I skipped insurance to get in faster, paid out-of-pocket, and was told upfront the consult would run $150-$350. Fine. In the exam room, the doctor said she'd need a biopsy--asked again about cost, got "no more than $350." I agreed. Then came the surprise: hours later, they called to add $75 for lab work--never mentioned before. Still, I paid; I just wanted answers. Three weeks passed. No call. I chased them--first week, "it'll take time"; second week, same. Finally got results last Friday. Nothing since. Called Tuesday to follow up--turns out they hadn't even looked at them. Wanted another full visit just to discuss. After I said how frustrating this was--waiting, hidden fees, zero follow-through--they emailed tonight: a polite 'goodbye' claiming they tried everything--while admitting they never even reviewed her results until I called. They say follow-up is 'standard,' but apparently not when you're the one waiting. I get that clinics need to run, but this felt like money came first--every step. I made an appointment online and showed up on time. The staff asked for my credit card before I could see the doctor. I thought it was odd, and while signing the general paperwork, I saw that they would charge the card on file if payment was not received within thirty days. I saw the doctor about a lump in my back. She did not diagnose it. She said she can't remove it or do anything, but would send me a list of other doctors who might. I never received any information. I was in their office for less than twenty minutes. No follow up. My bill was $145. I cannot recommend this office or doctor. read more

The staff are the friendliest most helpful of the 30 Offices I have visited in last 2 years. Dr is probably the best dermatologist on the planet. I had seen 3 other Drs with no luck. She looked at me instantly knew what it was gave me a prescription and instructions and within days I a saw huge improvement. Having grown up at the beach starting in the 1950s, I've had the kind of sun damage over the years that you would expect - Beach Life ;-) I'm at a point now where body scans are a yearly health component and suspicious moles are usually biopsied for cancer issues. When most dermatologists are so busy they aren't accepting new patients, Dr. Krishna is all about new patients. She never wants anyone to wait more than a week before seeing her, and she is personable, professional, and accepting. She even took me in on New Year's Eve when I had shingles! I used to go to a larger practice in town (part of a chain) and while it was fine, it always felt very impersonal and it was clear their focus was more on upselling a variety of cosmetic enhancements. Disappointed. After driving for 30 minutes the doctor did not show up for my appointment booked 6 months earlier . This inspite of the fact that I had phoned the office that I was coming. Staff told me that they have a 5 minute cutoff policy and I was 10 Minutes late so they cancelled the appointment and the doctor left to do other errands. Very poor treatment by the staff! I had some darkened spots that look like moles. She looked at them and said they are benign and charges $200 to remove it. I had insurance, but she would not bill them. I declined and went to another derm. The other derm removed it in office without charging extra. Not great. read more

Do NOT visit this office! The Doctor is extremely unprofessional. While performing the skin exam chewing gum in my face. Then after she takes biopsy NEVER advised that the service is an extra payment. In fact she never even stated that this biopsy was necessary, but it was precautionary. I went to Coastal Pacific Dermatology for a follow up visit for a skin issue I've been having. Dr. Krishna came in after about 20 minutes of waiting and attempted to prescribe the same exact treatment that I received from her in my initial visit (which was completely ineffective). I told her that is not what I want, and I listed the medication I would like to receive. Dr. Krishna refused and said that she was not comfortable prescribing those particular medications. She did not ask me any questions about what I have been doing to treat my affliction (on my own) and she assumed that what she had prescribed for me was responsible for clearing my skin. As a whole the entire encounter felt deeply impersonal and that all I was to Dr. Krishna was another patient who is able to pay. If you're considering seeing Dr. Krishna I would advise you to save both your time and money, and go see an actual professional. read more

I have to say I am completely upset with this company. I went in to have a full body check and some spot removed. I was seen for a total of maybe 7 min. and was told that this service would be out of pocket since it was not covered. Ok, so I paid that, no problem. Then I get a bill for a completely unacceptable amount that was charged to my insurance (not disclosed when I was there) for the body scan, which btw was not disclosed upon leaving when I asked specifically what else would be charged. I have asked for the actual invoice to this (not just a text message with arbitrary amount) more than a few times via phone and email - crickets. Never once received that. I'm not paying it until I actual get a formal invoice - sorry. Today they charged my original payment card for this amount WITHOUT authorization. Total unacceptable business practice. read more
