I'll add pics later, but I wanted to truly share yet again another great experience coming to this restaurant! The waiters worked as a great team to handle our large 16 person party, easily excited a game plan to divide the table accordingly and was able to get all the orders correct on the first time around. It was a later in the night reservation but the vibe was still very accommodating and peaceful with no pushiness or emotion of rushing. Great vibes! From the appetizers to the desserts were and easy 10/10 must get again and again! I've been to this restaurant numerous amount of times, and every single time has been a knock out of the park when it comes to the cuisine! I'll keep coming here and recommending anyone i can to come here as well!

Paul Martin's at the Domain is a great go to, especially for happy hour. The burger combo is a steal, comes with a free drink, and honestly feels more like a full dinner than a snack. I asked for the burger rare plus and they nailed it, juicy, flavorful, and cooked exactly right, which does not always happen. We also tried the chicken sandwich, and while the flavor was good, it leaned pretty salty, and that is coming from someone who loves salt, so just a heads up there. Still very solid overall. Best part, you can pair either sandwich with a glass of Caymus or other cocktails/beer and the total is only $18, which is kind of wild for the quality and setting at the Domain. Great atmosphere, good value, and consistent food, just a touch lighter on the salt for the chicken and it would be perfect.

Great first experience. I visited here for a birthday dinner. They were very accommodating to our group which I loved. We were able to sit in the covered patio area so it wasn't loud or overwhelming. The appetizers were great and my braised short rib left me wanting more! I would recommend and look forward to returning.

Friendship may seem simple but requires effort as people grow and evolve over time - offering support, care, and attention to meaningful details. Lasting friendships rely on trust, mutual care, and shared experiences. I am grateful to have about 20 friends of over 25 years, where we can be our authentic selves. Today, I had lunch with one of those friends at Paul Martin's. When you walk into Paul Martin's at the Domain, you are struck by the vastness of the building - high ceilings, variety of seating areas (bar, main dining room, open kitchen, and private dining areas) and large windows. The structure has somewhat of a feel of a speakeasy but with a modern twist. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by a hostess who sat me in a booth area specifically designated by my friend. You can easily see folks walking outside at the Domain through the open windows. For a people watcher like me, I was in people watching heaven. Almost immediately after I was seated, Adriana, our server greeted me. She served water and provided menus. She was very personable and friendly. My friend ordered an Asian noodle salad, Topo Chio water and butter cake (cake to go). Paul Martin's is known for their butter cake. I have it on previous visits - it's buttery, soft, and rather addicting. I ordered the Express Lunch - Steelhead Salmon, garden salad, and Brussel sprouts (substituted out for quinoa). Every effort is made to love quinoa; I am not there yet. Smile. In addition, we ordered the biscuits as appetizers. According Adriana, the biscuits were the most popular starter. Overall, all meals were good. The brussels sprouts was a bit soggy, but flavored nicely. Paul Martin's is known for its happy hour. So, we have to come back and test it out.

Stamped right onto the corner of one of the Domain's busiest areas is Paul Martin's, a casual but refined grill featuring American classics such as steaks, burgers, and more. The location is pretty idealic being a 5 min or less walk from two parking garages and many different shopping spots. The interior is nice and modern, cozy feeling too. We made a reservation for an early 5pm dinner on a Tuesday but that was unnecessary as it was empty. As with anything in The Domain, we would still recommend a reservation as places can get packed pretty quickly. Once we were seated we were greeter by our waiter who was outstanding al throughout our service. For an appetizer we opened with the rustic cheddar biscuits which were phenomenal. The biscuit itself is moist enough but it comes with a honey-thyme butter that adds a layer of sweetness mixed in with a pinch of sharpness from the cheddar. Moving onto the entrees we got a filet mignon (medium) with grilled asparagus, blackened ribeye (medium rare) with mashed potatoes, and a side of Mac and cheese. The filet mignon was great, cooked perfectly and very juicy. The grilled asparagus was also decent but would probably be better replaced by other sides. The blackened ribeye was also delicious, a perfect medium rare and juicy all throughout. The mashed potatoes it comes with are on the lighter side with no lumps at all, just very fluffy (and good). Lastly, the mac and cheese was nice and balanced. It comes with a light breadcrumb top and the cheese is gooey but not too thick it drown the macaroni, a good option to eat alongside a small portion like the filet mignon. We also got some truffle butter and garlic herb butter for our steaks and we made a great choice on that as they gave both a bit of pop and added flavor. For a sweet refresher we also got a strawberry lemonade, but it was alright, a lot of seeds towards the bottom giving it some inconsistent textures. We enjoyed our time here a lot. This is the perfect mix of intimate and casual that a steakhouse/grill in the prime of The Domain should be. The service is great and the food is good. The price is even reasonable when you break it down compared to other steakhouses. All in all, Paul Martin's is an everyman's place to go. Slightly elevated but down to earth, good for families and date nights alike. A steady option in a place swamped with choices.

