Dream Hardwood floors was one of the few available that could start work immediately, on top of that my price was very good considering the amount of work that needed to be done. I had some fill work that needed to be done because I demo'd a pony wall with no floor under it. There was also a really BAD patch job that the previous home owner hid under a gigantic couch that I never saw until the house was cleared for the keys to be turned over. On top of that, there was an area of the house that had a bad slope to the point where the floor split in an area because of it. Every contractor prior to Dream Hardwood floors would not give me a firm price on fixing the slope because they gave me every potential issue that that could come up and said they would quote me to fix it after they already got the job and started going into the floor. I don't know about you guys, but I don't like the idea of an open-ended contract. Anyway Humberto gave me a firm price, and got to work immediately. And when I say immediately, like...the following day before I even got him the deposit. I think the total job took a little over a week. The patch work where they staggered the wood was amazing, after it was all said and done you couldn't tell any patch work was done at all. There were some areas though where edges of trim for doors (wall trim was removed prior, but door trim was not) that ended up with some stain on it. That would probably be my only real "complaint". Other than that work was done great, there was good communication, and you can tell a lot of pride in the work. Humberto seems to have a genuine passion for flooring and wood which is nice to be around when figuring things out vs someone just looking for another job. I went with a 50/50 espresso - ebony mix. I LOVE IT! I will definitely use Dream Hardwood Floors again when its time for me to refinish the floors whenever that time comes up.

The estimate meeting was rescheduled three times because the estimator literally forgot about each meeting time. Never once did I receive any phone call or update letting me know they weren't going to show up or possibly be late. It was always me reaching out to get ahold of them and then getting apologies from them because they forgot. Sorry but three strikes and you're out. Pretty poor customer service in my opinion.

From the beginning, the service was excellent and the whole team was professional, respectful, and easy to work with. What really stood out to me was the way they treat their clients. You can tell they actually care, not just about the job, but about the experience. Max, the project manager, was amazing. He gave me a very calm and reassuring feeling from day one, explained every step of the process clearly, and kept everything organized and on track. That kind of communication is rare in this industry. The quality of the work came out great, and the whole process was smooth with no stress. On top of that, their pricing is very fair and reasonable for the level of work they deliver, which is something I really appreciated. At that meeting, we were told we needed to install flooring under the cabinets. After speaking with a contracting friend and two other companies, everyone said that was incorrect. This led me to doubt their professional knowledge and expertise. After the initial meeting, everything started going by the wayside. They missed appointments, were hard to get a hold of, and changed their story. We went from picking out materials to needing another appointment for the contractor to see the home. During the second appointment for measuring and seeing the home, they "measured" by measuring at an extreme angle. The contractor, in charge of demolishing our kitchen, demonstrated no knowledge in how to properly measure (it was NOT an area needing an angle to measure). That was concerning. They also didn't know the business hours of their own vendors. When we decided not to continue with FC Construction, they were honorable in giving us a refund. But when we called to remind them, the owner told us the refund was in the process. The next day, the main company line called and asked for our refund information to issue a refund. So it being "processing" was a lie. I didn't trust them to start any work, so I have no idea how their work is. But I wouldn't recommend based on the many red flags mentioned above. Kind people, though.

I was…read morelooking to have my master bath redone - new tub, tile on the wall behind the tub, expanded shower and tile and replacing the carpet (!) with heated tile floors. I am very happy with the quality of work and the finished product. Skyler was the project manager and Tony was the construction manager. They were very organized, the project started on time and ended on time. Every day, the workers were at my house no later than 8:30 and usually by 8:00. Skyler or Tony stopped by most days to check on the progress. All the workers wore masks, they cleaned up after themselves, they were polite and all did a fantastic job. I wish I could find a 'before' picture but here's one 'after' picture. The shower enclosure is still being fabricated. Also, if you have a chance to have heated tile floors, DO IT!! It is so worth the money.

We hired Sound Construction to tile floor and shower in a small bathroom, and we wouldn't hire them…read moreagain or recommend them to a friend. We had a really good experience communicating with the people at Sound Construction and working with Skyler (our project manager). Skyler was nice and personable and always quick to respond to our concerns. However, we had a lot of issues with the work done by the tile setting (our tile setters were Ihor & Milad). There were a number of things that they did wrong or poorly that we had to ask them to address. When possible, they were responsive to our concerns and spent a lot of time addressing things they did wrong. But, we were frustrated we had to spend so much time overseeing their work when really they should have done it right in the first place. There were many times it felt like we knew more about how tiling should be done, even though we're just humble DIYers and they're professional tilers. Also, the BIGGEST issue we have is that they applied the shower tile by spot-bonding. Once the tiles were set this way, it's obviously not possible to reset. Sound Construction responded to these concerns by offering to extend the warranty to 3 years, but we are still concerned about the longevity of the installation. In the end, we like how the tile looks but aren't very happy with how the installation was done or all the challenges in the installation process.
