Great food & drinks at this V Irish restaurant and bar! Service was friendly and professional. Highland recommend. The authentic Irish musical groups that play here are outstanding too!

We sat at the bar to have a drink & eat. Vodka martini was delicious & the bartenders, while quite busy, were very attentive. Solid burger & fries.

Glass of whiskey and mule mug on bar counter.

Really nice spot in downtown New Hope. We sat at the bar which was small and charming. Ordered a whiskey and a mule to drink - both came quickly and were tasty. Had a pear salad and fries as appetizers and both were pleasant. Service was efficient. Overall a solid experience.

The Dubliner is a fantastic Irish pub that offers fantastic food with a great vibe. Right as I walked in I knew it was a special place with the tvs showing futbol and the Irish decor. We were able to get seated right away. We started off with the spinach dip, the short braised rib for our entree, and a delicious carrot cake for dessert. Everything was delicious made with fresh ingredients with authentic Irish food. The carrot cake was especially delicious and you get a huge slice I highly recommend sharing with somebody as this quite a feat to take on yourself. If you are in New Hope this has to be a place you have to visit.

I love me a good Irish pub and this is a great one in a great town! The exterior of this place is welcoming as they come in regards to an Irish pub. The inside is your typical Irish pub too but without the stale beer smell, sadly! lol. Upon entering we were greeted by the bartender as we sat down at the bar which is open and spacious with bar tables with chairs in the area as well She gave us a menu and we ordered a couple beers. - Iced Irish Coffee for my gf(Superb) - Black Velvet for me(Super Tasty) This place is all you could ask for in a proper Irish pub and the bartender and staff were all welcoming and friendly. I can't wait to come back again and order some of that food I saw everyone around us eating because it looked delicious. Sláinte :D

In a prime area of tony historic New Hope, one of the few tony towns in Pennsylvania unaffected by the loss of industry, sits the Dubliner on thecDeleware, an Irish pub serving Anerican and Irish influenced food although purists might scoff at its lack of authenticity and locals might consider it overpriced, this is an extremely pleasant place to enjoy Irish-Anerucan specialitiues such as lamb stew and shepardd pie in addition to burgers and toasted cheese. The service could not have been more Hel op ful or pleasant. The overall ambience in an historic brick building with expised rafters with a 5 piece Irish band playing in the next room belied the 85 degree heat outside. I almost expected a shepard to come in from a long day in the fields and ordering a pint with a slice of cheese. Though this might not be your cup if tea, this might beat out the frou frou overpriced joints on the river by a mile. Our server, Nicolette could not have been more pleasant-with a background of live music, this should bring a smile to anyone's face, Irish or not.

PROS: Amazing Irish pub that everyone would enjoy. Food was good, well priced, staff was friendly, food came out on time, atmosphere was great, and place was clean. They had an upstairs bar along with a few bars on their main floor with three eating areas throughout the place CONS: They only had a one person bathroom which can cause a line up OVERALL: I highly recommend eating here if you're in the area. As long as you don't mind a line to the bathroom this place was a very nice choice to come to and eat at

Having spent a month in Ireland, I was excited to see how the food compared to authentic Irish cuisine. I was pleasantly surprised and thought The Dubliner on the Delaware did a pretty good job in preparation, presentation and taste. We started off black & tans which is half Guinness and SmithWick. Always tastes better from the tap so I definitely wasn't disappointed in the black & tan. For entrees we had the Shepards Pie which was flavorful with ground beef, peas, carrots and mashed potatoes. The Lamb Stew was rich and delicious being braised in Guinness broth. Prices are a little on the high side, but I don't mind paying a little more for good quality food. Staff were friendly, accommodating and tentative. The bar area is separate from the restaurant area so there is plenty of seating available. I would recommend a visit if you're in the mood for a good pint of beer and some authentic tasting Irish food.

