Our pictures from the events were incredible, every kind of shot we asked for was taken. Our wedding ended up being during the first hurricane to ever hit Los Angeles and we had to move it within 24 hours, which was so stressful. Khatereh reassured us that everything would still be perfect and her videography staff would be ready and willing for our rescheduled day. And, because we had to deal with moving our entire wedding, she gifted us a drone video service as well, which was above and beyond and really speaks to how dedicated and kind her team is. It was a great experience - I was a total beginner and didn't know anything about posing for headshots. He made me feel comfortable and brought the best out in me with helpful tips and a seamless experience. The headshots were fantastic and I uploaded them to all of my casting profiles. These headshots have booked me multiple speaking roles in short films (one that went to the LA County Film Festival), a Super Bowl commercial, and multiple major modeling gigs for brands like Pacifico and AT&T. They've gotten me literally hundreds of auditions and callbacks. Over the last 10 years, I got additional headshots done by two other photographers (I couldn't remember Josh's name and hadn't bookmarked it). I still preferred Josh's original headshots over the others and kept using them instead of the newer ones. Finally, it was time for new headshots. I'd aged about a decade since those original ones I was still running. I researched some options on Google and found a portfolio I really loved - Joshua M. Shelton. I booked a session (for a great price) for four looks. When I was sent his address, it started to sound familiar. When I got there and met him again, I realized it was the same photographer from my very first session! I'd found the same guy from my first headshots without even meaning to. Needless to say the second experience was just as great as the first. Joshua really takes his time and makes you feel comfortable. She promised me she had a studio, but then, when we went to her "studio" it turned out to be an apartment building she didn't even own. She had me illegally park in someone else's space, and my car got a sticker on it, and I almost got towed. She doesn't have a studio. As a small business owner myself, I know the rules of the road and I know what I can, and can't do. She wanted me to trespass in a building that didn't belong to her. Then, out of nowhere, I hear, banging and yelling on the door... And it turns out it's her mom. Her mom was crying and screaming at her along with profanity. This is the most unprofessional experience I've ever had with a photographer. My clients include Sak's, Macy's etc. I will not be referring any additional models to her or getting her involved in my business with commercial clients ever again.

WOW!!!!!! I heart Vince... He's the real deal, peeps…read more I scheduled a 1.5-hour shoot with Vince yesterday and met him at his on-location site in Culver City. The outdoor area is beautiful with incredible natural light that Vince took full advantage of... 1.5 hours later, I had 2 burned CD's with 300+ images with 5 different outfit changes (I change fast haha :P ). I was blown away as we were looking at the raw images on Vince's Mac after the shoot. He is insanely talented with a true gift for bringing out the beauty in your core self... I'm normally not too comfortable in front of the camera but Vince made it easy and super fun with creative pose suggestions and helpful hints (i.e. sweet reminders to tuck in my tummy every so often, ha!). Vince has wonderful energy! Light, bright, sweet, fun, creative, and incredibly knowledgable of the art form. I researched him beforehand and saw that he's shot Snoop, Kim K., and a bunch of other celebs and musicians and am honored to have had the incredible opportunity to shoot with him as well. I HIGHLY recommend Vince to anyone interested in learning how to be an extraordinary photographer (he teaches classes and runs seminars on photoshop, shooting, etc.), anyone looking for amazing pictures (headshots, etc.) or video, and to everyone looking to be inspired by creating breathtaking images together. Not completely satisfied!…read more I booked a session with Patrick for a photoshoot, so I can submit to a modeling contest. Patrick is very nice, talented and very artistic. However, he doesn't communicate and does not give tips or directions. Now, I'm no mind-reader, so I have no idea when to smile, when not to smile, what pose looks best, which way to turn, since I can't see myself. I've worked with other photographers in the past and good photographers really knows how to talk to the subject. Because of this, my photos came out stiff and awkward. I ended up submitting photos from a previous photoshoot, got selected as a contestant and -drum roll please- landed in the top 3! My advice is to always interview your photographer first before working with them.

After a few more annoying weeks of exchanging emails, we finally booked our session. It was my intention to have photos taken in our wedding attire (for our 1st anniversary), but have shots taken in casual wear as well. This was acknowledged by Patrick via email, but on the day of our shoot it was suddenly an inconvenience to Patrick. Patrick decided that he wanted to go for an industrial look with all our photographs, despite our pleas to have photos taken at Grand Central Market. He offered little direction w/ our poses... so all our shots just look awkward. Not to mention the fact that we did not want to take pictures under a bridge for a "Matrix" effect (I got married in a backyard in a summer dress, not black spandex). We finally made it to Grand Central and it was closing... so there were tarps on most of the cases, which did not create very compelling backdrops. Patrick continued to be annoying and made every effort to dissuade us from being in there. However, the ONLY good shot we received from our session happened to be taken inside GCM. Go figure. We were rushed and bossed around for an hour. Patrick was annoying and flitty and could not stop gushing about how well Photo Poet was doing because of Groupon. When the proofs came back, we were shocked at how poorly composed all the shots were. Just an all around bad experience. Save your money and seek out a better photographer. I don't believe the website is not representative of their work.
