Absolute nightmare. Not only is this place overpriced, they completely botched my order. The suit was not ready when promised and I had to have it on day of pickup because I was leaving out of town. I had to pick up my suit 6 miles down the road. Come to find out the suit was not only not dry-cleaned but it wasn't even tailored, the chalk marks still on the suit. $208 for this? I will be expecting a full refund... should reimburse me for gas mileage for having to pick up my own suit. I understand things happen but this is just terrible. No phone call to tell me ahead of time and I even called in the afternoon before pickup. I'm not one to complain ever but this is truly an epic fail on the business and will never use them again. read more

Insanely expensive and takes months. I am furious with this business. I took a much loved Boden pea coat in because it needed a new lining. I was thinking maybe $50-75 for the job. The tailor (or front man) suggested a funky fabric that I found cool, and I left it with him - in July 2022. A month later, it was not done. So I raised my eyebrows, and said I'd return. The next time I stopped in was in early December. They charged me $240 dollars for the job! I was flummoxed - I love this coat, and the work had already been done. I had no way to prove what had been quoted to me, but I said I NEVER would've accepted the quote had it been over $100. There price was nearly twice what the coat had been worth, brand new. My client took two pair of pants to be altered last week cost $144.00. The cost of alterations are as much as the pants cost, too. We went to pick them up twice and they gave us the round around saying they were not back yet. Come to find out they never went out and were still in the store a week later. The owner never took ownership that he was wrong, but instead wanted to argue about me not being the customer my client is. I am my clients caregiver and it was an inconvenience once again to us both. He never has been held accountable for his actions of doing elderly people and others wrong. He has this attitude that he can say, do or over charge as he pleases. He has definitely lost a client for sure. We went back a third time and the pants were not there he says they were at the cleaners and should have been back. My client was Furious! He told him he is not coming back for his two pair of pants...DELIVER THEM TO MY APARTMENT TODAY! SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! DON'T PATRONIZE!!!! read more

Having moved here from NJ I was looking for DC. I was used to $5/garment there, or even $1.75 in Maryland. Customer service was invariably good to excellent. Not here. Not too friendly customer service, expensive!! Won't go back there. read more

They did a great job cleaning the items that I took to them. They even did alterations on my work uniform and I was pleased. I do have to warn you not bring anything here if you are in a rush to get it back. I dropped my items off on a Thursday and I was told it would be ready in about a week because of the alterations and I went back in exactly a week and I was told that it wouldn't be ready until the following day (which it was). Also don't go here if you are looking for a bargain! They are not cheap, but they will do an excellent job on your clothing so you get what you pay for! read more

At first I was a little nervous to go here based on the previous reviews, but I was in a bind and I bit the bullet. I wanted to have 3 things done: 1. Get measured for a Menguin suit for a wedding. 2. Have some minor fixes and alterations done on my suit, and 3. Have some items dry-cleaned. All 3 of these things were done wonderfully. The cleaning was a standard price for the area. The alterations were a fair price and were done well and the fitting wasn't charged for despite it taking some time. The staff was kind, courteous and quick. In addition to what I wanted to get done I learned that they do bespoke clothing through the store and I looked at a number of fabrics and had a great conversation with the owner about how the process worked. This was done only after my other services were completed well. This place was wonderful. I'm not sure why other people had issues, but they should try it out again. read more

I know that the previous review was not good. This is over 2 years after her experience. While the same two gentlemen mentioned (an older man and 'his son') are still there, I have had nothing but the best service here. Prices are in the range of all the ones in the area (I have a lot of business suits and shirts) and less than the closest competitors. Timeliness is important to me as well-in the past 2 1/2 years they have always been on time. I have a lot of suits tailored. They always do great work. One time, some of my shirts were wrinkled on the arms. I let them know and never had that happen again-- they are very responsive. Like many people in this area of Cuyahoga County, it is obvious after a short conversation with any of the employees that they are 'not from around here.' Knowing about a lot of cultures from my travels around the world, especially Eastern Europe, I can tell that what may come across as curt is not--it's just the way it is. I have never felt they were rude or curt. I have no doubt that they may have had days that were less than perfect, I feel they deserve another chance by the previous rater, who does say she always will try a place at least twice--out of fairness. I went to Chagrin Cleaners and Tailors to have a dress hemmed for a wedding. I was told to come back in one week and it would be ready. I returned at 1:30pm a week later and was matter-of-factly and without apology told that the dress was not ready and that I would have to come back another day. I returned later that week and another gentleman was there and I asked him if he could potentially take 10% off the price ($50) as I had to make another 20 minute trip (both ways) because the dress wasn't ready when they said it would be. He was indignant and said he wasn't the one who promised me it would be done and he had no affiliation with the other person, and when I pointed out that that was ridiculous he said that indeed the person I had dealt with was his son. I'm not easily irritated and would have been fine if they had either 1.) called the first time and told that my garmet wasn't ready so I didn't waste a trip 2.) apologized at any point in the whole interaction instead of acting surprised and indignant that I was upset that my order wasn't done when I was told that it would be. The actual hemming was well done, but the broken clasp on the dress was not fixed as they said it would be. Not a good experience overall, I won't be going back. read more

I will be in a bridal party next month. When I ordered my bridesmaid dress, I was told by the bridal store to order at least 2 sizes higher than my normal size so that's what I did. Three weeks ago, I tried on the dress, assuming I would just need to get a few inches taken off the bottom and perhaps have the top of the dress taken in. (I've been in several bridal parties before and have always ordered 2 sizes smaller than this dress- my normal size- and that was always the case prior.) It turns out I couldn't even zip the dress up past my waist. I immediately went to a tailor who was very nice but who told me the dress couldn't be fixed. She said the dress must be the wrong size. (Based on the sizing of the dress, I would need a dress 4-5 sizes up from my normal size.) I almost cried. I then went back to my car and looked up other local tailors. I came across this one. I immediately went there. Joseph looked at my dress and told me he could fix it. I was so relieved. I went back today to try it on and it fits PERFECTLY. Joseph is truly a miracle worker for me in this situation! I'm stunned that the dress is fixed. He did an absolutely perfect job and, in addition to that, he helped me to calm down because I was so worried about what I was going to do. Also, the price was incredibly reasonable for all the work he did on this dress. I will definitely be coming back! He is an EXCELLENT tailor! read more
