SERVICE: I come here for my baby black English Labrador Retriever named Gus. The front desk staff is very friendly, responsive (to your calls/requests) and professional. The nurses and doctors are super friendly to Gus, they seem to know what they are doing, always extremely informative, and give Gus spray cheese and peanut butter to calm him down. LOCATION: It's located at the intersection of Bank st and Broadway. I personally feel that it's a little sketchy around here so if you are walking from Fells Point, definitely walk up S Wolfe St (rather then Broadway). There are street parking if you are driving but it seems to be packed all the time. INTERIOR: Nicely decorated inside and it's kept really clean. You enter through the door to the right, check in at the front desk, then go to the back for check up/appointment, then to the left for check out. It's a pretty efficient layout inside. COST: I do feel that it's expensive.. about $60/visit and if you have shots, it can go up to $400/visit but I don't know if I am a good judge since this is my first time raising a dog. Overall, excellent vet close to Fells Point! I've been here twice and both times, we've had great experiences.

I'm so happy that Dr. Wong joined this practice! I had been taking my dogs to a vet that was closer to my home town about an hour drive away, but since they were getting older, I wanted to find a vet that was closer to home. This was probably a year ago. If I were to rate them back then, I would probably give them 3 stars. The staff and medical team were friendly, but getting prescriptions from them was kind of a pain. If you don't use their in house pharmacy, you would have to pay extra for the prescription to be sent to an outside pharmacy. I was getting ready to find another vet because I was getting frustrated with the number of tests and appointments they were recommending and the different "policies" that just seem to price gouge. Then comes Dr. Wong who seems much more realistic and understanding. He takes the time to explain what is going on with your pet and isn't pushy. He provides you with options, along with the pros and cons so that you can make an informed decision. Doc side is pricier than other vets, but I think that's because it's in the middle of the city. One of my dogs had an urgent issue that Dr. Wong was able to squeeze in a same day visit for as well. For all of our appointments, the dogs have been seen on time. Pics of my dogs for attention :)

The vet techs were nice. When the male vet came in, he barely introduced himself. I tried explaining I'm new to cats and wasn't familiar with how vet visits go. He then asks me to "scruff him." I have no idea what that meant, I just said I'm new to cats. He seemed irritated and brought in a vet tech. I thought he was just going to look at his anal area, only to discover he was expressing my cat's anal glands. Did not explain to me what he was going to do nor what an anal gland expression entails. Then he tossed the pus covered paper towels into the trash, and missed. And left it there. I tried asking more questions and felt dismissed. At one point the vet literally just ignored me as he was writing notes. Oh, he listened to my cat's heart and lungs and said everything "sounded good." It's two months later at a different vet, and my cat has a heart murmur and asthma! I brought my cat back one more time for another anal gland expression. When I called ahead asking for the price, they told me it would be $20 + $5 vet tech fee. When it was time to pay, it was $30 or $35 + $5 vet tech fee. Felt like they were just pulling out random numbers. The vet techs were nice overall, but after all of that, I just got a weird vibe and won't be bringing him back.

They told me they could not see her right away but recommended I take her to an urgent care. I was surprised, because isn't that the reason you have a relationship in the first place, for when there's an emergency, to get her seen? It turns out she was diagnosed with diabetes and then had to go to another place for an overnight at the Cat hospital. I was told she should be seen by her regular vet for follow up. Everhart was unable to give me a follow up appointment other than having come in all day and stay in a crate to be seen. I did that, which severely traumatized her.It also made her blood sugar, skyrocket, which is exactly the condition I was coming into have get better, not worse. A few weeks later, she developed breathing problems. I again called Everhart during normal business hours explained the situation and was told I could not bring her in. They said "we are closing soon", even though I live five minutes away and they were still open for another hour. They told me repeatedly how shortstaffed they were because one vet was out on maternity leave and another was on her honeymoon. I'm sorry, this is a staffing issue that was completely foreseen and should have been planned for in advance. I ended up taking her to the emergency room, had an absolutely traumatizing five hours there. One of the questions was what is her regular vet and when I told them it was Everhart, they said "oh yeah, we've been getting a lot of their people here." Long story short, my cat was so traumatized by that experience, and I was so discouraged by the complete lack of access to non-traumatizing medical care (which should have been provided by her regular vet, with whom I had a relationship going back to 2017), that I made the difficult decision to have her put down at home. she died in my arms. Everhart failed me in the most important three weeks of my cat's life. Don't let them fail you and your cat. Go elsewhere.