Paul Martin's is located in The Domain, which was decorated for Christmas with festive music that made the whole atmosphere feel cheerful and fun. We went for dinner with a reservation and were seated right away. The restaurant is welcoming and inclusive, with accessible pathways throughout the dining area, which I really appreciated. With the low lighting and candlelight, it's a perfect spot for our date night. We had a fabulous waiter who offered great recommendations. I ordered a festive mule, which was really good, and my husband chose a red wine from their impressive wine list. There were plenty of great drink options to choose from. We loved everything we ordered. The lobster bisque was creamy and had a generous amount of lobster. We also ordered the blackened shrimp and the brick chicken, both of which were absolutely delicious. For dessert, we split the warm butter cake served with ice cream, which was the perfect ending to the meal. It was such a lovely night, and I can't wait to dine here again.

We stopped by Paul Martin's for some drinks and a few bites, and everything was wonderful! I ordered a glass of wine and a lemon drop--wow, the lemon drop was absolutely delicious, one of the best I've had. We started off with the calamari, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Since we ordered a lot of appetizers, we decided to share a plate for our main course. The pasta with shrimp was really good--great texture and taste. We also tried the biscuits and deviled eggs, and both were excellent additions to the meal. Overall, it was a great experience with tasty food, delicious drinks, and a nice atmosphere. We had a very nice server.

My aunt and I popped in for dinner after running an errand at the Apple Store across the street and were pleasantly seated right away! I ordered the steak frites and my aunt ordered a house salad. Both of our meals were delicious, my steak was cooked perfectly and truly melted in my mouth. I didn't realize it came with a pile of arugula so I quickly added that to my aunts salad but boy was it still incredible! The only downside was the service was painstakingly slow - we never got our water refilled and it took ages to finally get our bill. Our server checked in right after our food was delivered and then that was it - never saw him again until I had to ask another serve to please help us get our check so we could go. Food? Phenomenal! Service? Sub-par

Came in to celebrate my sisters birthday before we all went our separate ways. Was pleased to see it was happy hour however take note, you have to sit in the bar area in order to get happy hour specials. Ovi was our server and he was knowledgeable, attentive and constantly checked on us to make sure our needs were being met. We started off with the devil eggs - for me they are lacking some seasoning however Ovi brought me some salt and pepper and I was able to adjust that on my own. I got a draft beer to which I asked it be fully dressed. Ovi gave me the option of salt or tajin, I asked could we do both and he said absolutely! I got the burger and beer special - I know, a burger? However it was a really good burger as were the fries. We finished off with the warm butter cake that came with ice cream and it was delicious! This was a great lunch and I would definitely come back and try more.

My wife and I stopped in the other night to grab a quick drink at the bar. We had a great time! The restaurant is beautiful. The Domain is awesome! The gal serving us at the bar was great! My wife ordered her favorite wine and I had a great NA beer! We'd stop in again for sure!

I was caught doing a happy dance while enjoying a dinner here. It was seriously delicious and flavors were mild, and on point. The tuna lettuce cups were sweet and tangy. Perfectly mixed and served. The extra sauce served on the side was not needed, because then it became too gingery and too sweet for my taste, but this appetizer is definitely worth consuming. All the fresh cubed tuna were tossed in a marinade that had a much appreciated kick to it. Served in a fresh soft butter lettuce leaf cup, and ideal for low carbing. And my oh my, I have never enjoyed such a delightful braised beef rib that was calling my name. I was ecstatic with my choice the minute my fork was sliding into the buttery soft meat, making me drool before even setting my teeth in it. Though the dishes usually come with mashed potato, I opted for a healthier replacement. The roasted cauliflower was perfectly balanced with charred lines over the tender pieces of curd. My other half was craving for steak, and selected the blackened ribeye and also subbed the mashed potatoes for Brussel sprouts. We immediately noticed the juicy and tenderness of this steak and it was grilled to perfection. Though, a little confusion was with the tiny piece of bacon in The Brussel Sprouts. Not quite sure if that was supposed to be with and received minimal, or if a bacon piece was lost and stranded there. Also, Brussel Sprouts had an overwhelming amount of balsamic vinegar, that made us regret the choice of this replacement. Other than that, the robust and juicy steak was enjoyed well, up to last bite. The best was saved for last. And it wasn't because we love desserts too, but because it was made with love. The in cast iron cooked and served butter cake had these delicious sweeter crispy burned ends. The fresh strawberries, the warm and butter soft butter cake, topped with the creamy vanilla ice-cream was worth all the bites, carbs and calories. The requested message to celebrate us, was beautifully written in cursive and decorated this dish perfectly. The restaurant was lively and yet charming. The dimmed lights by our lower placed booth seats made it feel private. Service was excellent! From getting greeted and seated, acknowledging my special requested order to surprise my other half, to serving and clearing the table, to choosing a most fabulous meaningful presentation of the dessert. Thank you Paul Martin's for a excellent dinner, and smooth execution of my requests. We have added this to our Anniversary list and you will see us again.

