I did not expect this at all. We went to Rock 'n Rail…read morefestival and were pretty underwhelmed by the music and lack of places to sit, so we went to the patio at Set Em Up. It was very busy and we were seated at the farthest table from the front. We waited around 15 minutes to be noticed and had made up our mind to leave and take our chances at the fest when the manager came over and asked if we had been helped. When we said 'no' he told us he would be right back. He came back with Nicole and told us that the waitress who had our table was busy with huge tables and Nicole would be our server. She apologized for the wait and we ordered a couple of beers and our food. Sharon got Polish sausage and saur kraut and I got Indonesian Noodles and added chicken. The menu said it was sweet and spicy Asian noodles with a fried egg on top plus the chicken. Nicole came out right when our beers needed to be refreshed and we ordered a couple more. The food came out and looked great (my egg had a hot sauce smiley face on it) but we had no silverware. After 3 people trying to find silverware Nicole ran over with plastic forks, real knives and napkins. Then it happened. I took a bite. The Indonesian Noodles with smiley face egg and chicken was the best dinner that I have ever ordered at any restaurant! This was not our first time here but we had gone to the back of the menu for sandwiches and never even noticed the entrees before. The entire time I was eating my Noodles I was floating through the air like a cartoon dog that got a dog treat! Highly recommended!!! Sharon also liked the Polish and saur kraut and kept trying to get me to try it but I didn't want to waste a bite of those noodles! Nicole saved the day for us and we will be back many times, I'm sure. :)

The guys were ready to help if there were any issues! We had like 40 little kids so it was a lot to handle! One thing to note is this bowling alley is a hand scoring bowling alley. The kids were not keeping score so it didn't matter! But just an fyi!

True gets mentioned in the local Facebook vegan groups a lot, and I was recently inspired to go…read morethere based on some of the new menu items that were mentioned. Their standard menu does not feature their vegan options, so we had to wait for the waitress to come back around again to ask for this. Unfortunately, the Vegan Chicken Breast was crossed off, so I'm not sure if that will be coming back. I went with the Vegan Reuben, a reliable standard, but it was terribly disappointing. It prompted me to pull up my photos from our previous dining experience there, and the sandwich looks so much more unappetizing. The current sandwich is wet, pale, and oddly sweet. The color and texture are so different, so I'm not sure what they've changed from their original recipe.

Luckily it also has its own parking lot and finding parking was easy. The menus you can order from both restaurants and have similarities, which is interesting such as the calamari, which is the appetizer we ordered. Interestingly, enough, the calamari is priced differently on both menus depending on which one you look at with a difference of three dollars. Overall, the food portions were very good. They also have some specials. The menu is very straightforward and luckily for us carnivores had a lot of choices. Service was very friendly and kind and the food came out very quickly. The bread service is a little bit off. They probably could actually serve you the olive oil with the cheese and the pepper so that you could actually dip it more for your bread. I do wish the calamari came with legs not just rings. The steak was perfectly cooked and the fries were delicious as well. The barbecue special that my friend ordered did not disappoint. We both absolutely cleaned up our plates and did not have room for dessert. This is definitely spot if you're in the area to check out great fun ambience. It wasn't too packed or busy and the food is very straightforward and tasty.

I likewise don't believe that the quality of the food was up to the cost of it. Plus my wife was somewhat disappointed with the menu options. And I didn't see a kids meal menu, but I assume that they have one if children are part of your group. Anyway, the service was very good. The ambiance was equally good. We were seated in an area that despite being a little crowded, we were still able to carry on a conversation ( I usually have to adjust my hearing aids to silence background noise but not here).

On my second visit a year later, I decided to give it another shot--this time opting for the traditional version instead of the smoked one. It was better, but still only average at best. It was also served warm, and the ice melted quickly, suggesting the glass or drink wasn't properly chilled. The martini was also underwhelming--it tasted mostly like juice, with little to no noticeable alcohol. As for the food, the starters were definitely the highlight. The French onion soup was actually very good. However, the main courses didn't live up to expectations. I ordered the steak medium rare, but it came out closer to medium well--overcooked and under-seasoned. The chicken Vesuvio was also disappointing; the sauce tasted like it came from a jar, and neither it nor the rice stood out in any meaningful way. On a positive note, the ambiance was very nice. The lighting created a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Overall, while the setting and service were enjoyable, the food and drinks didn't justify a return visit.
