I chose this dry cleaner business due to how long they have been in business. However they were a true disappointment when I relied on them right before a trip. I was surprised when dropping my garment off Saturday that it wouldn't be ready until Monday--inconvenient but okay, its all about what time you drop it off. Staff was polite. I didnt know until after work Monday evening that they didnt even dry clean my garment because they didnt notify me until Monday morning and they only texted me instead of calling me (and I couldnt hear the text) to say they needed my approval to use a cleaner on my dress due to the type of garment and that I needed to give approval not to hold them liable if they ruin it. I did not want my dress ruined so I called and said I didnt give permission and would be picking my garment up. When I asked why they didnt just tell me this when I dropped the garment off, the worker said the owner made this decision. So because staff couldnt determine this on their own, my time was wasted with nothing done and I had to work on the dress myself to remove the stain. This business may be fine if you dont need your garment right away and if you are dry cleaning garments that dont warrant them telling you 1-2 days later that they want your permission not to be held liable for cleaning it due it possibly becoming damaged. My dad happened to go to the same company at a different location and also had a negative experience. He is 85 years old and the pick up was automated and there was no worker there. He had a difficult time and had to ask for help from another customer. Bad business not to have staff there and expect your customers to use the automated system. 0 stars. I hand you a coupon that says 10 percent off 4 items or more. 2-piece suit over $30 to clean 6 white shirts. So, for a bill that was $65.71. 10 percent off is $1.20 off the total bill. Not going to argue, just would not recommend. This is not my first incident with this location. The best dry cleaner in Cleveland, (I can't believe they aren't the only dry cleaner in Cleveland). The work is fast, my shirts looked better than when I bought them. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They even replaced a missing button on my shirt free. I haven't tried it yet, but you can drop off your cleaning and pick it up 24 hours a day. read more

I sent a white cotton dress in with just a little dirt on it that I could have easily gotten out myself. I wanted it done well and pressed so I figured it was worth sending to the dry cleaner. After spending 13 some dollars on the one item, it came back to me in almost the same condition I had dropped it off in. If I had known I would have just hand washed the item myself... The workers have a terrible attitude at this location. Every time I go in to pick up or drop off I feel like I am inconveniencing them. It's not like I am difficult or anything, I drop off about 8 button down shirts every couple weeks or so. I've been there about 7 times and don't think I've ever seen one of the employees smile. D.O. Summers is a small local chain of dry cleaners. This one is great! We used to use the South Euclid location, but after a very bad experience there, we decided to switch to this location. The staff here is usually pretty friendly, the drive-thru is convenient, and they have lots of coupons to print out on their website! They do a very good job. My only reservation is that the inside of this location is sometimes kind of dirty, but, oh well, that's what the drive-thru is for, right? read more

I've been a customer of theirs for over 5 years. My issue is they never provide a price for anything they do. When you get their receipt they don't itemize anything or show any coupon discounts you had. When we ask about the discount they always say it's there or they say they forgot and then apply a discount that does not show. I called their main phone number and dialed extension 104 for customer service. After leaving 3 messages at their main corporate number and getting no answer I had no choice but to leave this feedback. I have been going to the Chagrin D O Summers for the past ten years and have always been treated courteously. I wear a lot of suits for my business and clean them regularly.
