Came here for the hot lobster roll, aka Connecticut style. They also have maine style lobster rolls with the mayo too, if that is your thing. For $24 the sandwich comes loaded with a lot of meat and you get a slice of watermelon and a pickle. The guy hawking these fantastic sandwiches catches the lobsters himself. He is sooo nice. We also had some fresh oysters as well. There is plenty of street parking, both meter and non-meters and two small picnic style tables out front that each sit a pair of people. My first hot lobster roll and it was SO GOOD! For prepared food they just sell lobster rolls, cold or hot. I've only had a cold one before and wasn't impressed (in Boston). This place is terrific. Absolutely the freshest seafood you can find in Westchester. Takes a bit of getting used to -- the owner IS the sea captain. So they are catching fish during the week and ONLY open on Friday and Saturday and Sunday. The menu is pretty reliable and includes not just Lobsters but also the usuals -- shrimp, scallops, salmon, swordfish, tuna, etc. Everything is INCREDIBLY fresh and they can tell you what boat caught anything and where. prices are good. Basically it's a paradise for seafood lovers but only Friday to Sunday. And one tip is to sign up for their mailer -- which comes out every Friday and has the prices and availability of everything, so you know that they have a special on scallops or monkfish or tuna or whatever. read more

Since I'm catching up on more errands in the area these days, I made time for an early Friday lunch pickup. Seafood prices have undoubtedly gone up but Lobster Guys' prices are almost comparable to a fish market in Elmsford I visit at times and a top-tier supermarket in Harrison with very good quality seafood. So what makes Dobbs Ferry LG stand out even more so? Well, Dobbs Ferry LG's owner, Anthony is out on the water getting his catch. I initially came for Buttered Lobster Rolls but their fresh seafood also caught my attention. I gave Anthony at least 10-15 mins to prep my lobster rolls order and quite honestly, they were worth it. For me, buttered- not mayo Lobster rolls are one of life's greatest sandwiches. The meat is buttery, has a very subtle crunch (but not a 'crunch' in that sense) and packed real nice. I had also gotten a lb of Halibut at $29- which I can't complain. Hubs and I'd driven from home to BK just for Red Hook Lobster Pound's rolls in the past and other spots like them throughout the city- but swore them off completely for their processed taste and mealy lobster texture. I got a lobster roll which took about 15 minutes to make. It was small and the roll was lined with lettuce so that the lobster meat was at a minimum. Although tasty, the roll was very wet and drippy. read more