See below for details. All records/documents were provided (at the businesses request) in advance of the appointment, the front desk confirmed receipt of the same. We were told that they must review documents before our appointment time, no matter what. At the appointment, tech claimed they didn't receive any documents. I showed proof that this was untrue and had to explain my pets history to the tech. Later, when the veterinarian came into our room, she had not reviewed the history/documents provided nor been updated on anything by the tech. I was then advised to get my kitten a specific treatment and vaccine but I had to remind them she already had it done, which was in the records and history I already gave multiple times by now. If they had treated her without my reminder, my kitten could have become severely sick. Additionally, the staff did not seem concerned with how they physically handled my docile and sweet kitten. At the end of the appointment, there was no advice given for our situation but we were charged $100 to be seen. It was acknowledged that if they had reviewed the documents before the appointment, as they specified they would do, then the appointment was unnecessary. I recognize that there are specific protocols in place to keep staff safe but those protocols were extremely unnecessary in our situation. I wish they were more careful as my kitten was already injured and definitely not a threat in any capacity. Overall, I wish this place had treated us with more empathy and respect. It didn't seem like they cared about my kittens wellbeing and only cared about making some money.

I am visually impaired, so Dr. Anna, Kate and her vet tech took extra time to explain what they were doing in case I wasn't able to tell. Best Vet we've found in Baltimore!…read more To give some background: we used to take our dog Luna, a 1.5 yr Chihuahua that has congenital renal dysplasia and recurring pancreatitis, to Eastern Animal Hospital. Eastern was ok at first, until about a year ago, and are now just a disaster. There are so many Vets that work at that practice it's a different vet every time, there's not much personal empathy expressed by them, not much listening and understanding, no relationship with your pet...they're a machine: get your pet in and get them out. They still take forever, so it's for nothing anyway. Whenever you call for questions you're ALWAYS talking to a technician who doesn't have any background knowledge on your pet and *their history*. We are very thankful for the staff at Eastern, just not quite the right fit for us. We knew about Aardmore because it was geographically the closest vet to our house and we ended up rushing our cat there one day and had a good experience. We decided to start taking Luna there after that because of our bad experiences at Eastern. Wow, what a difference! We have taken Luna twice over the last couple of weeks and already have a great relationship with Dr. Tuckerman. She is wonderful. She is smart, understanding, and a great listener. She always remembers exactly who we are and who Luna is, and understands her unique medical history. We explained the treatment plan we had with Eastern and she already has helped us with some new treatment ideas and suggested a different prescription diet. She put in a prescription for us to have nausea medicine on-hand for when Luna's pancreatitis strikes and that's a lifesaver. This clinic is smaller than others and doesn't many, many vets, so its nice to always be able to see Dr. Tuckerman and be able to reach her. She really does care when she asks for updates on your pet. Alongside Luna's experience at Aardmore, our cat Tenley went in for a mass under his tongue. We worked with Dr. Pineau, and he was also kind and knowledgable and did an excellent job removing the mass. Tenley healed from surgery very quickly and easily and seems much healthier (and thank goodness the mass was benign). We are so glad that Aardmore is here in our community. They really WANT to help our pets and they make sure to take good care of us humans as well. For those of us that LOVE your pets, we are very serious about veterinary care, and we are very happy with Aardmore so far. Thank you Dr. Tuckerman and Dr. Pineau!

I WILL be reporting DR. PINEAU to the state board and I advise everyone who has had this kind of…read morenegative experience to do the same. He should not be allowed to provide any kind of veterinarian services if this is how he chooses to conduct himself. Took my dog in because he was feeling sick and not eating in February. Dr. Pineau (the ONLY doctor who works there) said he had a high white blood cell count and was trying to fight off an infection. Sent us home with antibiotics. As my dog is taking the antibiotics he's still not eating, so I call back about that, Pineau gives me prednisone. I go for a follow up appointment and get another blood test done, and he says my dog is still battling this infection with a high WBC, gives me a different kind of antibiotic and tells me to keep him on the prednisone. All the while my dog's eating has still been low, and at this point he's lost like 10-15lbs. I go for another follow up, but this time my dog's legs are hurting him really bad, like he won't even walk. So Pineau takes him in the back, gives him two pain shots (without consulting me) and comes back and tells me the pain is in his hind legs, and that the shots should help, and that I should give him pain pills for 2 weeks. Two days later I get the blood test results and Pineau says his WBC is good now, my dog should be all better if he just keeps taking the pain pills. The next morning I wake up and my dogs back legs are so weak he can't even walk. I take him to an ER and the ER doc gets my medical records and is SHOCKED by the fact that my dog had been SEVERELY anemic the entire time I was taking him to Dr. Pineau and he NEVER said anything about it. Not only that, the white blood cell count that he was so worried about? Wasn't even in the high range until my 2nd blood test. She scanned my dog's bladder to see if she needed to put in a catheter (because he couldn't stand to pee), and found his spleen was riddled with nodules (presumably tumors), and said that all of these things are signs of a cancer in the blood, and that my dog would have a few months left at best... So I had to put him down ONE DAY after Dr. Pineau said he was perfectly fine. This vet is a disgusting human being who stole the last little bit of time I had with my dog because he lied straight to my face with no remorse. I'm not sure if it was because my dog was a rottweiler, or I was a young black woman who he thought was just too dumb to know any better, or if he just didn't care, or a combination of all three. P.S. To the nice lady at the front desk who always remembered my name and my dog and when our appointments were? You're the best. Please find another place to work because I won't stop until I've gotten justice for my dog and myself.
