Great experience with DJ Tanveer at our wedding. I'd already been to two prior weddings that hired him, and both had really fun dance floors so I already knew we'd have a great experience. Tanveer is great at blending Bollywood and Western music to keep the dance floor going, and we got several compliments after the wedding about how good our DJ was. In addition to this, he did a great job with musical cues at certain key parts of the ceremony, MCing parts of our wedding (eg announcing the grand entrance, the first dance, etc) and rolled with the punches with a last minute music request. My wife and I hired DJ Tanveer for our wedding Sangeet, and from the very first conversation, we knew it was the right decision. From the start, DJ Tanveer made us feel completely comfortable. Unlike other DJs who pushed back on that idea, Tanveer was totally on board, even allowing us to customize different playlists for different parts of the night. During the event, we had a series of performances--including one that involved an interactive skit with the DJ--and Tanveer played along flawlessly. Tanveer was awesome!!! We hired him for our wedding reception and pre-wedding and event and he was incredible. It was very easy getting in touch with him and ironing out details. We requested a lot of specific Bengali songs which he had no problems incorporating. He also brought lighting to our reception event which really elevated the look of our ballroom, and the photo booth was a hit with all of our guests. This "DJ" is unreliable, unseasoned, and very unprofessional. If there's one thing I can take back from my special day, it would be hiring this DJ.   Prior to our event, we spoke with Tanveer multiple times about our schedule and what we expected.  We provided him with a very detailed schedule with exact times and songs that we wanted to be played during special moments of our event. He completely failed at my entrance as a bride-to-be. You could imagine I was devastated. I've always dreamed of this moment, and this DJ took that moment from me. He did not perform as expected, hence, unreliable. Moreover, he had us pay extra for fog during our engagement dance, but never even did it. He was suppose to bring in an extra laptop for us to have a monogram and failed to do that as well (again, even after multiple texts and emails confirming with him). This DJ is extremely unseasoned and lazy. I found it odd that he had asked us for a "must play songs list". Why? Shouldn't this be the DJ's responsibility? Shouldn't the DJ just ask us what we like and maybe get to know the couple? He didn't play anything in addition to the list that WE provided him. So in that case what was the point of having him? I don't understand all these past reviews he has with high ratings. I give him one star for honestly showing up. Other than that he's unprofessional. He was rude to my father-in-law (now hearing). He got into an altercation with one of our guests. Even the venue's event coordinator got on him for being unresponsive. After which, we had an open discussion with Tanveer about the miscommunication. His exact words were that he was going to show up to our event "salty". Which, honestly, he did that evening. To my future bride's or brides-to-be, please save yourself the stress, let-down, and money and please go with someone else. Just because something looks good in words and picture doesn't always mean it's the best. read more

My wife and I chose DJ Tanveer for our three day wedding. He was our DJ for our Sangeet, Baraat, and Reception. Best choice we made for our wedding! Our wedding guests included many Punjabis, Americans, and Spanish speakers. He did a flawless job of mixing together Bhangra classics with American pop/electronic songs, and throwing in reggaeton and salsa too. So many guests gave us compliments on his music, keeping the energy going for three days of dancing. Tanveer was extremely easy to work with--he showed up to our events very early, and always had his setups ready to go well in advance of our events. We provided a small selection of songs to convey the vibe we wanted for each event, and he filled in the rest. His lighting set-ups were great as well! Our Sangeet was in a warehouse/large event space, and our reception was in a country club. Both looked great with Tanveer's uplighting and intelligent lighting systems. From a groom's point of view, I was very disappointed in DJ Tanveer's behavior, delivery, and performance. It was saddening to see the dance floor empty out multiple times throughout the night due to the DJ's lack of understanding. It was clear that he had not taken the time to review the event's details, audience preferences, nor any of the special requests that were made beforehand. This lack of preparation translated into random transitions without any cohesiveness. It was evident that he was making on-the-spot decisions without any consideration for how the music would flow and engage the audience. He failed to connect with the crowd. As the groom, I was very detailed with him about what our expectations were and what we depended on him to bring to