I have been coming here for about 6 years. We would fly in from Charlotte and eventually moved to Tampa. This and the JW Marriott are my two fav properties but the Wyndham in my opinion has a better pool vibe. Timeshare on one side hotel on the other. What makes this place so great to me is the staff. Seriously they have some of the best bartenders ever and the turnover is low. It's always the same smiling faces when we come back. We are here now for a staycation after hurricane Milton. The bar is on Wyndham Resort's property. It is on the far side of the pool. You can enter the bar without a wristband if you walk from the sidewalk. Otherwise you will need your wrist band to open the pool gate. The bar has sandwiches, drinks and pub food. If you are sun bathing in a pool chair, an employee will take your order. DocK's is the pool bar & grill here at the Wyndham Grand, which I've reviewed previously and cannot say enough great things about it - we have been here numerous times and have not ever been disappointed in any way shape or form. The same goes for the pool bar and pool area in general! This spot is gorgeous. What's not to like. The pool is beautiful and elegant, there's a hot tub, lots of stairs and areas for kids to play and it's huge so you can be in the middle away from everyone and still have space or you can sit on the side and there's a ton of spots to hang out there too. Lots of chairs, umbrellas, couches and other seating areas.. so super nice and comfortable! Grab a spot at the bar itself or a table in the bar-area OR you can sit at one of the chairs or couches and the servers will come to you! Cocktails range from $11-$14. The Cucumber Cooler is a really nice Gin & Cucumber drink which was one of my FAVORITES as well as the Coconut Mango Mojito - especially if you're looking for nice refreshing options! The food options are your usual bar food options - but they're fantastic as far as taste and quality. They're delivered to you in these cute bamboo style bowls, piping hot and with great presentation. The menu is a really decent size for a pool bar and all of the portions are a good size as well! We ended up getting a burger with tater tots, Pork Nachos, Margherita Flatbread (OMG YUM), Buffalo Wings with celery, Chicken Quesadilla, and Coconut Shrimp to share all amongst 6 of us. We didn't even finish it all.. we ate with our eyes clearly when we ordered, but it was all fantastic and we ate until we were totally stuffed!! I have not a single bad thing to say about any of the experience with the food or drinks. All delicious, all in great fun and the service was fabulous!!! Including probably I think, 7 drinks and all of this food it was about $205 I believe when I last checked before we added some other drinks on. Our group of 7 ladies received the best poolside service from the Dock's staff that I've ever had! Colten took excellent care of us. We all had separate tabs and he kept everything straight with what went on what tab. The manager, Gabe, came around and checked up on us and other guests multiple times during our stay. The drinks were all pretty strong. Everyone loved the Frozé All Day frozen rosé. Colten suggested a Grey Goose strawberry lemon drop shot that was the bartender's specialty. We got a round and it was delicious! I didn't eat a full meal here, but I did snack on some things. The hummus had a nice kick to it and came with a nice variety of veggies and pita. This place is located pool side at the Wyndham Grans hotel and Wyndham vacation resort Clearwater beach . We had an amazing experience with all the Bartenders Ryan , Andrew and Sebastian . They were super friendly and very attentive. Andrew made me awesome Mango Mojitos during my stay. I'm not a big drinker but those were my go to drinks while I was visiting the area. My sister had her taste of different drinks during our stay and we also tried some of the menu items for lunch or late snack . The grouper nuggets were amazing and they have great salads as well . You definitely won't go hungry hanging by the pool or taking your food to go and enjoying on the beach. Thanks again guys for an amazing first experience in Clearwater. This is a recently opened pool bar next to the Wyndham Resort pool. I got to enjoy this bar & grille over Memorial Day weekend with some friends who were staying over. The pool is absolutely beautiful and was exceptionally crowded on this holiday weekend. We decided to take a break a little after noon to grab a drink and some food. We had no trouble grabbing a table for four but the waitstaff was a bit overloaded for the amount of people needing service. The food was pricey but I must say that they had some of the best grouper nuggets that I've had in a long time! The Chicken Tikka Flatbread was very cheesy and flavorful, but $14 was rather steep for the size. Drinks are pretty expensive as well. Typical poolside pricing at a nice resort, but not bad quality considering. Much easier than trying to walk down the street in Clearwater to try to find something to eat. read more

Just arrived in town, our room wasn't ready, so we enjoyed some food and drinks at Dock's Pool Bar & Grille here at the Wyndham. The mixed drinks were tasty and the beers very cold just like we like them. We also tried the Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, $10, which came with very crisp veggies and Kalamata olives, which I enjoyed very much! We also tried the Chips & Salsa, $6, plus a side of guacamole, $4. The servings of salsa and guacamole were quite large so our chips disappeared and we had a good amount of sauce left, Kelsey brought us a second serving of chips free. All of the appetizers, I felt, were quite reasonable considering we are in a very popular tourist area. Our server Kelsey kept our drinks full, was very informative about the area and was very friendly. We approve of this bar and grille and plan to return. It's great to have a great bar and grille right where you are staying! And it's great people watching right by the pool! read more

My wife and I had lunch several times at Dock's Poolside. I had the grand cheeseburger and their chips and the cheeseburger was cooked to perfection. It came out very fresh tasting and perfect for a day by the pool! You will be charged the 19% service charge so just be ready! We ate here two days in a row and it went from bad to worse. First time I had the grouper bites, and companions had a Cuban sandwich and the kids mac n cheese bites. The grouper was a generous serving, and was crisp and tender. The remoulade sauce served with them was tasty, but a bit overly spiced. Later though, I was kind of queasy after eating it, and just felt bad. Cuban was okay, but nothing special, as were the mnc bites. Both were served with house made chips which are overcooked, and not fresh tasting, and really not worth the calories. At least the service was adequate on this first visit. Our second visit is what made us decide two chances were too many. The poolside service was just unacceptable. It was not crowded at all, and yet we had a heck of a time being waited on. We finally got menus, and then waited and waited and waited to place an order. The iced tea I got was very sour and old tasting. Seems like it had been brewed days ago, or at least had been sitting, unrefrigerated for too long. We also got a basket of fries, which were an entire disappointment once they finally arrived, far later than seemed reasonable. They were so gross and dried out! When the only thing you order is fries, it would be nice if they were freshly prepared for us, instead of dug out of the old, heat-lamp weary bin. They were delivered without the dips we asked for, and the server who brought it to us seemed so annoyed when we asked for them. Our original server barely came by to ask how our order was, and she did not bother to wait for an answer, when she finally breezed by. We ate our lousy food, because we were hungry and out of options. It was at this point that I realized what is happening here is that Dock's thinks they have a captive audience in their hotel guests, so they are providing the bare minimum of food and service at the highest price they can charge. Everything we had tasted old and unclean. When was the last time they changed the oil in their fryers? Yuck. There is a 19% service charge added to all orders, so the servers don't have to try very hard to earn tips. We have two more days here, but we won't be buying any food by the pool. There are plenty of places within walking distance that provide a far better experience. read more

Spent each afternoon at the pool bar here on a recent 4 day vacation. Enjoyed great drinks, delicious food (especially the authentic guacamole and chips), and were highly entertained by the bartending staff - Sebastian, Andrew and Thor.
