They have a lot of fancy burgers with lots of stuff on them, but I just wanted something delicious and filling...and the Ultimate Cheeseburger was perfect! Just 2 thick quarter pound burgers, tons of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, and American cheese), plus 5280 sauce and pickles. Only thing I didn't have on it was the pickles. This burger is so flavorful and juicy and is actually making me feel better. The combination of all that cheese and a touch of sauce on both sides of the bun just made my body feel good and I'll have a good sleep tonight for sure!!! Came here through a recommendation and left two happy customers. Started with the sampler. The fried pickles were good! The pickle slices are thicker than normal so you can actually taste them. The fried cheese was apart amazing. The cheeseburger egg rolls were okay. Queso was tasty and the Shishito peppers were better than expected and a surprising favorite. Next we both ordered the I can't decide. My choice was the Hawaiian and the perfect burger. I devoured the perfect burger. I would go back for this. The Hawaiian burger was okay. The description was spot on but it was underwhelming compared to the perfect burger. Hubby ordered the I can't decide and split between ring of fire and prime steakhouse. He added aioli to the steakhouse and very much enjoyed it. The ring of fire, is exactly that. It's spicy. He went through a few rounds of ice water. We split the basket of onion rings and fries. It came with 4 giant onion rings and fries. Rings were good, fries were blah. We topped with the homemade custard - because why not. Service was great, environment is relaxed. Don't miss the happy hour! I walked in on a weekday during happy hour and sat at the bar. Was immediately served a cold beer and had my order taken. Within minutes I had nachos brought out with a 5280 burger. Meat from the nachos is from the bbq joint next door (Bert's) and honestly, I don't think I could pick out a single thing I'd change about the entire experience. Atmosphere was great, service was phenomenal, food was savory and the draft and drink selection was full of everything you might want. 5280 might be mile high, but this place feels more like cloud 9. An all Philadelphia eagles bar (go birds!). My first time here and we sat in the bar area. They do have regular dining/ kid friendly dining in the back of the restaurant. Big fan of the ahi tuna nachos. The brisket tacos were good but the meat was a little dry. Burger was delish and cooked perfectly medium and they toast the bun. Really loved the onion rings as well. What a gem of a place. I know, as a vegetarian who am I to review a burger/taphouse? But oh you vegetarians do not fret as there are vegetarian options. The burgers can be substituted with either their black bean/quinoa patty or Impossible Burger. I had the impossible burger which was perfect, but I am sure their black bean burger is very good. We went on a Sunday evening and they have a nice dog friendly outdoor patio. It's also nice they provide dog bowls for water for the dogs. Even though the high was in the high 90s the patio wasn't too hot at all and they do have a big fan to cool you off if needed. The service was amazing. All 3 waitresses that came to help us checked in on us and they spoiled our dog that we brought for dinner with us. I also have never been to a restaurant with so many thoughtful touches. For example in the bathroom they have mouthwash and mints so you can have fresh breath after enjoying dinner. They also have blankets rolled up in the front if the inside is too cold. It was also nice that I believe the owner of the place went around and made rounds and asked us how our food was. You can tell they really care about their customers! Now on to the food. My husband and I were hungry, but not hungry enough to have full size burger. So we ended up doing the duo where you can each choose your own burger but it is slider size. Well the slider size is about the size of In-n-Out burger so it was perfect for us. I got the Baja burger with caramelized onions, roasted poblanos, chipotle mayo, pepperjack cheese and subbed out the burger for impossible. I really enjoyed it and it was not spicy at all. The bun was soft and buttery. My husband got the Wagyu burger and enjoyed it. We also split loaded fries with queso and pico de gallo and it was delicious - the fries were perfectly crisp even when it was smothered in queso and was the perfect size to split between the two but not too large that we had a lot left over. This place is exactly what I want in a hometown restaurant/bar. The staff was friendly and personable. The owner engaged with patrons. A lot of people were there to watch the UT game. They have a lot of space and quite a few big TVs. I ordered wings and that's the one thing they could improve. There was simply not enough sauce (I'm sure they would've happily fixed that if I had asked). The burgers were juicy and cooked right. I realize