With all the construction downtown, finding parking was a challenge, so we opted for valet service. We arrived right at our reservation time and started with a couple of cocktails that were both refreshing and delicious. The portions were generous, and there was more than enough food to enjoy. In fact, we ended up taking plenty of leftovers home. Our waiter was wonderful--attentive, kind, and always checking on us despite how busy the restaurant was. Great service like that really enhances the dining experience. One of my favorite things about this restaurant is that it's located in a historic old bank. The building adds so much charm and character to the experience. I was curious to explore more of the property, especially the vault area, but it appeared to be reserved for employees. Overall, we enjoyed every bite of our meal and had a fantastic experience. I will definitely be back and plan to bring family and friends so they can experience this special place for themselves.

The complimentary bread and butter were also mouthwatering--I honestly wanted another roll. For drinks, we asked for something refreshing, and Delina delivered. My husband had a cocktail that reminded him of an Aperol Spritz with a mojito twist, while the watermelon hibiscus margarita was absolutely perfect for the weather. We shared a Caesar salad and ordered the Dean's Style steak with the sauce on the side. This was the one dish that left me a little disappointed. We were excited to try the food, and were hungry. Our server appeared (I can't remember his name but he was a short guy with blond hair). I ordered a cocktail and my husband ordered beer to begin with. He went away and then came back asking my husband if he wanted some whiskey cocktail, and we corrected him that we had asked for a particular beer. No big deal. We then ordered the deviled eggs and shishito peppers, and the red fish and short ribs for entree. A lady brought us the drinks, and the deviled eggs. Our server swung by and then disappeared. We thought the shishito peppers were on their way. We waited for what seemed like a really long time and still no shishito peppers. We also noticed that each table had a carafe of water except ours. We were just given water once, and then our server never bothered to fill the water up. Anyway, we kept waiting since there was no sign of the server. At this point, we felt he might have forgotten the second appetizer and we just did not want it, but he was nowhere to be found. A man (not our server) brought out our entrees. We then told him that we had been waiting for our second appetizer and would just want to cancel it. We asked if we could get the biscuits instead. He brought out the biscuits within a few minutes. Now this is where it really annoyed us. Had our server just come over and said he had forgotten our shishito peppers, it would have been okay. Human. What he tried was act smart and dropped by saying the shishito peppers would be out to which we said that we didn't want an appetizer after an entree and had cancelled it. I almost felt like he was treating us as if he thought we don't really dine out or whatever and he could just make fools of us. This really didn't sit right with me. We asked him for water and he filled it up left. The food was above average. The short ribs were good but my red fish had been hammered! The biscuits were good. The deviled eggs were good as well. Anyway, we finished our meal, and got the check, paid, and were waiting to finish our drinks. The receipt was on our table. Also, note, it was not a particularly busy day with several empty tables. What our server did next was absolutely unacceptable. I think he wanted to see if we had tipped him after his awful service. We did, but not 20% as we always do because of the soddy job he did, not to mention his attitude. We paid 15% which I think was more than what he deserved now. Out of nowhere, and mind you, after being absent for long periods before, he just came by, grabbed the paid up bill from our table to our shock, while we were still sitting and talking, looked at the bill, turned towards us, and muttered something angry under his breath and walked away. I have never seen this level of entitlement and bad behavior. We left right away. We had been really looking forward to this meal but I would not want to go back. The food was good, but not great, and I would not want to put up with such obnoxious behavior as a paying customer.

