I am confused... Who does what? When my sister and I signed up here for our Tacoma Wa. Apt. they enacted every possible way to get money from you without any refund (even if you should it was clearly not going to happen), but we knew that going in, which was a red flag of how they ran their business. We did a walkthrough on the second floor of an Apt. that was a 2 B/2B that may be set up different from the one we paid down on the first floor, but 2 bed and 2 bath nonetheless. Very clearly the first floor was the only option since we are in our mid 60s, I have had serious injuries plus my dog will be 10 in August. We were not granted a walkthrough of any kind for the apt, but were escorted to the example apt. three times to get measurements, so had no idea of it being just a bath and a half here. Trucks were waiting outside to unload, and I was on my way from Ca. It was suggested that we could just wait for the one we had been told we were already waiting for. "No we couldn't... Past housing was now gone, trucks and people rented, cable man coming, and I was far from home. So after the office talked to "corporate" it was determined that we would get a better rate, except I was already informed of that very number previous to the unveiling, so their making up for this blunder was worthless. The "new appliances" we were promised are old, loud and undersized. The fridge has weird sounds sounds like it is on its last breath, the very old and ridiculously small stackable washer and dryer are too small for even one person living there, and nothing at all resembling the set we were shown, though there is space for larger stackables, even though we were told there was not. The lent trap on the dryer may have never ever been emptied. It was beyond over flowing, even after maintenance came in to see why it took three hours to dry one load. My sister found the problem after they left it was far beyond the trap itself. Today in a nasty tone my sister was informed that the rent date for the 5th was for one month only and that they are surprised we even got in since we don't have twice the income of the rent. We both have fixed incomes and my sister works, so we do if you add the working income and far beyond that with the pension I will be receiving any day now. No it was not for just one month. I applied for permanent change and that was clarified in the ap and our conversation with management here at the time of Corporates agreeing to it. We asked specifically, so we would be sure. My fixed income can be up to the 5th day of the month before receiving it. For this reason I applied to their change of due date (the 3ed) to be "permanently" on the 5th. After some waiting for Corporate (whoever that is) we were told that was fine. We asked for paper proof from the office, but were told they have not received any yet, but we would be given it when they did. That was last month. So far nothing they tell us is true. Actually my bad... We did get on the first floor. The people above us were to get a first floor also, but after getting here fully loaded they found they too were misled and given the second floor instead of the first floor as asked for, with a two year old and a baby about to be born any minute, they were offered the chance to turn it down also. Imagine their joy, and then finding an overwhelming smell of mold in it. I have been in there and there is a problem, but no one seems to care at the office even with these small children at the time of my discovering it, and that was after a few weeks of their moving in. The keeping of the noise rules are nearly non-existent kids screaming outside at the top of their lungs for no reason, a pot party with a large lot of friends until 1 AM with adult sexual filth talk or should I say yelling also. This was their second party, but no reason to complain to the office, no one was there to call. Overhead siding on decks is hanging down in allot of places, and "I'm sorry" is an automatic mantra when talking to the office, but no changes seem to happen, though I have had them come rather soon to repair a few things and for the most part it was done. The list goes on, but my personal beef with this establishment are the outright lies, misinformation, followed with constant apologies, and the slanderous accusations that we could not afford to live here, and made it sound like we lied or forced someone to let us in. We both had high credit scores, to the point we got in here, bought new furniture and I bought a new car. We were honest with our income now and the income to come soon and more than forgiving with the first several misleading statements from this office. We now feel they are not happy with our/my truthful surmise of their inadequate running of this place, so are looking for a way to get us to move and still keep our money. Lack of communication and the tenants always have to follow up and never get a return phone call or a return email and this issue is regarding new tenants and current tenants. I guess the management company in the owners don't care about keeping good tenants or bring it on new tenants. Do not recommend this company!!! read more

