Dr. Karbonik can be trusted with any of your animal's needs. Centrally located in Canton/Brewer's Hill she offers the best prices of any vet hospital in the city.

Our beautiful girl who they helped us with at such a difficult time. Rest in Peace Spirit.

I have to say hands down the best place to go. Each and every person there was absolutely amazing, the Receptionist, Vet Tech and Veterinarian . We received incredible care. We went at a difficult time for an end of life evaluation. They took so much time and care with us and our beloved border collie Spirit. We left in awe of they total care we received. To top it off 3 days after having to say goodbye to our little princess, we received a sympathy card hand written from the staff. We have no idea how they even knew. I am switching there for our other dog and highly recommend them as the best place to go. I have never had such a great experience especially at such a difficult time. They all went above and beyond.

The vet techs were nice. When the male vet came in, he barely introduced himself. I tried explaining I'm new to cats and wasn't familiar with how vet visits go. He then asks me to "scruff him." I have no idea what that meant, I just said I'm new to cats. He seemed irritated and brought in a vet tech. I thought he was just going to look at his anal area, only to discover he was expressing my cat's anal glands. Did not explain to me what he was going to do nor what an anal gland expression entails. Then he tossed the pus covered paper towels into the trash, and missed. And left it there. I tried asking more questions and felt dismissed. At one point the vet literally just ignored me as he was writing notes. Oh, he listened to my cat's heart and lungs and said everything "sounded good." It's two months later at a different vet, and my cat has a heart murmur and asthma! I brought my cat back one more time for another anal gland expression. When I called ahead asking for the price, they told me it would be $20 + $5 vet tech fee. When it was time to pay, it was $30 or $35 + $5 vet tech fee. Felt like they were just pulling out random numbers. The vet techs were nice overall, but after all of that, I just got a weird vibe and won't be bringing him back.

They told me they could not see her right away but recommended I take her to an urgent care. I was surprised, because isn't that the reason you have a relationship in the first place, for when there's an emergency, to get her seen? It turns out she was diagnosed with diabetes and then had to go to another place for an overnight at the Cat hospital. I was told she should be seen by her regular vet for follow up. Everhart was unable to give me a follow up appointment other than having come in all day and stay in a crate to be seen. I did that, which severely traumatized her.It also made her blood sugar, skyrocket, which is exactly the condition I was coming into have get better, not worse. A few weeks later, she developed breathing problems. I again called Everhart during normal business hours explained the situation and was told I could not bring her in. They said "we are closing soon", even though I live five minutes away and they were still open for another hour. They told me repeatedly how shortstaffed they were because one vet was out on maternity leave and another was on her honeymoon. I'm sorry, this is a staffing issue that was completely foreseen and should have been planned for in advance. I ended up taking her to the emergency room, had an absolutely traumatizing five hours there. One of the questions was what is her regular vet and when I told them it was Everhart, they said "oh yeah, we've been getting a lot of their people here." Long story short, my cat was so traumatized by that experience, and I was so discouraged by the complete lack of access to non-traumatizing medical care (which should have been provided by her regular vet, with whom I had a relationship going back to 2017), that I made the difficult decision to have her put down at home. she died in my arms. Everhart failed me in the most important three weeks of my cat's life. Don't let them fail you and your cat. Go elsewhere.

Our cat was in desperate need of euthanasia and it happened abruptly - I phoned around that day and this was a vet who could come that same day. I'm scratching my head over this and cannot reconcile the - well, the unethical behavior -- The vet was kind and very professional - But this monetary component has left me with a very sour outlook. (I haven't even mentioned that I was told he would arrive at 6:30 --- was then phoned at 6 to confirm that he was on his way -- only to wait another 90 minutes (the location is 25 minutes from my home)). Save for this shady handling of fees, I would readily have considered using this vet in the future as it is closer to my home --- but not now. If I hadn't been so desperate to help my cat, I would have chosen another route.

When he is available, he checks in on our dog to see how he is doing. The treatment itself is administered, most of the time, by the technician who runs the desk. Every once in a while this can cause delays, like that one week where the lady was giving her pet's life story and running through her entire month schedule while trying to set up a follow up appointment. As a…read morepet owner, nothing is more scary than seeing your baby not feeling well and being unable to pinpoint exactly what's wrong. I had taken her to another vet previously who couldn't find anything wrong after some standard blood work. They pretty much said "We don't know, could be pancreatitis maybe but not sure" and left it at that. So this weekend, I decided to try Doc-Side and brought Amelia in for an emergency visit around 12pm on Saturday. I had called in advance so they knew I was coming and allowed me to come in even though they close at 1:30pm on Saturdays. We were checked in and seated in a room immediately. The nurse came in and took down some basic info and did a quick check on Amelia. Then Dr. Tierney came in about 20-30 minutes later to perform a more in depth exam. Dr. Tierney performed the most detailed exam I've ever seen. Our other vet had barely done the type of physical checks I'd seen her perform. They then took her back for testing. The estimate for all recommended services was clearly explained to me and I didn't feel pressured into anything. I got a call on my way home that the pancreatitis test was negative. And then by Monday morning, I got a call saying her bloodwork hasn't revealed anything specific yet so we'll continue to do some tests to find out what the problem could be. That said, I have more confidence in Dr. Tierney than my other vet given the care and detail with which she approached the situation. She explained everything in depth and does her best to create a "no-fear" atmosphere for each pet. I would recommend taking notes or asking to record her as she is more of an auditory person than a note-taker.

