We door dashed our order. It was cold, lacked flavor and the garlic bread tasted like it had been made hours ago. Literally the worst pizza I've ever had. And I'm not picky when it comes to pizza! *editing in response: Door Dash delivered it within 45 of placing the order so it's 100% on the restaurant. The garlic cheese bread was so dry. All 12 pieces lifted off the cardboard like a frisbee. It's that's fresh then I got nothin'. The food should have at least been warm to the touch. Now, I'm not just disappointed about the food, but the inability to take ownership. Also one pizza and garlic bread order was $67 after door dash fees and my $8.50 tip. They don't have their own delivery service so Door Dash was the only delivery option. Terrible! read more

Husband was looking for some deep dish pizza and found this place. I however, was not in the mood for pizza. He said it was good, but the meat very scarce. I ordered the nachos which were a huge let down. A lot of them were burnt an inedible. There was barely any cheese on them at all and the chips tasted like Old Dutch Tortilla rounds. They were just kind of meh- burnt, no cheese, no flavor in the meat, jalapeños tasted odd. May try some of their other pizzas, maybe not. Okay place. read more

My favorite pizza place around town! Do North is a fantastic member of the Hermantown community with an extremely friendly staff and absolutely delicious pizza! I recommend starting off your meal with the White Out Stix appetizer and my favorite pizza is the Jalapeño Popper Pizza! I get it with no bacon and it is the best pizza pie I have had. The cream cheese dollups on the pizza are amazing with just the right amount of heat from the jalapeños! We dined at Do North multiple times since we enjoyed the food and service so much. At peak weekend mealtimes it can get a bit loud. First time at Do North Pizza. Absolutely wonderful pizza. Had a shrimp garlic x-larger. The crust is to die for. I believe it was a sour dough type. Emily, our server, did a great job. I've said this about other businesses too, but it just isn't right that cash paying customers are charged a credit card transaction fee. The fact that they don't remove that charge when cash is paid or just add the charge when they swipe a card is ridiculous and sleazy. On to the food, I've been there a couple times in the past few weeks. Once we got the Crab Rangood pizza. It was average, really nothing of note. We also got their cheesebread. This was really good, but the dipping sauce is very vegetable-tasting. The next time we were in we decided to try a deep dish. This was pretty much a joke. You basically couldn't tell the difference between their normal pizza crust and this one, except they had an edge crust on this pizza. I mean, it tasted fine, but it was not at all what you would expect from a deep dish pizza. This place is just ok, but going forward I'll most likely just go to Sammy's. read more

Very tasty pizza. Mine was an individual size (8") Pizza Margherita -- simple fare of crust brushed with olive oil then topped with sliced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and fresh basil leaves. Utterly delicious, though I wish they'd not been so stingy with the basil leaves. Still hungry after eating that flaky, crispy thin crust pizza, so I ordered toasted ravioli as a chaser. It was as good as any toasted ravioli I've eaten in the city of its origin, St. Louis, MO, where I lived for many years. Do North's standard pizza crust is also pretty St. Louis style -- flaky, cracker thin and puffs when baking. Only difference: In STL these pizzas are rectangular & cut into squares. I give the place two $$ signs because I had to spend more than $10 to slake my hunger. Also, I was there 7:30 p.m.-ish on a Monday, so place was pretty empty except for a painting (art) class meeting in a side room. read more

Very unique pizza options, and this is terrible... but I know we had a dessert when we were there and it was amazing, but I can't remember what it was. And, the restaurant doesn't seem to have their desserts listed on their online menu... so I can't use that to trigger my memory (bummer). Maybe it was the long day of hiking at Gooseberry Falls, the romantic atmosphere of Two Harbors in general, or the beer flights we had at Castle Danger prior to eating here, but this pizza tasted AMAZING! We ordered mozzarella sticks and a couple (more) Castle Danger brews while we waited for our Barbecue Chicken pizza to be done. The mozz. sticks were definitely not homemade, but tasted fine for something frozen and reheated. They had a couple of small TVs showing food network shows, and a very divey atmosphere. But the pizza was totally worth the wait and the venue! Loved the food, and had plenty to bring back to our hotel room for late night snacks. Would go back for sure! read more

The owner picks food up off the floor as we walked in, the store first opened for the day, the smart remarks being a wise guy is no way to win customers, the waitress did not bring water but asked us what we wanted to drink first, never brought water. The ceaser salad had 0 salad dressing, we asked for dressing and they brought out special sauce, not ceaser dressing after waiting over 20 minutes for it we still have not got what we paid for. The meat ravioli was dry and crunchy well over done, so we accepted the refund from the owner, from the smart remarks entering the place to him not being real about the ravioli not being over cooked to the high price for the meal for 2 we wont return. The pizza ingredients are fresh tasting but paying over 22 dollars for a large pizza with too much cheese is to rich for our blood.