I gave them my new forwarding address and they mailed my deposit check to the wrong address(an old address). When I called to ask about the status, I was told to leave a voicemail and I did. I followed up a week later, and was given the snarky response that personnel was out of office. I give it another week and it's still someone not being at their desk or out of office and was given an email. I'm not holding my breath about getting a response. I can be understanding and patient when people are out of office but this timeline is totally unprofessional, especially when the error started with their team. I will keep following Washington laws for escalation but will happily take it to court if the issue is not addressed so people in the future don't have the same problem. read more

They're the rental management company for 4425 Apartments in Gig Harbor, WA. They required a completed screening questionnaire before making a tour appointment. I completed the questionnaire and then they requested I get a cosigner even though I exceeded their income standards, before actuality seeing their unit, and before applying to rent a unit. I understand that there seem to be many disgruntal prior applicants/residents leaving reviews, but l have lived at a Dobler Management property (actually two) for the last four years, and they hold their residents to a higher standard. Yes, the screening has a few more hoops to jump through, but aren't you glad that your neighbors have all been through the same process as well, leaving you feeling comfortable when you are at home? ... Absolutely. The management has been more than fair reaching out monthly regarding payment plans for those that were struggling during the pandemic, still offering them currently, and I believe that it is due to them actually caring and wanting to have interactions and conversations with residents regarding their real life issues that they are facing. Being able to have options presented to you when you are open about your situation is like a million pounds being lifted off your shoulders. During the pandemic, the management frequently brought out food trucks to our community for residents to enjoy. They make no money off of this, they did this for their residents. To make them smile and feel appreciated, and it worked! Overall, I am very statisfied with my time residing at Dobler communities, I plan on residing with them as long as my orders allow. This company has jerked me around for two years, taken my application fee three times, and told me that I have too much debt to rent from them. I owe less than $2100 total, and paid off a car and two credit cards in between applications. My best friend had to threaten legal action to get off a lease with them, and it took three months after he moved out to finally get him removed from the lease. My boss who recently moved out had been trying to remove someone from her lease with Dobler for over a year, was told it was taken care of, only to have to deal with it while closing on a house after finding out that the person hadn't actually been removed from their lease! I absolutely don't recommend this company and can't believe there isn't a class action suit against them yet with how many times I have heard my neighbors horror stories. read more

I have been to many different offices while I was looking for an apartment, but I haven't experienced anything like I did today. I went to the terrace on meridian and the front desk desk lady was really rude. I asked her for more information about the unit and she said to send an email and she will answer questions there. I came all the way there just to be told to send an email. The whole reason I came there, because I have emailed them and got no response for a week. She showed her bad attitude in every possible way, rolled her eyes at my questions and I felt extremely uncomfortable after "talking" with her. If there are applicants having challenges with your online application, would it be too hard to sit with them and help them out? Not everyone is tech savvy.. Credit is almost perfect, 17 years of straight employment and money on hand...Why is there no help? Working for one of the biggest online search engines has its own languages and we would not expect you to know it, but by all means I would be more than happy to help anyone try to understand it. They're too big to care about tenants. Sadly they own so many apartment communities in Pierce County you're almost forced to live at one of their overpriced under maintained locations. Currently stuck at Orchard Crest where we have had pool/gym access for about a week total over the past 4 years. They can't keep apartment managers for a reason. They took away private parking and still charged us. Currently dealing with major renovations they didn't inform us about. They also don't bother to respond to email or voicemail complaints. I inquired about a unit at the Flamingo, went for a tour, was ready to apply that evening, but I never heard back from the property manager in regards to the question I had about move in costs. It's been a month and she never reached out to me. She had my number and email. After 3 years residency at Palisades Apartments (14701 c st. S, Tacoma WA 98444) owned by Dobler management company managed by Cheryl Malicoit community manager. first off let me say that the management is just horrible they have raised my rent 3 times this year alone. I have felt harassed by management by almost bi-weakly home inspections. you and your guests will be harassed daily for parking infractions. For someone who already deals with daily anxiety, management makes it hard to even take the garbage out. On three different occasions management gave me a 48 hour notice to enter my apartment. By the time she actually came it was at least two weeks after giving the notice her excuse was that she was inspecting Another Resident living here not on the lease. management has made me feel like a stranger in my own home and afraid to misstep on this "thin ice" I pay for. I would advise to rent from absolutely anywhere else other than a Dobler management company facility. read more

