I was up late wrapping gifts this past Monday morning when I heard a tapping sound coming from my kitchen. I went to check it out and found water running through the ceiling fan light fixture and pooling across my kitchen floor. Who do you call for such a problem at 12:45am? I Googled it and call the company with brand name recognition first and they told me they could be out at 9am. That wasn't gonna due so I Googled again and called the number of the company I'd never heard of but had good reviews. Kirk answered and after telling him my problem, he said he'd be right over and true to his word, he arrived at my home around 1:30am. His calmness helped me stay calm as he did an inside assessment; checking the kitchen, and bathrooms, then went to check things out from the backyard. It was dark, cold, and there was a lot of snow on the ground. He went to the top of the hill in my backyard and studied the roof and when he came back down, he told me that my problem wasn't the plumbing but with my roof. It wasn't his area of expertise but he recommended a good, quality roofer. For his time, honesty, and expertise, he charged me $275 and for a 1am emergency call I thought this was fair. He sounded very comforting and assured me that he would take care of this as soon as possible. We set up an appointment and not only was he punctual, he was also gracious, professional friendly and respectful once he entered our home. Our adult son was with me at the time and I observed how he interacted with him in a non-intrusive fatherly way, which gave me a sense of comfort. when I would find flyers on my porch from different handyman ,I would save them in my junk draw and I'm glad I did, because I went in my basement to find water draining out my water heater, the flyer I had was for do it right drains I had the flyer for so long I wasn't sure if they were still in business I called and spoke with the owner he was very professional, I explained my problem and he was on another job, he said he would try to get to me the same day and he did. he came with a mask ,he diagnosed my problem. My fiancée discovered that we didn't have any water,it was the day before Christmas. I checked on line for a plumber and found Do the right plumber.
