluorescent lighting of the Walmart variety) and decorated rather garishly, but the service, quality, people and price is spot on great. I highly recommend this nail salon. They also offer waxing and other services that I haven't yet tried but will. And the TV was off...the music was very relaxing/chill and I got a great neck massage to boot. read more

I'm here now bc if I wait I'll forget to review. So far so good, not the best service I've ever had but it's pretty good. Typically I'd like to talk with my technician but he seemed to be very focused and not a fan of conversation, also in not sure he spoke conversational English. I got a deluxe pedicure and it was quite good. It wasn't rushed at all, but this tired momma could always use more time in a massage chair and more time having her feet rubbed. Price wise, it's compatible to any place in Raleigh or Cary for the quality of service. I walked in a little afternoon on a Saturday before schools started back and I was able to sit down immediately. I'd imagine its busiest during wedding season so I'd prob call and make an appointment. All in all, I'll come back and prob bring a friend. read more

The correct answer should have been there wasn't a wait to sit in the actual chair but the wait to get a pedicure was 25 minutes (& there were people/employees available but it wasn't their "turn in the rotation"). The water actually got cold I sat there so long. * 7 chairs, only 1 was occupied (another lady sitting at the very end). I'm placed directly next to her. Why would you do that? Spread us out! * I understand English is not their first language, but I felt like Elaine from the Seinfeld episode..... I've been in a lot of spas (not that this is a spa by any stretch) but the constant chatter, laughing, exchanging of looks, etc is unmatched in this particular place. * total disregard for their customers. The aforementioned 'chatter' was loud and absolutely constant. Even had an Asian speaking soap opera on the tv - and again at a loud volume. Mind you I do not want them talking to me but maybe just keep quite & attempt to add a tad of atmosphere to the strip mall joint. * the actual pedicure itself was just okay. Very pleasantly surprised. I am very picky about my nails and normally go to another place.. but I was waiting on my car to get done at Meineke and needed my nails done badly. My nails look awesome and the technician was very fast as well. Some minor confusion, when I walked in I asked for just a polish change and was told 25$, the nail tech did a full manicure and it ended up being 30$, but my nails looked so great I wasn't really too upset over 5$. They did not use bond aid prior to the base coat, which I'm hoping won't lead to early chipping, this was my only reason for less than 5 stars. read more

I was not impressed. Customer service was not there. I came in to get a full set and I left with a crooked full set. They did not touch my cuticles at all. I'm highly disappointed. well.. there's only like 3 workers there at least when i went there there was only 3. But they lady that did my nails she kept attending to people who would just come in and she was would say yes and tell them to sit down. she wouldn't say no to anyone not even a come back later. she would leave people y attending and try to jump around. i had to leave early but my mom stayed bc the lady had JUST started working on her nails right after she finished me she was unattended for about an hour and 15 minutes!! she just sat there. and when i left once my mom got home she told me about this lady that had gotten to the nail spa right before i had finished(that lady was getting a pedicure so the lady that wouldn't say no told her to go sit down at the foot stations and one of the other lady turned some water on for her and placed her feet in it). she told me that she didn't get service until AFTER she finished with my mom which wasn't until an hour later!!!! she said the lady's feet had gotten all wrinkled. i do not recommend this place. If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is an utter disappointment. First, let me just say that as a professional hardworking person, I'm not typically one who sits around and has pity parties. As a person of color, living in this day in age, it's terrible to say that racism is alive and well. I definitely experienced this today while at Angel Nail. My sister, my niece and I were literally pushed out after they got a flood of non-persons of color to come in. They did not complete the services written down on the paper. We took my niece to get mani/pedi for her 7th birthday, and she left with nothing but a rush job of painted nails. My sister was supposed to receive a pedi with French tip, she was so disheartened by the way we were being treated that she literally did not want them to touch her. The workers acted very oblivious to what they did when we calmly addressed them about it after we paid. Needless to say, We won't be returning for services. I love everyone regardless. The gel fill in was awesome but I was SHOCKED at the price! I have NEVER paid $45 for a fill in. I got and type of polish which was an extra $5 so the fill in was $40. When there for a pedicure, my water was way too hot, so in an effort to cool it, the bowl got over filled. The technician, rather than drain some water, took a bowl & scooped some into my friends bowl next to me. As if that wasn't bad enough, she proceeded to scoop more out and put it into the bowl on my other side. Shortly after, someone came in and sat there. I don't think sharing "foot water" is something that should happen even with friends, much less strangers! read more

On 3/5/2016 I went to what I thought was the best nail salon in Wake county. I'm an African American lady. As soon as I got there my favorite nail tech, July had just arrived. I wrote down and told her I wanted a gel fill in and a manicure. I had an intense week with family and working extra hours. I went there for a hand pampering. I sat back and relaxed in my seat. As July was doing my nails I noticed she was constantly pulling my arm. I said this suppose to be a relaxed experience. She commented, I'm short. That irritated me because I had to sit up to accommodate her. Then another lady came which was white. The lady did not appear to have a pleasant attitude. Evidently, July was her favorite nail tech as well. It was at that moment July began to rush what she was doing on my nails to the extent I had to say what about my manicure. She said oh, it really don't need it. I said yes it does and it seem as though you're rushing my nails to accommodate that lady. She did not comment. She did a light trim and was done. I was so visibly upset that the chatter in the salon ceased. Needless to say my nails were not of quality and I was charged $7.00 for the light trim. Since I have been in Fuquay Varina this has been my second experience of being treated like a second class citizen in a nail salon. I will NEVER go back! read more
