Went here for the 2nd time, w/ a friend, they have a Nice Beer list, which this area needs... However I / we were VERY disappointed w/ the Rubens we ordered, meaning the taste was there, but my sandwich had 2 slices of meat, which for the $$$ [$9.00] was a rip OFF. If this is how the place is going to Start out, then in this small town will not last but a few months. SO, I hope that management reads & most of all listens to such reviews, because I will never go back... We used to go there pretty regularly but haven't gone back since a MOUSE ran through the restaurant (multiple times while we waited to pay our bill) and the staff seemed extremely unconcerned. The waitress said she has "tried to catch it a few times" herself. Ordered take out: We had the Caribbean jerk wings before and decided to give more of the menu a try. We ordered fish and chips, Caribbean jerk wings and boneless wings, mozz sticks and pretzel bites. The fries were completely undercooked, raw and cold inside, the fish and chips was missing tartar sauce and lemon and two of the mozz sticks were missing mozzarella. Oh! And the pretzels were basically the frozen pretzels you get at the grocery store dipped in butter. $51.42 for take out and most of the meal was a waste of time. Meh. I think I'm too old for this place because it was just too damn loud. Husband had burger topped with BBQ pork ~ we agree with other review that this had basically no flavor. I had French dip which was decent. I asked for Old Bay on my fries & for some reason they were so hot (spicy) I could barely eat them & I like spice. Potato skin app was good - I think maybe home made but cheese was a sauce (not whiz) instead of shredded cheddar. Server was friendly & attentive. Menu is limited. I'm reluctant to give them 3 stars but only because the service was so slow and a few other oddball things. I know places have busy nights but the staff was all out of sync and they didn't bother to ask if you needed water or to bring silverware, etc. We waited 15 mins to even get anyone over to order a drink from. Everyone was super friendly but not attentive. I'm not a snob about eating out by any means but if I'm going to wait 20+ minutes to order food I would like to have a beverage to tide me over. The alcoholic type especially. But no one came over and when someone did she apparently wasn't supposed to be our server. But whatever, that's not really important except to show how uncoordinated they were. The food was excellent. Truly. Like I said, I'm not a Snob and the food was great. Very disappointed that you did not have the steeldrum man on Sunday, Sept. 1st. We called Friday to make sure he was going to be there on Sunday and were told , "Yes, he was going to be there." I liked the outdoor patio areas, felt like summer down the beach. Food was fine, average. I had the lobster roll but there was way too much mayo in it. The wings were good. My daughter's fries with her entree were hard as a rock. Probably would try again because I liked the setting. read more

3 starts isn't a bad thing, they may have cleaned up and redecorated, but this is still the same place it's always been and that's not bad either. The food is OK and pretty tasty, it's just not made with skill, love and the finest ingredients and creativity. The place was pretty full since it was a Saturday night after the most beautiful day this year, mostly families and lots of kids, appeared to be mostly locals. Service was good and fast. Partner had a burger with BBQ pork and was very happy. The mountain of fries were good, hot and crisp and especially delicious when coupled with some of the pork that escaped the bun. I had a salad with chicken and portabella mushroom. The mushroom had an odd vinaigrette coating that stole the meatiness associated with a grilled portabello. The chicken was cajun seasoned and there was avocado and tortillas. All those different flavor profiles seemed to be fighting each other and made it hard to choose a dressing. I went with the standard balsamic vinaigrette. All in all it tasted pretty good. I did clean my plate. I drank water as usual and Partner had a Miller Lite bottle. I thought that $5.25 was kind of high for this kind of bar. We were out of there for $40 including tip. We left happy, full and willing to return. read more

Waitress was fantastic and the hotdog and chips my son got were second to none. But- The crab fries had to be canned crab, also soggy and came out in two minutes but tasted like it sat under a heat lamp. French onion soup barely any onions and the cheese was barely melted on top to the point wher I could just pick it up. The bathroom is DISGUSTING. How this place passed a health check I gave no clue. The back wall looks like it has human fluids all over it. My recommendation is for the waitress to go to a place worthy of her great attitude and service. I must point out that they took the French onion soup off my bill and credited me 50% for my crab fries but this was bad enough that I still need to post. read more

Terrible Service! I am currently in the restaurant writing this review. Server took our order and never came back to check on table. No drink refills? no how is your food? Waitress never put in order for French Fries and we had to get up and ask manager for drink refill and fries. When fries came up the order was still wrong. Great place to wander in for a beer...Stopped in for a beer prior to going to Zerns. I felt like I needed a beer before I went into Zerns. Doc Watsons is a typical bar with a good beer selection and a local crowd. Our bartender JoJo was great. She was busy and attentive. I have only one criticism, the bartender was running around doing so much and there was a guy, maybe a manager, standing talking to a customer next to us for 15 minutes and didn't notice that JoJo was busy and couldn't get back to us right away. this was not our first time here, however, the service was terrible tonight, despite low crowd. Waited an hour for food and for the first time in our lives, asked for check before meal came out. Must not have even been close because waitress said, yeah, that's really bad. I understand things can happen- machines break, staff doesn't show, but own it! We ate here for the first time today. The food was delicious. We got sandwiches which came on fresh baked long rolls. The bread was fresh and great. The sandwiches were well filled and filling. My husband and I were there on Feb 1 ordered the onion burger and fries. They both were extremely salty! So salty I could not finish the meal. Also my husband ordered a scotch and water and it was served to us in a large soda glass. It was so watered down because of the glass size he said he might as well have ordered water! Great food and service! So happy this place is here, that aren't many nice sports bars in the area! Love the atmosphere, the outdoor area is so nice, makes you feel like you're at the beach! The newly painted inside is cozy and has good music. Wings are fantastic with good selection of flavors! The bee sting is my favorite flavor but really you can't go wrong with any of them. Chicken and avacodo flatbreads are really good as well!! You may have to wait for food on weekends as this place is becoming very popular! read more
