I visited Doc B's while walking through the Domain shopping area. I'm eating healthy and I opted for the Wok Bowl. This bowl comes with broccoli, almonds, carrots and a choice of noodles, rice or quinoa and a choice of meat (chicken, steak, shrimp). The bowl is a huge serving and I could not finish this in one sitting. I also ordered the fries which were seasoned and cooked very well. Kendall, my server was very helpful and attentive to my needs. Replenished my drink as often as needed. The restrooms were very clean and well maintained. Get the key lime pie! I thought I'd found the best in the area, but this was definitely added to the top of the list. We came here for lunch for my husband's birthday. We were able to get a table right away and our server was really friendly, polite, and smiled a lot. The food was good, but perhaps a tad overpriced. I had the chicken parmesan and my husband had a wok bowl. I felt my meal was good but it didn't wow me for the price. My husband's meal was slightly oily. The drinks were priced reasonably. The decor and ambiance was really nice, and we sat outside which was roomy and cozy. If back in the area, we'd probably stop in for drinks and maybe an appetizer, but I'm not so sure about paying the asking price for full meals again. read more

Recently I came here for lunch because I heard great things. I liked it so much that I came again for dinner. Both time I had good experiences that have made me a fan. When it comes to the food, I've gathered that you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. To start, I've tried the Oven-Roasted Chicken Wings which are great. These are full of flavor thanks to the chimichurri. For lunch, I tried the Shaved Brussels Sprouts pizza since I was craving something different. The flavor is definitely unique which makes it enjoyable. The size is big too, I couldn't finish it all! For dinner, I got the Hot Chicken and loved it! The habanero-honey glaze was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. It also came with creamy delicious coleslaw! Price isn't an issue because the food portions are huge! Doc B's is one of our favorite places to eat. The food is delicious and yummy, the team is fantastic, and everyone is hardworking and committed to providing the best customer experience. It all started last year on a trip to Miami, where we were looking for a local restaurant (not a franchise chain), and we ended up finding Doc B's on Yelp. We went for dinner and loved their 1-pound meatball and crispy chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. We liked it so much that we returned three times in 5 days. Then every time we traveled, we looked to see if there was a Doc B's in our destination. Long story short, we ended up visiting almost all locations (Miami, Austin, Dallas, Chicago, and Tampa), and we loved the experience and consistency in all of them. We did miss some icons on the menu, though, such as the 1-pound meatball and Oreo Ice Cream. There was a situation that made us become fans of this restaurant. We were visiting Austin this past February, and we ordered a 1-pound meatball. Then at the end of the service, the waitress asked about our experience, and we told them that we had tried the 1-pound meatball two times in Miami, and the bread was way better. Then 3 minutes later, the manager, John, came up to our table and told us that he noticed that the bread in Miami was a bit better and he was looking for another supplier in the area. He said he would take it off our check, and we said no, that we had a good meal. Since then, we have become more fans. We moved to Austin recently and have been to Doc B's many times that we've lost count. It's nice to know that the food is fresh and we can taste it. It's pretty interesting to see the logistics in the restaurants and how the staff is happy. Without even realize, we ended up getting to know most of the staff members, and most of them stopped by our table to say hi, and that's nice. We became so used to the quality that we notice when something comes to the table that is not Doc B's quality, and it's nice that the management team is always open and asking us for feedback. A big shout out to all the staff members at Doc B's, especially the one at the Austin location. You guys are lucky to have John as a manager for this location. Wife said it was the best steak sandwich she's ever had $15 Martini? Alright, maybe $15 isn't so crazy for the Domain, and it was actually a much better cocktail than we had last time We had really great tag team customer service, everyone there was attentive without being overbearing. Not only does "nothing" on the menu not have sugar but then she was rude and slow to my party of 5 even after I decided to order nothing based on her attitude. Don't hate just because I'm one of the few people that's given this place four stars. I've been here enough times to justify why I'm docking off a star, so just be patient with me. In light of the recent brochure for the Domain-Northside (google it - they said some pretty asinine things with oodles of casual racism), visiting Doc's may throw some people off. I urge you not to ignore this location. Service is paramount to the management here, clearly. In all the times I've been here, the service just keeps getting better and better. Most recently- we had a manager be extremely patient with my "different" daughter- this is not something you see everyday. Just goes to show that not all Domain businesses are necessarily snooty. Happy hour is the best time to visit IMHO. Well drinks at $6, wines $8, beer $1 off ,and three of their signature cocktails are priced at $7. Happy Hour runs M-F from 4-6 The star of the show is the Crazy Beautiful. The drink looks gorgeous, tastes divine and keeps you craving for more. Trust me on this one. I enjoyed the "our spritz" as well , but not as much as I've come to enjoy the crazy beautiful. The beer selection is not vast- craft beer drinkers will be disappointed. Here's where they lose the star - the food. First of all, I don't appreciate any restaurant (Domain or not) that charges $4 for a tiny side of fries (this is during HH). Unless the potatoes are grown in soil infused with gold, I'm NOT condoning this. Also- $10 for a kids grilled cheese ?? (They don't have a kids menu so you can't see the prices) - BEYOND ridiculous. I've also noticed that the vegetarian options are real limited - these are more than enough reasons to dock that one star off. I highly recommend sitting at the patio when the weather is nice, the inside can get a little noisy as the hours progress- especially on a Friday. As long as you get here by 5pm, there's virtually no wait. There's plenty of parking in the purple garage across the restaurant; they also offer valet parking. You can also park at the Nordstrom parking lot and walk down here pretty easy. In a nutshell- this is the perfect happy hour destination for anyone. read more
