It has now been 12 weeks since we ordered gates and accessories ($4,260) and copper caps ($400) from Pacific Gate Works. Gates and accessories were delivered damaged in torn boxes two weeks ago. Copper caps were never delivered. The salesperson simply instructed me to contact the owner, who did not respond to phone calls or texts. In order to support small local business, I might even have provided three stars if the damage was repaired and copper caps delivered by now. At this point, I must report publicly that the company defrauded us. They never delivered $400 worth of goods we paid for. They falsely advertised that $4,260 of goods as undamaged. The public should be informed about the expensive and punishing lesson we learned about the company.

Not a small job, and an emergency one, because she LOVED running around the neighbors' yards. Lucian and his Dad braved the elements on extremely short notice, and built an entire new fence (mostly in the rain) for a great price. They gave me lots of upgrades, like unknotted wood, and thicker footers, and were incredibly fast and efficient. Its beautiful. That should have been enough, but - no - then my about six months later my back neighbors got their own Bernadoodle puppy, and the two dogs decided they didn't want a fence, so my pitty figured out how to pound her head against the boards until they bowed, then get her jaws on the wood, and tear through it. Lucian agreed that metal roof panels attached to the back fence would probably work (either that or an electric cattle fence), so he and his son came back out with the panels, cut them to fit, and spent a day attaching them, which - it turns out - is not as easy as it sounds. Again, quick service and excellent value. This family business, NW Modern, is fantastic, and I highly recommend them. And yes - it appears the metal roof panels are working!