This management company has a rating of F on BBB. The rental offices are not staffed even though they say 9-12, 3-6. Offices are NEVER open. Phone calls never returned. If you are lucky enough to receive an email or phone call, you are told to put your name on waiting list by applying on line. Then if they "sort of" tell you there "might" be an apartment available regarding your time frame, you must apply on-line and pay the non-refundable $60 screening fee. This fee needs to be paid at each property you are interested in. You might be told there are several applications pending. It's on a first come first served basis which depends on how fast "Sound Screening" can process your application. Interesting fact.... Sound Screening is owned by Barbara Tucci, an associate broker for Dobler Management. According to Tenant Screening Laws in Washington, the average screening fee is $30-$40. Not $60. There are better management companies out there people. It's unfortunate Dobler manages so many of the communities in University Place. Just read through the reviews here and on yelp and on each of the properties that they manage....alot of negative reviews. Look elsewhere!! Good luck!! read more

I think I would rather be homeless than rent another apartment from this company. They will lie to your face, make up rules on the fly about what you can and can't do with both your balcony and parking, fail to respond to maintenance request, and sit there and tell you that if rent is due on a saturday (the 1st) and monday is a holiday, you better have it in by friday or there will be a late charge (never had a problem with this... but its just a greedy thing to say) And I will almost guarantee no one has ever got their deposit back from this company. They made shit up when I moved out and because it was obscure, weird stuff, and because it wasn't documented before I moved in there is nothing I can really do outside of refuse to pay and take the small hit to my credit. (prior water damage to the particle board counter top edge near the sink that they caulked to make it look somewhat ok) Just stay away... I consider this company equivalent to slumlords. read more

I have had the unfortunate experience of living in an apartment owned by the Dobler Management Company. The apartment when I moved in was a wreck. The blinds were broken, window lock did not work, the dishwasher was broken because of hunks of glass left in it, and the washing machine was soiled with the prior occupant's dirt. It took management at least 4-6 weeks to remedy these issues. I just had my partner fix the lock on the front door to our apartment because management took forever. shit Then after living there for three months, I came home to a bill taped to my front door. Apparently, new apartment manager, Debra, wanted me to pay $3.20 in refuse, even though refuse is included in my rent. And then Debra stated in the bill that if I didn't pay by the end of the day (I got home from work at like 6:30 p.m.) I would have to pay an additional $50 late fee. Of course, Debra was not in her office at that hour. I called the emergency maintenance number, but they were of no help. So I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint because I wanted it documented that I was contesting this random bill. Monique Carey from Dobler responded to by BBB complaint. It was riddled with lies. She claimed the old manager had sent me statements reflecting this outstanding bill of $3.20 in electricity. LIE. I never received any statements while Amber was manager. Carey lamented that I was one of those pesky tenants who over look the small things until they threaten with a late fee to get my attention. LIE. I have enough money to pay $3.20 if I truly owe it. Just show me in writing that I legitimately owe it. Carey claimed that Debra had an excel spread sheet showing I owe $3.20. The only sheet Debra has shown me, she herself admitted she did not know how it was written and what the different charges meant. There is a reason Dobler has an "F" rating from the BBB. Debra later left and then another manager came in. Dobler was also horrible with enforcing the parking in the parking lot. People were constantly parking in my spot and they did nothing about it. read more