the table. He did not deliver. It was evident that his emotional state was affecting his ability to deliver a professional and engaging set. He seemed disinterested in feedback and didn't respond well to requests. His overall attitude came across as indifferent, which created a big disconnect. The DJ's emotions seemed to overshadow the music, as he appeared distracted and unable to fully connect with the audience. His interactions with the crowd were minimal, and when he did engage, it was clear that his focus was elsewhere. This lack of engagement left the attendees feeling disconnected and uninvolved in the event. This inconsistency disrupted the flow of the event and made it difficult for our guests to fully enjoy the music. Moreover, I felt this DJ's primary focus was on maximizing his financial gain rather than providing a quality service for the event. When discussing the pricing, the DJ initially agreed to a certain fee, which was already established and agreed upon via contract. However, there seemed to be hidden fees for everything. It was evident that he was more interested in collecting additional fees than in delivering a memorable performance. This lack of enthusiasm and engagement was disappointing, especially considering the high fee he had already collected from us. On the day of the event, he further tried to charge us an additional fee, which was never agreed upon by myself. This led to an altercation with the DJ and one of our guests. The situation left a sour taste for us, the venue manager, and the attendees. Please be careful when choosing this DJ for your special event as it can have very deep, negative impact on the overall event experience. The only reason we chose this DJ was because our venue required us to do so, and DJ Tanveer was number one on their preferred vendor list. I hope our venue will reconsider this imposition of such DJ's for future events and reassess their DJ recommendations. read more

Then on the day of they hit all the cues for the ceremony. But the main part of the review is the actual reception DJing. Dinner vibes were so good, as we had multiple people come up to us say "The DJ is killing it!!!" And I'll save the dance floor videos for our private collection, but let's just say all ages were dancing for a solid two hours between Bollywood/Bhangra, Reggaeton and Hip Hop banger after banger. We originally booked DJ Tanveer in October 2019 for our planned wedding in September 2020. Due to Covid-19, we had to reschedule our wedding to September 2021. Tanveer was incredibly flexible and helpful in making sure our original contract was honored and that he was available for our wedding. In addition to the music, Tanveer provided all of the Mandap furniture as well. We had no issues with the furniture delivery, set-up, and clean-up and Tanveer was extremely efficient and responsive in providing answers to any questions we had regarding the furniture. In regards to the music, Tanveer was amazing the entire evening. He assisted with ceremony music and microphones for the officiants, music for the cocktail hour, and then music for the entire evening reception. We provided Tanveer with a list of songs that coincided with certain entrances or dance peformances and he had them play effortlessly. Throughout the reception, Tanveer played an amazing mix of American, Latin, and Indian music (as per our request) and knew when to focus on certain music and when to read the vibe of the dance floor. I hired Tanveer for my wedding, which was a mixed desi/jewish wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. He felt out the crowd and what they wanted and played just the right mix of all types of music. The way songs flowed into one another was perfect. Many guests told us that the music/DJ and the energy on the dance floor was one of the best they'd experienced at a wedding. Tanveer is an absolutely amazing DJ!! After seeing him at a relatives wedding, we knew we wanted to hire him for our wedding. We hired him for our baraat, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. He played great music, kept the crowd pumped and we received numerous compliments for him. We had planned to connect one final time before the day of to go through all the song details and exactly what we wanted during each event. So much was happening in the one week prior that we just kept missing each other due to conflicts and some personal things that came up for me. It was the night before and I realized we still hadn't spoke, I thought I was screwed. 