I was told $80 dollars on the phone and when I picked up my boy she said it was $97. The women had told me she put a pee pad in carrier just in case. It was on top of him not underneath. I did not think anything of it due to fact my cat was probably upset because he hates the carrier and hid himself under it. I left it alone and carried him to car. *(can't take cat out of carrier while at groomer). boy was I wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when I got home and let my boy out of carrier he was shaved. WTF????? He was supposed to be groomed. I am beyond mad. DON'T ever bring your beloved animal to this place. I can't imagine how they treat the animals when you're not there to see it. No one ever told them to shave my cat. I would never ask for that. He was not matted down and only had one small spot near his bum that needed attention. THE DECEPTION and lack of respect for my cat and myself is beyond my comprehension. please don't trust this establishment. If you love your animal as much as I love mine don't trust this place. DON'T BE FOOLEDLIKE I WAS. Since sharing my story with others, I have found out a lot of people have been angered and taken advantage of. They are not there for the pets. They are there for the dollars. They don't give you what you ask for and are not honest people. I hope you read this and find another established groomer with good reviews. I wish I read all the negative reviews and spoke to people prior to trusting my beloved boy with them. please, please, please don't use Dj's grooming ever. Doris and Sheryl have been grooming every dog I have owned since 1987. They are absolutely the best. I just got two new dogs because my last baby passed. I brought them to DJ's. Client came to us last year under the name of S,,,,,,,,,. Booked an appointment this June under the name of C......... Appointment book indicated haircut. boyfriend brought cat in. We indicated that we had no name under C...... He suggested his name. We had no card under his name either. We remember the boyfriend as he works nearby. With three names we asked if we could make out a temporary card. He said yes. To verify we asked what services were to be done for the cat. He indicated haircut. Asked if lion clip or one length. Boyfriend left cat. We were to call him when services were complete. When client called she was upset, which we understand, however we cannot rectify or resolve an issue with unnecessary dialogue. Grooming terms are often difficult to interpret and that is why we questioned what services were expected. We are sorry for the misunderstanding. Although too late, we did find a card under the name boyfriend used last year. So there were three names. We went card by card finding the missing card under the original name given by the boyfriend. I took my Ace and Oakley to DJ's. The groomer I loved worked at Pet Valu and Pet Valu's all closed. I found her, but she now works an hour away. So decided to try DJ's...I was told $60 for a Cockapoo and $60 for an Australian Shepherd... I was told 3-4 hours, they called me 5 hours and 40 minutes later... I picked up the dogs and was in shock when the bill was the $60 for Ace, but $125 for Oakley, over double, because of his undercoat...I had a vet appointment with my other dog Rogan and didn't have time to argue...but it's been weighing on me and especially when Oakley still has matts behind his ears! So I called to complain... I was told that it was a fair price for what was done and she spent a lot of time on him and she's been doing this for 50 years... I asked at $125, should he still have matts behind his ears??? She said that she got bit that morning from another dog and her hand was hurting... and it was still hurting that day and she was going to go to the walk in clinic again and that's why she didn't do behind his ears... shouldn't I have been told that? And shouldn't I have received a call that they were going to charge me over double for Oakley? Very disappointed in the place and her and she finally said IF I wanted to call her and IF she had time at that moment, I could bring him back and she'd do behind his ears...she was not apologetic at all, guess she figured I wouldn't notice the matts behind his ears and sounded like she really did NOT want me to bring him back, otherwise, wouldn't she have made a date and time right then? I'm so very disappoinTed! I have 3 toy poodles that I take pride in. DJ Groomers Miss Doris it's simply time to retire. She chopped my dogs hair off and her reason for their poorly cuts was bc she claims they were matted. That's BS in my opinion. I have never been so upset in such a service. This is my third appointment going there and I was trying to give them the benefit of doubt, I didn't want to believe that they were doing such a poor business. I'm upset and very disappointed. if my request for poodle cuts were too difficult I would have appreciated them communicating this to me. At NO POINT did they express my request was too much. Negative 3 stars they mangled my cats front two paws , gave me a refund but that doesn't fix my cats pain in both her front paws they cut them extremely short , Where is you can't see nothing but nub when trying to see the nail. I made appointment for my 7 month puppy to be groomed.I went in person to make my appointment and the groomer assured me that she cuts the dogs hair so that it's kept fluffy and full.when I dropped off my puppy I told the receptionist to keep hair long as possible especially the face. So when I went to pick up my dog I didn't recognize him he was shaved down to the bone he's so skinny does not look like the same cavachon that I dropped off as he may have had some matting on him but I brushed his back and the groomer agreed that the top of his fur she could tell I had been brushed. why didn't she call me before she cut him down to the bone so embarrassed that I think he's going through anxiety I will never go back there they should have called I reiterate before they cut and ask my permission since that is not the cut I requested read more

This is the 2nd time i came here and the last. First time was years ago with my male dog and they cut his private, now i have a new dog and thought id give it a shot again. They not only shave to close and burned her on her side but i went in early and i saw the groomer grab my dogs neck and jerk it so hard. Now my dog is small and very timid. She was looking down and thats when the woman jerked her. I yelled to take her hands off my dog NOW! there was NO excuse to do that and she just gave me a look like OOPS she was caught.