We were patient and understanding however after waiting this long with no response from any of my emails, calls or anything else we are furious. House -- bad heater, light fixtures and bathroom faucet. Maintenance -- walks around in your house without shoe cover and leaves mark on your carpet. Says will come "sometimes" in the morning and never show up for the whole day. Just wasted your day waiting for nothing, Did 2 different check up for heater, this 2 maintenance don't know crap. Blamed us for the using the heater too much and says we have to pay for it if they found out that it was our fault. (using heater too much, who says that?). A heater technician came and found out that they have to replace one of the component of their heating system. Management ---- the manager named Theresa and Julie reinforced rules yearly while ignoring her co worker Julie who lives in the property and ignoring rules and enforce the rules to other tenant. While Julie likes to enforce rules as well while she does whatever she wants, i.e. parking regulations, her pets that walks around everywhere, her parties, and others. Overall, they hire uncivilized and IDIOT Maintenance, DOUBLE STANDARDS Management, and GOOD EXTERIOR with BAD interior houses. read more

This response is entirely unacceptable to me. As noted in the original review, we knew that we would be moving out mid-month. As such, we asked the rental manager whether we would still be able to receive our security deposit back. We were told that it shouldn't be a problem as long as they found another tenant. They did this so that I would immediately rent the house. As it turned out, they DID find another tenant immediately. Yet, after many attempts, they did not honor their commitment to me which was made in order to secure the rental for Dobler. This is wrong and my biggest mistake was trusting Dobler's word. This remains the worst management company I have ever dealt with and I would never recommend anybody work with them. read more

If I could give Dobler Management less than one star, I would. Park Imperial Apartments, Auburn, WA Unit condition: 1 star Maintenance: 0 stars Management: 0 stars Rented a unit in Park Imperial, two bedrooms, 1.5 baths. When I inspected the unit it was in relatively good condition with a couple missing window screens and a couple bleach stains on the floor. On the day I moved in, the window screens were missing, there was a huge hole in the carpet in front of the sliding glass door, the frame to the glass door was broken and the door would not lock, the were paint stains on the carpet in the living room and hallways, and one of the kitchen drawers was broken. I was told that everything would be fixed right away; it has been 4 months and the frame of the door is still cracked, the carpet still has paint stains and a hole, I still don't have window screens, and the drawer is only fixed because I fixed it myself. They have gone through three managers in three months, and the office is supposed to be open M-F, 9-5 and it has been closed for the last week with no notice as to why or when it will be opened. The management company keeps saying I owe them money and that they are going to start penalizing me for it, but at first they couldn't' tell me what it was for. Then they told me it was for April's rent. I provided a receipt for that, so they said that it was for an electricity bill, which I provided an exact receipt for. Then they said it was May's rent, which I provided a receipt for....they just keep saying it's something else without showing me a bill for which I have not paid. They do not accept personal checks or cash, so everything has to be paid with cashier's checks or money orders and 3/4 of the time you do not get a receipt for what you've paid. Children throw trash out their windows all the time, kids crawl in and out of windows, people yell and scream at all hours of the night, and there is random enforcement of rules. Parking spaces are assigned, but there is no recourse if someone parks in your spot, nor is there any way to tell which spot is assigned to which unit--when I signed my lease, the apartment manager declined to physically show me saying "I think it's one of the ones to the right of the handicapped spot. Just park, and someone will leave a note on your car if it's not yours." DO NOT rent from these people. read more