this is a burger and taphouse place but.... I'm coming here for the ice cream! They'll make whatever your heart desires. It's a good thing I don't live closer to this place because I would be eating WAY too much of their ice cream. We caught a football game here not knowing it's an ordained Eagles bar... luckily there are two sides separated by a wall and we got to sit on the less rowdy side. I went to 5280 Burger with my wife as part of a group of about twenty. We were shown to a private room that was all set up with white linen table cover and tableware on one long table. The menus is endless with every burger possible with fries, onion rings, etc., salads, chicken fried steak and chicken sandwiches. Our drinks were served quickly and one waitperson took our variety of orders. In a short time, the orders were brought in nearly at the same time. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, telling us some of the restaurant's history and telling us about their emphasis on hand-making everything, including the ketchup and ranch dressing. Stopped here with my BF after finishing some appointments at my nearby office. Bar had a nice selection of brews and cocktails although it was a little early for me to imbibe. The burgers and fries were pretty tasty and a bit tall for my mouth to comfortably bite but I managed to eat it all. The burgers were cooked properly and were delicious and the fries were ok. What I found irritating was the slow service. The server was friendly enough, but maybe a little too friendly. After we were seated and had our water and menus, the server engaged in a long conversation with another group that was clearly not regarding the restaurant food. I noticed that the owner/manager came into the dining room and had an annoyed look on his face staring at her, but he didn't prompt her. So we sat for a long time before we could order and thus I'm taking a star off for the lack of customer awareness. Otherwise, I'd enjoy coming here for a burger and brew. Heard so much about this place that I finally was able to make it. It was a great vibe on a Friday night, Sat at the bar Ordered the fried pickles they were perfectly battered perfectly seasoned with a hint of spice, and the ranch was amazing it's pribibly homemade? Ordered the mushroom burger, perfectly seasoned patty, lightly seared buns, water lettuce, my favorite. It was amazing. I added grilled onions on the burger, and it was a perfect bite! We shared a wedge salad, the blue cheese dressing was great, and the basic bacon would need a bit of extra love, but all was good. This burger place is located in a strip center which is next to an H-E-B and Bert's barbecue. After reading many of the reviews, we decided to come here for the 3-6 PM happy hour. We decided on some five dollar drinks. They don't have any frozen drinks, on the rocks only. Inside there is lots of seating and plenty of flatscreens to focus on. They also have a private dining room for your gathering. For more festive setting, I suggest sitting in the bar area. We were surprised that there was hardly anyone in the place during our Tuesday happy hour which meant we got exceptional service. We got an egg roll, two burgers and the chicken fried steak along with fries and onion rings. Our food was exceptional, although the 4 onion rings were limp and soggy and not something I would order again. Burgers and service at the bar was refreshing compared to the lack of service lately at other restaurants. The people there truly look and act like they like being there, which in my line of work "happy employees are productive employees." They have HH Mon-Fri and I've tried a few of their specialty burgers. The best option by far is the can't decide one, where you can pick 2 smaller burgers from the menu to try. The food, we split the loaded fries and Philly cheesesteak. Asked for jalapeños to be added to the fries, but they were left off. Had to ask for utensils. The food was airport quality. Definitely didn't live up to expectations. The fries were overly salty and the Philly was scant on fillings. We requested our check and were brought the wrong one. I really enjoy this place from the atmosphere to the food. I will say over the years they got better. #1 MUST TRY: FRIED PICKLES! Friends and I have tired pickles all over Austin area and these are UNANIMOUSLY THE BEST FRIED PICKLES IN AUSTIN! Breading is light but strong enough to hold together and has flavor, pickles are the perfect cut and have the best flavor. Key point, when you bite in the pickle doesn't pull out of breading! So good! We also enjoy their burgers a lot. I prefer the thicker patties over a smash burger. Honestly I enjoy most of the items on the menu. The owner and servers are very helpful and accommodating if you need to make changes to your food for allergy purposes. To be honest, I don't like to review places I really enjoy because I get worried it'll get influencer crazy... but this place is too good to gatekeep!