I visited J-Prime Steakhouse in Austin last night with my daughter. Our meal was covered by a…read morecredit she received in exchange for creating a social media post for the restaurant. I paid the tip and received no compensation for this review. I'm focusing only on the dishes I personally ate. We had a 6 PM Sunday reservation, and the restaurant was quiet and calm. We were seated near the front, but I saw several dining areas -- all classic, clean-lined, and intimate. Our server, Adam, was exceptional from start to finish. His timing, attention to detail, and genuine care elevated the entire evening. He made thoughtful recommendations for cocktails and dessert, and every suggestion was spot on. Cocktails I asked for something light, and Adam suggested a summery twist on their cucumber martini. He added elderflower, and it was refreshing and delicious. We also tried the Divorce Papers (light, slightly sweet, with an earthy undertone) and the Dreamsicle, which is sweet, fun, and honestly as much an experience as it is a drink. While we waited, we were served a small blintz bite with caviar -- a lovely bite to start the meal. Starters We ordered the crabcake and the Caprese salad, both easily shareable. * The crabcake is one of the best I've had in Austin -- large, packed with jumbo and shredded crab, and seasoned perfectly. The aioli and fresh lemon made every bite better. * The Caprese truly surprised me. I expected heirloom tomatoes and fresh mozzarella, but the Sicilian pesto with Marcona almonds elevated it in an unexpected way. The pesto was thick, chunky, and incredibly flavorful -- it tied everything together beautifully. Balsamic and olive oil are added tableside, and the dish is as delicious as it is pretty. We were also served Brazilian cheese bread, which had a sharp cheese flavor and a great chew. Mains & Sides I ordered the 8 oz filet mignon, cooked rare. It had a perfect peppery crust and a tender center -- exactly what you want from a fine steakhouse. For sides, we shared: * Crispy Brussels sprouts -- roasted through, very crispy, and served with walnuts, feta, shaved prosciutto, and balsamic. Best when you get a little of everything in one bite. * Truffle sweet potatoes -- the first serving had undercooked layers, but the staff handled my feedback professionally and quickly brought a new dish. The remade version was delicious, with a great balance of flavors. Dessert Adam recommended the Carajillo, an after-dinner cocktail made tableside. If you enjoy espresso, get this -- the presentation alone is worth it. We tried two desserts: * Crème brûlée -- large enough to share, topped with berries, with a perfectly thin sugar top. * Flambéed strawberry shortcake -- made tableside by Enrique, who explained each step as he prepared it. The house poundcake is buttery but balanced by the ice cream and strawberries. Not overly sweet, which I appreciated. Also very shareable. Overall A great steakhouse should deliver on food, ambience, service, and drinks -- and J-Prime Steakhouse absolutely does. I had multiple moments where I paused just to appreciate the flavors. Adam made the evening fun, and the entire team ensured the experience felt special. I left wanting to come back and try more of their popular dishes.

This was a celebration dinner. The service was good, but the Japanese A5 filet was nothing special…read more It was just expensive--$144. The dress code was not being enforced because I saw sneakers, ball caps, tanks, and jeans. I requested no nuts due to a food allergy and the broccolini asparagus side had PISTACHIOS in it! Overall, very disappointing and would not recommend to anyone. I've had better steaks at Perry's, Eddie Vs, Peche, and Capitol Grill.

This restaurant was everything I could of asked for. Probably the best restaurant we tried in all of Austin. I'm from Los Angeles, and have been to many high end and hip restaurants, this was definitely up there with some of the best restaurants. Food: Crab tagliatelle is a must! This dish was delicious and everything you can ask for from a pasta. Gnocchi special with Peas and Asperagus is a must. This creamy and feather light dish was packed with so much flavour. Lobster scalloping was very good as well and so was the filet mignon. But best of all were the side of carrots, pear and endive salad and the Cho salad. My drink was the basil cocktail was was phenomenal. Everything was just so so very good. Our waitress Tiagna was an absolute delight in every way. Thank you so much!!!

I had a great view of everybody walking by the restaurant outside :) Our server was fantastic! He was super friendly and attentive. We arrived at 8:00 p.m. and left a little after 10:00 p.m. The food was delicious. My man absolutely loved his seafood pasta dish! He doesn't even eat pasta but he scraped that plate dry. I highly recommend ordering family style for the table but make sure your whole party is on board with splitting the check evenly because the restaurant does not break up the check according to diners only split evenly, I believe up to four ways. Example: Our check was $822 (included gratuities) for seven people and we were only able to split evenly four ways. Roughly $118 each. It is what it is but I didn't even get a main course. Just a glass of wine, a half of a piece of bruschetta, some of the Caesar salad and a small portion of the gnocchi (all shared) I'm glad I got to experience Red Ash, but now that I've checked that off my list, I'm good.