I'm absolutely not one to ever leave negative reviews anywhere, usually I'm a very understanding person and give everyone the benefit of the doubt thinking "maybe it's just a bad day" etc etc. Unfortunately, mine and my husband's experience as renters with Dobler management have been less than deserving of a 1 star review. I'm writing this in hopes that any future potential renters read this an take a thorough look around the property before renting... INCLUDING in the baseboards of every room. My husband and I are both very neat and clean people, and I am terrified of all kinds of bugs (if there's one in the house i'll notice and have my husband kill it). So it didn't take us long to notice the well-established bed bug's nest in our bedroom baseboards. (6 days after moving in.) we immediately notified our landlord. Neither of us had ever seen bed bugs before, and never had that issue at our previous condo. In fact, our previous landlord can say with certainty there were no bed bugs in our condo before we moved our furniture into the property managed by dobler. Dobler management wanted us to wait until a specific company was willing to come out and investigate. (already looking shady for them) I was not wanting to wait around, we deep cleaned everything in our house and checked EVERY INCH of that place only to realize they were only living in the baseboards and saw one bug, we quickly vacuumed it up and sprayed the house with bug spray we bought ourselves. We called a local pest control company to do an investigation and estimate and they came out the next day. They said that this was in fact an OLD nest of bed bugs and they only found eggs ( we have pictures) and dead bead bugs and this could not possibly have happened in 1 week or less. We have that official paperwork written up and will be taking it to court. Several days later Dobler's specific choice in pest control showed up, and the entire conversation seemed rehearsed, before they even stepped foot into the house they were debating us on the house having any kind of bugs. Once they found a dead bed bug they went on to say "who knows for sure if it's a bed bug though" (I would assume a bug pest control professional could tell better than someone who's been doing hours of google searches on bed bugs, but I guess I was wrong?). They ignored the paperwork we showed them from the other pest control company that came over a couple days beforehand, and were dismissive and unfriendly. Again, we gave the benefit of the doubt. Also keep in mind, while this is happening it is two weeks before our wedding, and just about 2 weeks after moving in, we didn't even have most of our furniture moved into the property at this point. Most rooms were empty. Dobler decided to have our townhome sprayed multiple times and didn't even bother to let us know when those days and times were going to be. We ended up staying at my parent's house for 3 weeks, including the day of our wedding. Even though I was stressed as can be, I was nothing but understanding and respectful although I never received that respect in return. Fast forward 3.5 months later, our landlord informs us Dobler will not be paying for the service they hired and didn't consult us with any decisions. She also informs us that Dobler requires wither the full $1000 plus payment right then and there or we can make payments and the first one being due in TWO days. Luckily, my husband and I have kept the collection of pictures, emails, texts, and both pest control companie's statements. We'll be fighting this issue and hope that we'll see some sort of resolution from this company but until then we will be making sure everyone we know knows to not rent using Dobler management and taking legal actions using all the evidence we have against them. I truly hope nobody else has an awful experience like we have been so unfortunate to have, but reading the plethora of negative reviews, I think this is nothing new with the way they run their property management business. read more

This property Management company engages in predatory renting. When I moved in, they let me sign a 9 month lease. At that time, they told me I would be able to sign another long term lease after the initial lease expired. Of course, that was not the case. When my 9 month lease expired they told me they didn't offer long term leases anymore. So my rent was raised $50 per month and I was now "month to month." Fast forward 4 months, rent has been increased again, another $60 (without explanation). So that is a total of $110 rent increase in 4 months. I have talked to other tenants and everyone I have talked to are in a similar situation; some people experienced as many as 4 rent increases in the past 8 months. Oh and go figure, they weren't allowed to sign a long term lease either. If you can avoid it, do not rent any of their properties. They use an introductory long term lease of 9 months to get you in. At the end of that, you will be on a month to month. They are doing this to recoup their losses from the eviction moratorium. I am currently working with the Military Housing office to get them blacklisted so other service members do not have to deal with the predatory, unstable lifestyle conditions this company supports. read more

Unwilling to help potential renters. I have 1 year and 8 months of good rental history, but they would not budge on needing a co-signer. I explained that I genuinely do not have anyone that could co-sign and they pretty much said well too bad and moved on to the next person. I would have understood if I had no rental history but they only require 2 years and I was just 4 months shy of that. Really disappointing that they are that unwilling help. Probably a sign that I shouldn't rent from them, so maybe it will be better in the long run. read more

