Not only is the owner a fantastic doctor, but he owns a great bar! We came for guest bartender day. We hung with another one of our favorite doctors while sipping some great beers on tap and eating delicious food. We began with the pretzels. They were served with cheese and mustard. Two dips-score! My husband loved his pot roast sandwich. Apparently it's a fan favorite because they were flying out of the kitchen. My grilled chicken wrap was delicious. The chicken was tender and bacon crispy. It was served with a lot of delicious fries. The owner has a friendly, upbeat personality that radiates throughout his bar. If you're looking for a positive vibe with some delicious food and drinks-stop in. You won't be disappointed! read more

A nice, very friendly neighborhood bar. A long narrow space with 2 bar tables across from the bar and a few tables in the back. They had 8 or 9 beers on tap. Pretty much standard pub fare but the chicken panini and shrimp spring rolls were fresh. A band was playing and we were having fun with the local regulars. Went here last Friday to see a friend's band. The staff was great!!! Very accommodating to us obnoxious Brooklyn crew lol. The regulars were very friendly. This is definitely not a "stuck up" cliquish type spot. We felt very welcome! The food was really good. I'm recovering from bronchitis so ordered the chili and it had just the right kick to it My shot of Honey Jack was an actual shot! Definitely not watered down. I had a great time here! read more

Service was awesome. Did not try the food. Drinks were pretty weak. Odd color scheme for a bar (blue and peach-ish?). They cramped a band into the back of a quite small establishment and everyone inside was forced to listen with no-escape. Prior to the band, had to listen to classic rock non-stop (aside from what we could play on touch-tunes) which I assume was an aesthetic of Doc, given the Led Zeppelin posters throughout the bar. Great local spot! Location isn't perfect (parking can be a problem) A few other places failed here But this is real deal. Bartenders are awesome! My wife and I a few weeks ago had a conversation about trying out a new spot Doc Hennigans that recently opened up in our neighborhood within walking distance from our home. After a visit to one of our favorite doctors and the best Podiatrist Dr. Craig Campbell, in his waiting area I see this Staten Island Advance article on the wall about this tavern. Talk about a small world after reading the article I find out Dr. Campbell is the co-owner of this establishment. After chatting with the Doc during my visit I expressed my full support of his new venture and decided to swing by with the misses for a Friday date night. What a cool unique tavern filled with classic rock in roll memorabilia, locals from the area, with some great tunes playing. They have a few tv screens on the wall along with some tables and a backyard patio. My wife and I sat by the bar area and were warmly welcomed by Lori our bartender, we ordered a classic Tito's Vodka Cosmopolitan and a Blue Point Colder Lager on tap. Doc Hennigans has several beers on tap along with a full selection of spirits of your choosing. The tavern had a warm friendly vibe, catering to all clients. The menu while small but simple with more to come the food was comforting. I ordered the Pastrami on Rye which was fantastic and my wife ordered the Cuban sandwich which honestly she would have preferred if the sandwich was pressed like a classic Cuban panini. Nonetheless the food was delicious along with the fresh macaroni salad, they have a nice variety of classic sandwiches to choose from so you won't leave disappointed. Plus Chef Miguel does some amazing cooking in such a small kitchen. All in all we had a fabulous time, were entertained by some local conversation especially when the Doc himself the classic rockstar, rolled into the bar with his misses Awilda. We certainly will be back to support this fine establishment, we wish them well with this new business venture with many years of continued success. Cheers to Doc Hennigans, see you soon. read more

Doc Hennigans is a new Bar/restaurant on Forest Ave near Blessed Sacrament. The food coming out of that small kitchen is outstanding. The pot roast sandwich can't be beat. The turkey club is awesome as is the black forest ham and the pasta dish. The atmosphere is warm & friendly. The decor with a classic rock & roll vibe really works. Service is great. Absolutely love this place and it's very laid back but very rock and roll atmosphere. The drinks are reasonably priced, the food is very delicious and affordable. Everyone is always friendly. The energy is very comfortable and if you didnt know it was a newer bar you would you think the neighborhood bar was there forever. read more

Wife and I stopped in for drinks and dinner the other night. The beer on draft was ice cold. They have expanded their selection of beers as well. More IPA's, craft beers and even white claws. The food was delicious. Meatball app was fresh, pot roast sandwich was perfect and the chicken and broccoli soup was legitimately the best I've ever had.. small spot on forest ave but don't over look this place. Went last Saturday with my husband for the first time. WHAT A WONDERFUL PLACE! The food was excellent; pretzels, sliders, and a reuben... the beer selection was great and poured cold. The bartender was friendly, courteous, and attentive. There was a duo singing, so we sat at the bar. There is a place out back to sit and eat as well. The bar was comfortable and even though the place was packed, it was not too loud. We will definitely be back and will bring our kids next time. read more

I had the Burrata special appetizer along with the Pot Roast sandwich plate (dipping gravy on the side) it came highly recommended and was a great choice it was ridiculously delicious!