10 hours before our baraat, at 11pm, I decided to give him a call since he told me to call anytime. He picked up right away! He was completely understanding, calm and ready to listen to every thing I had to say. We spoke for almost an hour going through every single detail and everything was set. My husband and I are not very picky about certain things and we left those up to Tanveer's discretion and he knocked it out of the ballpark every time. I was open to suggestions for other things and he offered an array of options for me to select from. I was incredibly grateful. At the last minute, we decided we wanted a dhol player. A dhol player was an option in Tanveer's list of services so I messaged Tanveer. He replied saying he called his contact and he was available for our day. Tanveer shared the contact with me and he was just as responsive. Got him booked within a few hours! The up-lights looked amazing, the fountain sparklers were a hit, the music got everyone dancing. He listened to our every need and answered every single one of my million questioned I pestered him with. He keeps the club jumping all night and people come up to me all night and say this DJ is awesome! I dont think I have ever got that many positive comments about any of my DJs. People simply love him! Besides being good at what he does, he is very professional. He is on time to all the events, very quick with all messages and calls, and listens to what I tell him. He does what I ask him and always over exceeds my expectations! He knows how to ask the right questions that even I might forget at times. The one thing very important to me, he is up to date with the latest songs!! His song collections are with the latest as well as old, but for my club events, he knows whats good in Bollywood, Bhangra, & Top 40s...old or new, he has it! If for any reason he doesnt, he never says no. He says, sure I will get it! Awesome "can do" attitude. Tanveer knows what it takes to please the crowd which is very important for my events. His super friendly and patient personality is a cherry on the top! I have always heard amazing feedback for all other wedding/birthday gigs he has done. A little overdue on writing this review but I wanted to ensure both my Husband and I can collaborate to leave this review for Tanveer. Where can I even begin with him. He is just absolutely the BEST DJ I know (instead of hands down I'll say Hands up because that was everyone the whole time during our wedding LOL =P ). Our families can vouch for that as well because they all loved him and want him to play at their events as well. I've seen Tanveer DJ at a few places but to have him play at our wedding was the best decision my husband and I made! Tanveer and his Dholi kept our dance floor full and going until the lights went on and that means something to us because music is what brought my husband and I together so to see him bring our loved ones together under one roof, having the best time of their lives was beyond incredible. Tanveer recently DJ'd for my engagement party and wedding, and he did an amazing job! We had an Indian and Mexican fusion wedding, and one of our concerns was that the music wouldn't be engaging enough for the whole group the entire time. This wasn't the case, and many of our guests from Mexico repeatedly commented on how seamlessly Tanveer was able to mix Latin and Indian beats. There was never a dull moment on the dance floor when guests stood awkwardly or just left. The only real criticism I have is that he didn't play much of the music I requested, and I would have preferred less "top 100 pop" songs. No biggie in terms of overall party experience, but it would have been more special for the groom and I if he had done so. He kept the party going and obviously the mobile baraat service was a huge hit too. We'll be happy to have him DJ at our future events. read more

We selected DJ Tanveer per our planner's glowing recommendation (planner was the amazing Denise of Denise Lillie engagements). DJ Tanveer was extremely responsive and easy to work with. He oversaw the music for dinner (which we had made a specific playlist for with key songs spelled out for entrance and speeches transitions) and mixed music for the dance floor based on our fave artists and direction as to Hollywood/Bollywood breakdown. Unfortunately, our speeches ran WAY over cutting 30 minutes out of our dance time. However, DJ Tanveer picked up the speed and mixed the music such the short dance floor time felt lengthened. He was able to keep the energy level high and most people on the dance floor during the compressed time. He also provided a photo booth and props, which was a hit. The photo booth was well priced and given our short timeline, he was willing to reduce the minimum hour/fee for it. I was told the photo booth was on the "basic" end of the range, but it was everything I expected it to be...a free standing booth with a background and some fun props. It was not manned but to be honest, you don't really need someone to supervise a photobooth given how popular they are...everyone knows what to do. We selected a guest book that had photobooth sleeves so it was easy for guests to slip a copy into the book without creating long wait times to do so (versus using tape). We highly recommend selecting DJ Tanveer for your wedding - ESPECIALLY if you are a mixed race couple. He was able to keep both sides of the family on the dance floor at the same time! What a skill. Furthermore, he refrained from making unnecessary announcements and did not have a hype man speaking into the mic (the WORST!)...I have been to some Indian weddings that feel as if it's more about the DJ than the guests and this is a pet peeve of mine.