We lived in an apartment managed by Dobler for more than 10 years. We were the perfect tenants. We were never late on a payment and seldom asked anything of the apartment management. At no time during our 10 year tenancy did Dobler management replace a single worn item in the apartment. A week prior to moving out of the apartment we discussed the state of the apartment with the maintenance manager. He acknowledged the refrigerator was not working properly and would need to be replaced. The same situation existed with the stove which he also said would be replaced. He also acknowledged the kitchen linoleum floor needed to be replaced. At the move out inspection the assistant manager and the maintenance manager pointed out several worn items but did admit that the wear and tear was normal for a 10 year occupancy. They both admitted that they had no idea how to judge the situation since they had never had a tenant stay for more than 10 years. We told the apartment manager to keep our $250 damage deposit to take care of any items they were concerned about. We paid to have the carpets cleaned the week we moved out. The carpet cleaner was the same firm/person hired by Dobler to clean all the units in the complex. We scrubbed and cleaned all the bathroom floor, fixtures, and walls. The only thing not cleaned in the entire apartment were the windows, refrigerator, and stove since they were to be replaced. After moving out of the apartment we never heard a word from the Apartment or from Dobler Management other than one phone call to verify our new address. Three and a-half months later we started receiving phone calls from a collection agent. He says we owe $1063 in addition to the $250 deposit we will not get back. He would not send us a written description of what the $1,063 was for but did tell us the charges included $600 for cleaning appliances and the kitchen floor - items that we were told would be replaced. Additional charges were for venetian blinds, damage to a bathroom sink, and other minor cleaning charges. I talked to the Apartment manager about the additional charges and she told me she could not discuss it since it had been turned over to Dobler Management. Dobler Management told me they could not discuss the charges because they were turned over to a collection agency. The collection agency will not provide any details. read more

BEWARE! Keep your money and walk away now! Worst company I have EVER worked with. Problems: 1.) Per stated requirement, I made 4x the rent, but I still needed a cosigner who made 5x. Their explanation: The new owners are being "careful" about who they rent to--discrimation. 2.) I had not moved to the state yet, so I set up an appointment for my cosigner to pick up keys. I had already mailed the deposit at this point. My cosigner drove 3 hours to get my apartment keys, and they refused to give them to her. Required that she pay the deposit again. 3.) I was informed that my gate code would be the last four numbers of my phone number since I had initially decided not to pay for a gate opener. After driving 24 hours from Nebraska, my family and I were surprised to find that my promised gate code did not work. The office was closed at this time, and we needed to unload that night to return the UHaul. ​4.) When my rent came due, I was informed that there was an online cliche and rent could only be paid via money order, a pain when you arrange to pay online. Upon move out due to intense rent hike and job transfer: 5.) I was required to forfeit my deposit--- yet rent just increased and everyone was required to sign a new lease anyway. They are changing the legal agreement b/t themselves and residents, yet I am penalized. Now I am in a dispute with this company due to move out charges of $400 for all cleaning costs when these costs were not listed in the contract if the apartment only has normal wear and tear I have attempted to contact them about 10 times since move out due to the dispute, and I have yet to hear a response, a follow, or an apology. Dobler Management (Royal Oaks Apartments in Lakewood, WA) is very unprofessional, do not respond to inquiries, do not return phone calls if there is a problem, do not follow the law with regard to refunding money after a tenant has vacated the premises and the management at the apartment complex office notified said tenant of a refund due. They are scam artists, DO NOT rent from any rentals they manage! Royal Oaks has been going downhill for a long time, there is great difficulty getting repairs done at all, let alone timely; complex office staff never answer the phone (after many days and many tries). Dead trees in the house/townhouse area are not removed but left as eyesores. Office staff sends a notice that a refund is due, then Dobler Management does not honor that, despite it's being the law. Deanna H. giving a 5 star review below on 3/1/2016 is the Asset Manager for Dobler. I know that from my own experience, but a simple Facebook search would confirm it. It's ironic that "Dawn" from Dobler replies to all of these comments pointing out Yelp review guidelines but fails to doesn't understand a very simple one: "Conflicts of interest: Your contributions should be unbiased and objective. For example, you shouldn't write reviews of your own business or employer, your friends' or relatives' business, your peers or competitors in your industry, or businesses in your networking group." I first toured a Dobler property (which will remain nameless because the employees there are good people who don't understand their own terms and conditions) in December 2016 clearly stating that I was a graduate student. I then took my spouse and child for a return tour in March 2017 stating my intentions to move there on July 15th. I then applied for an apartment in mid June. At that time they told me that if I was a student and my wife didn't make enough that we would need a co-signer. Fine. They had my co-signer visit their property to sign paperwork on July 3rd. They had all of our information and said, "I'm sure you guys will be accepted." On July 6th I received a phone call saying our application was denied because my wife didn't make enough money, which they knew a long time ago. After many contact attempts to Deanna at their corporate office thoroughly explaining the ordeal, I finally received a response on July 11th summed up saying that "I didn't read the terms and conditions" and "didn't meet the minimum requirements." Actually, I did read your terms and conditions, which are very confusing if you combine the "minimum requirement" section of making 4x the rent with the "student" section. So with the complex management saying we would be accepted, who should I believe? I then said I could pay 12 months rent up front. They said they can't make exceptions. I guess the most frustrating part of this experience is that I told them I was a medical student back in DECEMBER! Now I am still moving on July 15th and I have nowhere to live. I trusted these people. I told Deanna that I needed someone to help me that cares. She said, "Please do not mistake my inability to approve your denied applications as a sign that I do not care." I then asked Deanna for advice about what I should do now for my family, and she never responded. A simple, "hey you should try xyz complex, they rent to students with families" would have sufficed, but no. Beware: This unethical company negotiates in bad faith and discriminates against students and stay-at-home mothers with the ability to pay. read more

