I can't recommend Dr. Shimomaye at DMG enough! During my skin exam, she found a basal cell carcinoma that I never would have suspected. She performed the biopsy, confirmed the diagnosis, and removed it with great care. I'm incredibly grateful for her thoroughness and expertise. Our second visit with Melissa Janovitch, PA, was just as rushed as the first visit. They also claimed that a voice-mail message was left by the nurse regarding questions regarding a pharmacist after labs were completed, but no message was left. Still waiting on whether or not a prescription was filled on their end through our pharmacy after they had already said it was, but we have not received a call from pharmacy. I will have to contact DMG, again, on Monday. Communication on their end is definitely lacking. read more

Charged my insurance for a cosmetic visit that I was told wouldn't be covered by insurance, without letting me know. I didn't find out until I got my hefty co-pay bill by my insurance company which I'm currently disputing because the office refuses to fix it. So they double-dipped getting cash from me and the insurance company. Their logic for charging my insurance is that the practitioner (Melissa) answered a question I had about skin and volunteered to write me a prescription for it that I didn't even ask for as I was re-dressing from my cosmetic procedure. A prescription I never even picked up. Most expensive question I've ever asked in my life. Shame on this place for lining their pockets this way. Not to mention, I got an infection which has now left a scar after my cosmetic procedure because they didn't bother to give me any post procedure directions. I would say don't get seen by Melissa but the office manager and charge nurse are complicit as well. Avoid this office completely. read more

When my original dermatologist retired, they worked with me to identify a new provider that dealt with my specific dermatological issue. The doctors are always on time, well prepared, and caring. I get checkups for skin Cancer twice annually after malignant melanoma in 2002 . DMG has been very thorough in the exams and treatment of precancerous lesions . I 2018 Dr Vogel found a very small spot on my back and that turned out to be melanoma neat lymph nodes. It was successfully removed and lymph notes checked in several ways to make sure it hadn't spread . The cancer specialist said if it hadn't been caught it would have have spread throughout the body with very dire results . My wife has very good results with several early skin cancers caught early and removed over the last 20+ years. read more