I found this to be a much better option! My dog feels much more comfortable because she is at home, and Dr. Anna, Kate and her vet tech, Javier, are both amazing. As I mentioned, I am disabled. I am visually impaired, so Dr. Anna, Kate and her vet tech took extra time to explain what they were doing in case I wasn't able to tell. They took extra time to tell me all of my different options to help my dog, who suffers from chronic allergies, and itches all the time. The cost of a checkup and the medication's are comparable to those of my local vet. The only additional charge is the travel fee. However, for me, it is definitely worth it because of the convenience. However, they also offer a program you can sign up for that helps to cover this cost. Dr. Anna Kate was kind enough to tell me a little about it during their visit today and I plan on looking into it. Best Vet we've found in Baltimore!…read more To give some background: we used to take our dog Luna, a 1.5 yr Chihuahua that has congenital renal dysplasia and recurring pancreatitis, to Eastern Animal Hospital. Eastern was ok at first, until about a year ago, and are now just a disaster. There are so many Vets that work at that practice it's a different vet every time, there's not much personal empathy expressed by them, not much listening and understanding, no relationship with your pet...they're a machine: get your pet in and get them out. They still take forever, so it's for nothing anyway. Whenever you call for questions you're ALWAYS talking to a technician who doesn't have any background knowledge on your pet and *their history*. We are very thankful for the staff at Eastern, just not quite the right fit for us. We knew about Aardmore because it was geographically the closest vet to our house and we ended up rushing our cat there one day and had a good experience. We decided to start taking Luna there after that because of our bad experiences at Eastern. Wow, what a difference! We have taken Luna twice over the last couple of weeks and already have a great relationship with Dr. Tuckerman. She is wonderful. She is smart, understanding, and a great listener. She always remembers exactly who we are and who Luna is, and understands her unique medical history. We explained the treatment plan we had with Eastern and she already has helped us with some new treatment ideas and suggested a different prescription diet. She put in a prescription for us to have nausea medicine on-hand for when Luna's pancreatitis strikes and that's a lifesaver. This clinic is smaller than others and doesn't many, many vets, so its nice to always be able to see Dr. Tuckerman and be able to reach her. She really does care when she asks for updates on your pet. Alongside Luna's experience at Aardmore, our cat Tenley went in for a mass under his tongue. We worked with Dr. Pineau, and he was also kind and knowledgable and did an excellent job removing the mass. Tenley healed from surgery very quickly and easily and seems much healthier (and thank goodness the mass was benign). We are so glad that Aardmore is here in our community. They really WANT to help our pets and they make sure to take good care of us humans as well. For those of us that LOVE your pets, we are very serious about veterinary care, and we are very happy with Aardmore so far. Thank you Dr. Tuckerman and Dr. Pineau!

I WILL be reporting DR. PINEAU to the state board and I advise everyone who has had this kind of…read morenegative experience to do the same. He should not be allowed to provide any kind of veterinarian services if this is how he chooses to conduct himself. Took my dog in because he was feeling sick and not eating in February. Dr. Pineau (the ONLY doctor who works there) said he had a high white blood cell count and was trying to fight off an infection. Sent us home with antibiotics. As my dog is taking the antibiotics he's still not eating, so I call back about that, Pineau gives me prednisone. I go for a follow up appointment and get another blood test done, and he says my dog is still battling this infection with a high WBC, gives me a different kind of antibiotic and tells me to keep him on the prednisone. All the while my dog's eating has still been low, and at this point he's lost like 10-15lbs. I go for another follow up, but this time my dog's legs are hurting him really bad, like he won't even walk. So Pineau takes him in the back, gives him two pain shots (without consulting me) and comes back and tells me the pain is in his hind legs, and that the shots should help, and that I should give him pain pills for 2 weeks. Two days later I get the blood test results and Pineau says his WBC is good now, my dog should be all better if he just keeps taking the pain pills. The next morning I wake up and my dogs back legs are so weak he can't even walk. I take him to an ER and the ER doc gets my medical records and is SHOCKED by the fact that my dog had been SEVERELY anemic the entire time I was taking him to Dr. Pineau and he NEVER said anything about it. Not only that, the white blood cell count that he was so worried about? Wasn't even in the high range until my 2nd blood test. She scanned my dog's bladder to see if she needed to put in a catheter (because he couldn't stand to pee), and found his spleen was riddled with nodules (presumably tumors), and said that all of these things are signs of a cancer in the blood, and that my dog would have a few months left at best... So I had to put him down ONE DAY after Dr. Pineau said he was perfectly fine. This vet is a disgusting human being who stole the last little bit of time I had with my dog because he lied straight to my face with no remorse. I'm not sure if it was because my dog was a rottweiler, or I was a young black woman who he thought was just too dumb to know any better, or if he just didn't care, or a combination of all three. P.S. To the nice lady at the front desk who always remembered my name and my dog and when our appointments were? You're the best. Please find another place to work because I won't stop until I've gotten justice for my dog and myself.