I lived in an apartment complex owned and managed by Dobler Management. I was paying for a reserved parking spot and one came open closer to my apartment and so I asked to switch. No problem I was told, Then I was told that I needed to give 20 days notice for vacating the parking spot that I currently had, so would need to pay for both through the end of the month. I thought it was odd, but it was an insignificant amount, so I went along. Months later on I needed to vacate the parking spot, but this time I was prepared. I checked into the lease agreement and the parking addendum, but could not find the 20 day notice clause. When I informed the office that I was vacating the parking spot, I was again told that I would need to give 20 days notice. I gently asked to be shown the requirement in the lease. The office staff couldn't find anything and suggested that I contact Dobler Management. I did and left a message explaining my issue and requested a call back. No call back ever happened. I stopped by the office and was told that I did not have to give notice to vacate a parking spot. Seems like they are taking advantage of people who do not read their lease. Parking was always a mess and me having two spots for 1/2 a month when I only used one. I will never live in a Dobler Management property again. read more

I wish I could give them less than 1 star. Awful company with terrible management. Nothing but problems. They are nice looking apartments but they are run by complete morons who shouldn't even be in charge of running a gas station. Move out process was horrible and the people at the main office were absolutely a nightmare to work with and incredibly rude. I realize apartments are apartments but the way I was treated by management was unacceptable. read more

DO NOT RENT FROM DOBLER MANAGEMENT. worst experience ever. never returned my calls or emails. never resolved any issues. They made me pay my last months rent TWICE because it wasn't ON FILE from when we first moved in. yet I had proof that we already paid. We gave our keys back early after we had paid our last months rent payment in FULL for the second time and they said they had a waiting list and would be able to get a new renter in their right away and prorate us back... that never happened. they go through way to many managers and assistant managers therefore no one is on the same page!! read more

I absolutely hate this management company. I loved my apartment and the complex itself, but they are horrible people to rent from. The ladies in the office of the complex are so rude, condescending and unprofessional. It doesn't matter if you're a great and respectful tenant. They will treat you like you are nothing. They want your money, and that is it. And I'm not sure if you're aware of it or not, but they are giving your complex and company a bad name. I would really like to see some people working with better atitudes. Stop being so fake and dishonest and treat people with respect, especially when WE ARE THE REASON THAT YOU HAVE A PAYCHECK. read more