I imagine this is what it would be like to be in Ireland. Lively, bustling, and just an overall good time! Great beer list, even for me who can't handle dark brews. All the food was prepared with love, not salty, and just very comforting. Service was excellent-- attentive but not hovering. There are several areas to choose from depending on your mood... the bar, dining room, and back room with live music, had their own personalities. Looking forward to warmer weather to enjoy the outdoor setup!

The setting outside is nice, its also somewhat away from the super crowded part of New Hope. We arrived right in between peak time so we were seated right away. Our server was pretty good and really helpful. The guy ordered the Jameson chicken sandwich, which he thought was ok. My pretzel burger was great though and the only odd pairing was the jalapeño jam. Still, a good decision. I would suggest come in and trying a few things bc the menu looked to have a lot of different flavors.

Really cool Irish pub in the awesome quaint little town of New Hope. The decor was nice, service was good, and food tasted fresh. One of the best little Irish pubs I've been to in recent memory for sure. Perfectly poured pints, good food, and our bartender made good recommendations.

    Sausage Roll

Took my Irish husband here for Father's Day & had a fantastic meal! Started with the Sausage Rolls & you could taste how fresh the sausage & pastry was. I had fish & chips which was cooked perfectly so the fish was flaky & not rubbery. My husband had the full Irish breakfast & said it tasted like home. Will definitely come back!

We've been coming to this location since before it became The Dubliner--it's one of only a few restaurants north of the bridge which makes it a good choice if you have kids and/or aren't looking to be jostled on the sidewalk. Even better, though, is the cozy friendliness of the bar and staff. Over time the menu has been changed in some very smart ways--the addition of a pleasantly-curried vegetarian shepherd's pie, impossible burgers, and happily for me, GF indicators on the menu along with their shift to a non-flour-based roux for the regular shepherd's pie--and the chef has always been happy to kibitz about food prep. (He also has very cool toque's). AND they have HP sauce if you ask. Don't let the often-crowded entry-bar deter you. There's plenty of room in the back, in a loft area above the bar, and if the weather is nice, out back, too. Weekends often have live Irish music in the back room with the tall-tables and if you're very lucky, barman Keith will be singing. Any time there's been a problem with a dish (rare for me) the servers have always made it right, so please don't let yourself go away displeased. It's one of the few places around here where you can get Magners Cider ON DRAFT (which is enough of a draw for me to show up anywhere) AND where you can get awesome recommendations for where to go find good music when you're actually in Dublin Ireland. Our server was friendly, outgoing, helpful, and responsive. There is a generous, tasty bread basket to welcome you. For appetizers we got the calamari and the crispy brussel sprouts - both were excellent and our table loved them. Entrees ranged from the Halibut & Shrimp with Mashed Cauliflower (the clear winner of the night), the Pork Chop special (which was fine, not extraordinary), the Steak (which was good), and the Crispy Eggplant (which was a generous portion and tasty). The sides of loaded baked potatoes and broccoli were ample and good. We shared a dessert which was the homemade mint ice cream cake which was delicious. For the birthday celebration, they literally brought out an "adult pup cup" - dollop of whipped cream in a champagne flute with a sparkler. Based on the prices of the food and overall atmosphere, this was a big missed opportunity for customer delight. Every other place comparable that we've been to (all over the country for that matter) would have had an actual dessert (maybe small sized) to give to the birthday guest. We had a good laugh about it. The menu would compel us to come back, but not for a special celebration.

We drove past all the crowded spots in town and arrived at this more secluded location. They had a small outdoor area with about 4 or 5 tables, so we decided to take advantage of the sunshine. To start, we ordered the calamari and a Greek panzanella salad. Both were delicious, but really loved the sauces that come on/with the calamari. For mains, my husband ordered the meatloaf and I had the lamb burger with beer-battered onion rings. Unfortunately, too full for dessert. Our server was great, didn't catch her name - but she's one of the newest bartenders. She took great care of us and was really helpful with answering our questions, since it was our first time there. The place has a parking lot, but expect Valet at peak times. Regular menu, plus daily specials. Overall, solid neighborhood spot, away from the crowds.
