Tried calling DJ's Seafood around 5:50 PM to place an order. A lady answered the phone but never spoke, and it sounded like she set the phone down because it eventually went to voicemail. I called back seven times with no luck, so I decided to drive there. When I arrived, about six people were waiting. A lady came from the back, spoke briefly, and walked away. I stood there several minutes and no one ever took my order or acknowledged me, so I left. Very disappointing customer service. A simple greeting or acknowledgment goes a long way. read more

The portions are great and the taste was amazing. I got the shrimp and catfish with coleslaw. I forgot to tell him to fry the fish he'd but it was ok. The wait time was reasonable for made to order. They had tables to sit down but not somewhere I'd enjoy sitting to eat. The next time I'm in Prattville I'd go again. read more

This place used to be good. I called about hour and half before closing, and the phone was answered by a male. I told him for pickup and proceeded to order. Once I finished, he yelled they were closed and hung up the phone in my face. I called back to ask if they have adjusted hours so that I would know next time, and He Yelled I told you we closed and hung again. read more

DJ's has been a favorite for a while for us and grandparents. We have enjoyed the fried and boiled shrimp with fries. They are friendly to us and accommodating especially the owner. I wouldn't recommend it for a crowd to dine in - but there are some tables and chairs. Food and service are great! read more

This is not like your typical seafood place. Not only can you get food to take home and cook yourself but they also have a selection of food you can have made there and take away with you they're fried food so far everything I've tried has been amazing read more

DJ's seafood is a hidden gem, and definitely a hole in the wall place for some good southern fried seafood. My husband and I decided to stop by here on our way to ATL, and they did not disappoint. The guy was super accommodating and he was a jokester too. Food was good and price was super reasonable for the amount of food you're getting. read more

It's typical fried food. I had the shrimp platter and if quantity is what you are looking for this is it. Otherwise try something else.

This is a small family restaurant that I have been going to for many years with friends and family. No one has ever been disappointed! I have gotten great seafood from here before. Today I picked up some crawfish for my husband's birthday. I asked for enough to feed 2 people. They suggested 5 pounds, and brought 7. I don't eat crawfish myself, and did not know what to look for. (Learned a lesson). I paid close to 40 dollars for something that my husband, who is pretty easygoing, was so disappointed in he decided to take them back and ask for a refund. They refused to give him one. I have gone to this market 4 times now. The seafood I bought to take home to cook was good, but the owners or employees are rude and there was no fish or seafood in their cases. The air conditioning wasn't on and it didn't smell very appetizing. They went into the back to retrieve my requested selection as nothing was visible to the customers. Every time I ordered seafood there I was sold more than I wanted even after telling them it was too much. I know I could have declined to purchase their seafood, but they seem to be the only fish market around and we really enjoy seafood. I don't think I will return primarily because of their hostile attitude. read more