This is the WORST property management I ever came across. Not even worth A STAR. Sunset Garden in Steilacoom went through three Managers the two years I was there. Appliances were OLD! Took a while to get them replaced. Cheryl (current Manager) was the best one. She was helpful and professional. But the upper management were not. I wish I could turn back time, I wouldn't have applied if I had done my research. Lesson learned. I had downloaded the Yelp App just to post my review about this company. In my 15 years of renting I have never experienced such a horrible living experience. I was hoping to have a comfortable caring inviting community to live in. The management does a poor job communicating with residents. They just write up unreasonable noise complaints without just cause. The facility I lived at bayridge north is a old building with no ventilation. The walls are PAPER thin, you hear neighbors and people outside at all hours. While living there they had to board up the office because rent checks were being stolen somehow from the office. The community manager lacked professionalism and interpersonal skills. A community manager should be someone who is unbiased, non-discriminatory, and non judgmental. One situation in particular a resident came and pounded on my door, belligerently yelling about making too much noise while me and my family were playing a game within the community hours. When this situation was brought to managements attention it was minimized and dismissed. There main concern In this situation was the noise complaint. This along with numerous other situations made my living experience stressful, toxic, and unsafe. read more

I moved out of one of their complexes, left my apartment very clean and received a bill. I contacted Dobler about the issue. After they reviewed the situation, they returned my deposit. I'm very happy I talked to them and they were honest and fixed the problem. read more

Terrible company! They won't let me renew my lease to lock in a price, just so that they can be greedy & raise my rent every 5-6 months. They do not care about their residents at all. No one bothers to actually maintain the property properly. The sprinkler system behind my building has been out of commission for the last 3 years so I end up with brown grass every year. I cannot afford these constant rent raises. Greedy, slimy company with no regards to their residents. read more

Dobler Management is extremely professional and always courteous in my dealings with them. My apartment community was always well maintained and any issues I had were resolved quickly. I did not realize how amazing this group was until I had to move, thank you Dobler for setting the apartment management bar high. read more

I would give this place a 5 for the prices, but its very unfortunate that they can't work with anyone who doesn't have rental history. I am a college student and work part time. First time being on my own and was instantly turned down due to not having a cosigner who makes 5x the rent as well as financial aid doesn't count as a source of income. I am peaceful, clean person. I think they should change the policies a little bit but thats just me! read more

This is the worst property management company I have ever dealt with!! They are rude. Their late fees are extreme and apply at the 3rd of the month as opposed to the 5th like everywhere else! They have absolutely no compassion...I literally forgot to log in and pay my rent yesterday in their online portal, so I tried to login early this morning...apparently its only open the 28th through the 3rd to make payments.... I asked to have a one time courtesy late fee waived since I have NEVER been late on my rent, denied....When I told them I would need to pay the extra $100 on my next paycheck, I was told I would be issued a 3 day pay or vacate..."its the company policy"...furthermore, I have to get a money order or cashiers check, even though I have never had a payment returned. Closer to when I first moved in, I received a call at 4pm on a Saturday saying that my music is too loud, when 10 pm is supposed to be the quiet hour. 5 months into my 1 year lease the complex decided to turn in to a smoke free complex. Yes smoking cigarettes is bad, but I don't do it in my unit, only on the back balcony. Well now that's not even allowed. I considered maybe I should quit smoking. The last time I quite smoking I used a vape. But that's not allowed either...no cigarettes, vapes, weed, nothing anywhere on the premises. I went to them and told them I do not agree with the changes and was told if I don't sign the addendum for my renewal, I will have to move... "luckily" for me I qualified to live at one of their complexes, but needing to make 4 times the rent...get the f*** out of here. I literally cannot wait until my lease is over!!!! read more
